Gand what they can expect from this record?
# 1/2007 G reetings Sadist! Soon you’ll have released a debut album. Maybe for a start you will tell all of those less-informed what, where, how and what they can expect from this record? hear more such fragments performed by Bestial Raids. Are those slow parts some kind of experiment or it just came out like this? We don’t afraid slower parts in our music. In fact those parts are like pure essence of Evil in our music. Be sure to hear much more slower parts in upcoming Bestial Raids releases. No, this wasn’t any experiment, if someone carefully listening Bestial Raids, knows for sure that in our tracks always was slow-downs, just listen “The Last Communion” or “Order of Doom” tracks. HELL! Yes, In the 30 of April our debut full-length CD will be finally unleashed by unholy banner of Morbid Moon Records from Canada. LP version should be available in the end of the year, I think. Everyone who knows Bestial Raids should know what to expect from us. Bestiality, chaos, blasphemy, filth and EVIL! “Reversed Black Trinity” is like a culmination of our earlier works with more massive production and better compositions. Nothing more to say. I like the sound of “Reversed Black Trinity”, for sure it will sadden all sympathizers of digital, sugary sound. It is sordid and just stinks of underground! Where and in what time did you recorded this stuff? I suppose that you have divided the recordings over a year, on 5 sessions, at 4 continents, in 6 countries, with 8 sound engineers, and you still aren’t fukking satisfied, he, he... I, by myself, am already after several listenings to “Reversed Black Trinity” and I can say that with every next release you are progressing. Yes, you are still playing a chaotic Black/Death Metal, but it seems like you are more controlling this chaos (not losing anything from the spontaneity), and by the way you are working out some of your own style. Will you agree with this statement? Well, I wouldn’t say that our newest material is different from our earlier works. I think that your words are caused by better sound production of “RBT”, nothing else. Indeed, our songs are better now, with much more powerful sound, but don’t forget that blasphemous chaos prevails in Bestial Raids. During composing process we didn’t think about other bands, but only about receiving dark, thick atmosphere of compositions, destructive effect of song structures and devastating, raw UG production. Nothing more. proclaim the return of trend after listening “RBT” from mp3 files, without seeing cover, lyrics etc. Indeed, I’m bored by such questions. A huge surprise for me are some tracks on “Reversed Black Trinity”, which are exceedeing the 6 minutes! It is hard to miss, that with every next release you are lengthening the songs duration, moreover with the positive result. It is a big challenge for a band playing in such climate! Are you creating those longer compositions totally spontaneously, or you have to sit on it and combine some? “Reversed Black Trinity” was captured during few dark hours of recording in our rehearsal room and few hours of mixing in our so called “studio”. The sound is crushing, as on our taste. We don’t need any long hours in pro studios, re-mastering, sound engineers, triggers, clean guitar parts, plastic solos etc. We are what we are, and for sure we know THE BEST what sound we want to have. Oh, by the way, I don’t give a fuck about some shit-talking idiots spitting at our sound. I know that you are tired of all those comparisons to Blasphemy, Beherit or Conqueror, and especially questions about a supposed trend for such playing. I am sure that in case of “Reversed Black Trinity” it will be the same. Frankly speaking after listening to this record, the first association is Blasphemy, however with every next listening I felt that I compared you to Canadians mostly through the vocals, which in some parts are similar. Regarding the pure music, for sure it isn’t a fukking rip-off. Some comment? As I said before, chaos prevails in our work. I don’t calculate our tracks, the wholeness of “Reversed Black Trinity” is straight and to the point, so we didn’t have any special rehearsals with those longer tracks, just usual rehearsing. I don’t care if we attack with 6 min. or 2 min. bulldozer. Wait for our future releases, we have ideas on much longer compositions than 6 min. Indeed, band which plays Death/Black Metal usually compose much shorter tracks, but I’m bored by such senseless pseudo grind 3 sec. Farts. Do you know what especially I like in Bestial Raids? You are connected with few labels, in different parts of the world, which theoretically should make you