MOLiCafe User Manual http://icafe.mol.com User Manual 1 MOLiCafe User Manual http://icafe.mol.com 1 Introduction MOLiCafé Game Server is a Windows based storage target software that shares data such as game clients using server disk and partition method. With MOLiCafé Game Server, you will no longer need to install the same game client repeatedly through all computers in your cybercafés. 1.1 Key Feature • Windows based target software developed using iSCSI technology. • Access server disk contents like it is a local disk at client using standard iSCSI Initiator Client. • Provide enterprise storage virtualization. • Data protection at server. All data will be recovered after client reboot. • Saves time for Network Administrator on software installation & updates for all clients in the network. Once the server shared disk contents are updated, all clients will get updated. • Each client data is private at shared disk. • Built on high performance TCP/IP network architecture. • User friendly Graphic User Interface makes MOLiCafé Game Server easy to manage. • Quick & Easy Deployment for any cybercafés. MOLiCafe Game Server 2 MOLiCafe User Manual http://icafe.mol.com 2 Server Installation MOLiCafe Game Server includes two parts: 1. NT Service: isand.exe runs in background automatically when computer boots up. 2. GUI: isanm.exe provide user interface for configuration and watch server status. 2.1 Login Installation is straight forward, just click "Next" until the end, when successfull click “Finish”. Then we can start configuration by double click the shortcut on desktop or quick launch toolbar. The login dialog asks for password and the initial password is empty. 3 MOLiCafe User Manual http://icafe.mol.com 2.2 Main Interface Here is the main GUI looks like. 1. Save config: Save the configuration that have been save. 2. Add disk: Add new iSCSI disk. 3. Delete disk: Remove iSCSI Disk. 4. Start service: Start MOLiCafe Game Server. 5. Stop service: Stop MOLiCafe Game Server. 6. Option: Change server configuration. 7. Update cache: Cache must be updated after data is changed. 8. Exit: Exit GUI. 4 MOLiCafe User Manual http://icafe.mol.com 2.3 Add iSCSI Disk Let's add an iSCSI disk by clicking "Add disk" button and the disk property dialog will show up. 1. Disk name: Name. 2. Disk Type: Choose either partition or physical disk that is going to be shared with client. 3. Disk Source: Drive or capacity that share with client. 4. Working dir: Where client's data is placed. 5 MOLiCafe User Manual http://icafe.mol.com Click OK and return to main interface. The disk status should be running and you can click stop button to end the service and change its configuration. The configuration cannot be changed when iSCSI disk is running. Disk status including read/write bandwidth usage can help you to maintain the iSCSI server. 6 MOLiCafe User Manual http://icafe.mol.com 2.4 Advanced Settings Though iSCSI works great with default setting, you can also customize it by clicking "Option" button. 1. Max sessions: How many client PC that will share the game server. 2. Server port: Default is 3260. 3. Cache size: Server cache size in MB. 4. TCP No Delay: Reduce response time.(Default:1) 5. Admin port: Default is 3222 6. Refresh interval: Status refresh interval time in second. 7. Username: Default is “admin” 8. Password: Password for GUI control. 9. ICafe billing server host: ICafe billing server host number. 10. ICafe billing server port: Default is 8310. 7 MOLiCafe User Manual http://icafe.mol.com 3 Client Installation Microsoft provided standard iSCSI initiator to support iSCSI solution. If everything is OK, you will see the successful GUI and click “Finish”. 9 MOLiCafe User Manual http://icafe.mol.com There will be a shortcut on desktop after installation. Double click the shortcut to run initiator. Choose 'Add' to add target address. 10 MOLiCafe User Manual http://icafe.mol.com Fill out the table with your server's address. The socket is 3260 by default. Target is added and ready to be connected. 11 MOLiCafe User Manual http://icafe.mol.com Select 'Log On' to connect to target. Note : Client will connect target automatically each time boots up if 'Automaticallyrestore' is selected. You can delete the target from 'Persistent Targets' if you don'twant to reconnect automatically. 12 MOLiCafe User Manual http://icafe.mol.com After connected, the status will change from 'Inactive' to 'Connected'.