some promotion. However you are not sitting on your asses, not counting the royalties, but for fukk’s sake you are also promoting yourself on your own. And lot of super groups are sitting at their homes after they record a super album and spits out how shitty are the labels, because there are no interviews, advertisements, bla, bla... What am I driving at. Lot of bands pisses on the underground, don’t even know what is a xeroxed ’zine. And as you show it, with a real involve in your doings, you can really gain some esteem in many parts of the world, about which sometimes we don’t even realize. Will you agree with me in this matter? My vokills are inspired by Blasphemy, I won’t deny. But who the fuck cares. Music itself is different, we have a lot of different inspirations. Trends, trends… only pathetic dumb/deaf wanker from web forum will It is hearable on “Reversed Black Trinity”, that you are realizing not only in massive attack, but also in slower parts, wich have a power too. I’ll say more, I’d like to Yeah, there are a lot of fuckers who can only talk about everything, but in fact they’re sitting in front of a desktop and watching underground through monitor. These pathetic pigs talk about the trends, but they won’t spend any bucks on letters, packages etc. I don’t care about something like “respect”, we are where we are by our devotion, nothing more. Bestial Raids is UG band, so we won’t be promoted by any big magazines, big labels or shit like that. Promotion is not the point, I like to trade with other Satanic bands, ’zines and UG distros/labels, so stuff of BR have appeared in lots of distros in whole fucking globe. We all like UG splittapes, rehearsals, live-recordings, so a lot of our work appeared on such releases in the past (spreading our name, by the way), that’s all. Generally are you satisfied with the current Bestial Raids status in the undergound? As I noticed your name passes in really many ’zines, and often is mentioned by other bands. It makes an impression, all the more because Bestial Raids exists only 4 years... I don’t care are we known or not, we aren’t any “part of elite”. As I mentioned above, I like to trade, so our name was spread quickly in worldwide underground. Is Bestial Raids, as a band, identyfies itself with some ideology, or you have something concrete to hand on from yourself? Band without ideology is worthless. We all obey the Devil in form of: cruelty, destruction, blasphemy, chaos, suicide, rape, extermination, war, murder, NOCTURNAL VOMIT have recorded track at compilation LP, which should be released later in 2007 by Calabozo Rec. The title of this track is “Screams from the Tomb” and it really reeks with corpse and old school Death Metal. Also there should be available some t-shirts; “Divine Profanation” stuff pressed on CD (Morbid Moon Rec.) and debut MCD/MLP. 3-way split EP with Embrace of Thorns and Heptameron is still unreachable. How long it takes yet? Only master Satan knows. HEPTAMERON have finished their debut album called “Grand Masters of the Final Harvest”. CD should be available by Time Before Time Rec. already. This album is definitely worth of attention. Expect the return of old Greek school of Black Metal mixed with this one from Switzerland! Beware the other, yet unknown, bands from Hellas called SWAMP and SADOLUST. First one plays killer Death/Thrash mayhem in vein of Possessed, Slaughter with touch of Greek feeling. Now they are preparing 7” Ep called “Nuclear Death” and some tape split. SADOLUST is uncontrolled Sadomasochistic Goatworshipping Black/War/Grind/Noise Chaos in vein of early Impaled Nazarene or Nuclear Death; their rehearsal demo called “Violent Fetish” is just insane! Apocalyptic Shirt Prod. have released t-shirt of Russian Black Metal Kommando called PSEUDOGOD! The limit is very small (33 copies), so get it quickly if it’s still possible. The 4-th issue of RITUAL MURDER ’ZINE is done, so expect tones of Black/Death Metal, blasphemy, perversion, deviation, sadism, disgust and Satanism in purest UG form! RUINS plays old school Black/Thrash Metal, for once called “retro”. Well, I don’t give a fuck, cause they’ve recorded crushing demo tape called “Baptised in the Name of Satan”, which is nothing more than homage to gods called Bathory or Sodom. Also other demo tape is done but I didn’t hear it. Keep an eye on them. Prepare yourself for storming attack of Chilean Underground! DEATH SKULL “Ready to Nail Him depravation, crime etc. Claws of Satanas are overwhelming on this globe. Signs of His victory over mankind are seen only for a few. My conception of Satanism or Devilworshipping is very personal, so I don’t need to proclaim my views on public forum. Everyone interested in our ideology should read the lyrics (which will be printed inside booklet of CD) . speak about. Second thing will be our next full length attack, but this is very distant future. Now, we want to play few live-rituals, so expect merciless attack of Reversed Black Trinity! Fukk! 666 You didn’t played too many gigs. Don’t you have any offers, or you just have some excessive requirements? What do you think about bands or their labels paying for the possibility of playing with better known bands? We usually playing live 3 times per year, so our live performances are rare. I regret few times, we had played, but shit happens. Sometimes the crowd are too stupid to receive our message. We won’t play everywhere, cause this is senseless to play for some metallicavaderbehemothdimmuborgirfans. No, we haven’t any big demands. About second part of your question, no comment. Idiocy and hypocrisy of human pigs is overwhelming. Bestial Raids have already in discography lot of different releases. Knowing you, for sure you have some ideas for next productions. Is it known concretely what it will be? At his point we have one split Ep in plans, too early to News Again” MCD/TAPE is something which any extreme deviant devoted to UG shouldn’t miss; putrid warfare noise of Bestial Warlust or Conqueror is streaming from the pits of Hell once again! VIOLENT ATTACK have finished their debut album, which is reanimation of an old Slayer’s style (“Hell Awaits” era!!!). EJECUTOR (Chainsaw members!) attacks with Demo/Reh tape in vein of Sarcofago, Mutilator or Sex-Thrash. DEMONIC RAGE kills with infernal Death Metal in vein of Incantation, Crucifier or Bestial Warlust; sulphur sound, deep slow-downs and the Devil’s breath just streaming from their releases; and their new “Demo II 2006” have just blown my head off, believe me. Also take look on PROSELYTISM which is a label, distribution and ’zine in one. Later in this year should be out split LP MORBOSIDAD/BLASPHEMOPHAGHER! I don’t know the title, label or precise date, but one thing I know for sure: nuclear desolation is near! BLASPHEMOPHAGHER still doesn’t slowing down. In the middle of 2007 by French Crush Until Madness Records there will be out a split 7”EP “Triumph Of Abominations” with NECROHOLOCAUST. Keep an eye on these Canadians. ‘Bestial Saviour Of The Undead Legions’ tells you something? If not, then they won’t interest you at all. Spanish bestial horde from Hades called PROCLAMATION preparing new album!!! “Messiah of Darkness of Impurity” for sure will destroy all the christian scum and a whole “faggot-black-metal-scene”. Old Thrash/Black/Death Metal spirits are still alive! EMPHERIS have released split live-tape with Revelation of Doom and “Promo 2006”, both releases are very tasty in my opinion. If you don’t know them expect Thrash Metal with Black elements which are very similar to Desaster releases. TEMPLE OF ADORATION ’zine issue 1 is out (continuation of Summon for Satan ’zine?) and it is just astonishing. One of the better ’zines nowadays. There are few mistakes, but for sure it will be corrected in next issues. Also check Sodomistic Rituals Prod/Distro which is another UG activity of Philip, editor of ToA. Later this year DROWNED’s “Viscera Terræ” demo, being reviewed in this letter, will be pressed onto 12” Vinyl by Nuclear Winter Records. It seems like the EMBRACE OF THORNS debut was released on tape by Sodomistic Rituals Productions in limited to 300 copies edition. In the middle of 2007 it should be available also on LP by Iron Bonehead Productions. Newest stuff of Polish EVILFEAST is already recorded. It should be out on the turn of summer as a split CD/MC with Hungarian Marblebog. Can it has be released by awakened Alles Stenar? Fallen Angel 666 has just re-released on CD third demo “Stacheldraht” of Polish / German NEBIROS playing an old-school Black Metal. Their first fulllength “Komando 666” was recorded already in 2005 but till now the matter of a label is still unknown. Not waiting for this, Blachur and Solvernus are working on the new stuff, which suppose to be ass-kicking. There is available a new (third) issue of Black Blood ’zine from Hellas. Inside you can read among the others about Bestial Raids, Morbosidad, Beast Petrify, Embrace Of Thorns, Nocturnal Graves, Inside... A whole is written in English on 40 pages. Review of #2 you can find in this letter. Generally this item is worth of attention. ANIMA DAMNATA “Atrocious Disfigurement of the Redeemer’s Corpse at the Graveyard of Humanity” CD 2006 [Morbid Moon Rec.] Anima Damnata had real problems with line-up and labels in last years, but now they are back with new, second, fulllength. Yes, they playing common music nowadays, but how many bands plays Death/Grind filled with such sickness, blasphemy, evil felling and devotion?! Rabid, violent attacks are overwhelming here. There is no place to hide among all those twisted riffs and ultra-fast drums. Vomiting vocals are killer, with all those high screams, shrieks and low growls. On this CD you won’t find anything new, but who cares?! Anima Damnata brings torment, destruction and spiting with Satanic venom at the faces of christian pigs. I have only one objection, on this release they’re sound much more technical and clean. Don’t get me wrong, this CD have good sound, but I prefer this one from their earlier works (especially “Tormenting..” MCD). Sound of this CD is too clean as on my taste, but this is only my opinion. Ok, that’s all, get this piece of blasphemy immediately. SADISTIK SLAYER Morbid Moon Records P.O. Box 70814 Succ. Chabanel Montreal, QC., Canada H2N 2L2 BLACK BLOOD ’zine No. 2 (A4, 48 pages, English) I have also a debut issue of this ’zine, so I can compare both of editions. Maybe I’ll start from the fault, which is the lot of wasted paper. In first issue the most irritating were too big characters, huge margins and filling free spaces with flyers. In this matter nothing has been changed, maybe beside less number of pasted flyers. However interviews are improving, they are longer and there are more interesting questions. The same is with reviews, which aren’t just a note of 4-5 short sentences now! It appears that Ayfandis is raising the mark of his ’zine and it allows to hope that Black Blood ’zine will raise beyond the common mediocrity. Meantime, in No. 2 you can read about: Chaosbaphomet, Martyrvore, Putrefied Genitalia, Crucifire, Heptameron, Deathevocation, Godless and Frozen Forest. Marcin Ayfandis Dimitrios P.O. Box 3350 10210 Athens Hellas CULTES DES GHOULES “Angel of Poison and Death” Demo Tape 2006 [Enochian Tongues] Undoubtedly some will be surprised that someone still records demos on the tape, and moreover releases such strange thing with xeroxed cover. In case of Cultes Des Ghoules not only edition reminds the old times, but also their music refers to the past years, and concretely to the beginning of 90’s. “Angel of Poison and Death” just stinks of Norwegian Black Metal, this raw and sordid one, with the specific, Scandinavian feeling, which you won’t find now in Norway, or at least not on such scale, as 15 years ago. Vocals in Cultes Des Ghoules are making a very big impression, they are just... insane! Seems like being inspired by early Beherit. I recommend “Angel of Poison and Death” especially for those, who are searching in music for more sick, disquieting climate, than extreme onslaught, and who are not scared with the ‘cellar’ dirt and harshness. Pure, fukking underground! Marcin £ukasz Adach Tumlin-Wykieñ 87 26-085 Miedziana Góra Poland DEMONIC SLAUGHTER “Dignity of Terror” CD 2007 [Death Dealers Association] I was very surprised by this material, shit I couldn’t believe my ears! What a piece of infernal blasphemy. Everything here is just possessed, from vocals to guitar hell-noise. This stuff has perfect sound in my ears, great raw production of Black Metal. Music is very uncommon and far away from Norwegian school of playing. This is like the hybrid of Von, Hell Militia, Mayhem or early (un-gay) Anaal Nathrakh (I think about the sound and morbid atmosphere of those tracks). Those psychopaths have added some sick intros to make the wholeness yet much more sick! Total recommendation! SADISTIK SLAYER [email protected] DEPTCHARGE ’zine No. 3 (A4, 68 pages, English) Deptcharge felt into my hands for the first time, and it immediately made on me a very good impression. Firstly I like its layout. It looks like it is possible to join a little of modernity (computer) with the old methods (scissors, glue) and make something sensible. It looks simply, but it has inside something from an old underground spirit ;) Of course only the appearance doesn’t make this ’zine worthy. The interviews are also looking well. Maybe not all are on Revievs the highest mark, but Paul have managed to ask few concrete questions. For sure worth of attention are interviews with Victimizer, Corpus Christii, Hellish Crossfire, Karnarium, or Darkthrone. Of course there are also reviews and some news, but unfortunatelly not too much. Besides you’ll find in Deptcharge few contact addresses to some ’zines, labels, bands and Rip Off list. I see on this list a familiar name - Juan Nalverte of Devil Arts. Watch out for this bastard! Marcin Deptcharge P.O. Box 470 Craigieburn Vic. 3064 Australia DROWNED “Viscera Terræ” Demo Tape 2006 [Black Warcult Productions] Yeah, killer stuff. Death Metal with additional Thrash influences is something you can hear from this demo. Killer sound, deadly riffs and dark atmosphere which those maniax have created is just astonishing. Vocals are deep, obscure (well known singer called Mors Dalos Ra) and with characteristic style. Every track have own face and definitely not bores the listener, tempos are rather mid with faster moments and few slow downs and additional keyboards, which creates mysterious feeling. Killer piece of blasphemous dark Death Metal. Get it quickly! SADISTIK SLAYER [email protected] EMBRACE OF THORNS ”For I See Death in Their Eyes” CD I don’t know exactly who and when will release it but one thing I know for sure, this album is just crushing. On this debut full-length these Greeks have created something killer. Chaos, blasphemy, deviation an sickness are things I think about while listening of this abomination! On this album EoT have reached the level which only few bands can reach. I think they play more in Death Metal vein that in case of their earlier works, or is this just a case of sound (which is crushing by the way), I don’t know for sure. Anyway, this music I can describe as a deadly mixture of Incantation, Bestial Warlust, Beherit and Sarcofago! Death Metal sounding riffs mixed with Black Metal feeling and ultra blasts, can you imagine that?! Total Recommendation! SADISTIK SLAYER GHEESTENLAND / GRIM FUNERAL - Split CD 2006 [Obscure Abhorrence / Eisenwald] Split with two German Black Metal bands. Gheestenland opens this party, and unfortunately makes it not too heartedly, at least on the beginning. Guys are playing classic, very foreseeable, sometime clumsy Black Metal, which isn’t rising above the average commonness. Tempos are slow and medium, sound is raw, but not ‘from the garage’. For sure commonplace ideas and derivative playing are grating, though when key passages and slower paces are appearing, the band even manages to create some dark climate. In such moments Gheestenland looks decidedly better. Grim Funeral also isn’t an original work, but it makes a great impression. It can be said that music perfectly reflects the band’s name. Grim Funeral plays cold, dismal, dark Black Metal in mid-tempos, with a little lunatic, histerical vocal. I remember that I was similarly impressed by Obtained Enslavement and their “Centuries Of Sorrow”. I mean of course the same feeling and insane, satanic climate. In this way Grim Funeral just crushes! Marcin www.obscure-abhorrence.com www.eisenton.de GOAT TYRANT “Necromantical Curse” Demo Tape 2006 [self released] Goat Tyrant belong to the bands, which cultivates an old school of Black/Death Metal, so it is relatively simple, raw and archaic playing. Of course, in this case we can’t expect any revelations, so there remains a matter if band plays with balls or just rehashes some old patents without any inspiration. Here it can be said that this band has what every man should have between the legs, but not always can properly use his ‘instrument’ ;) To be brief, “Necromantical Curse” is good to listening, but unfortunately not every song can ravish, so to say. Guys have the right models, because they are obtaining from Bathory, Hellhammer or Nihilist (on “Necromantical Curse” you’ll find their cover), the sound is maybe a little ‘from garage’, but everything what has to be is hearable. They have some skills but unfortunately there are some moments, which just lacks of the claw. I hope that Goat Tyrant will still get going and in nearly future will kick some asses. Marcin Micha³ Doliñski ul.Krasiñskiego 18 B 83-110 Tczew ; Poland HELLSPIRIT – Demo II CD-R 2006 [self released] Hell, this is piece of killer Black/Thrash attack. Sound is powerful, tracks are non boring, vocalists screams pretty maniacal and so on. It’s obvious that everyone will compare Hellspirit to so called “retro” Black/Thrash, but I hear in their music something more than silly cloning of Bathory, Venom, Destruction; sometimes I hear at this demo mystical echoes of Mortuary Drape, which is something uncommon nowadays! Ok, all for now, I waiting for their next assaults un-patiently! SADISTIK SLAYER [email protected] INCARNATED “Pleasure Of Consumption” CD 2006 [Selfmadegod Records] I thought that I know this band to some extent, though they didn’t felt into my mind enough to recognize their music. After turning on the “Pleasure Of Consumption” I thought that something’s wrong, because firstly Incarnated doesn’t come from Sweden, but from Poland, and secondly I don’t remember that Pierœcieñ & Co. were playing an old-school Swedish Death Metal ever. I have satisfied myself that I had to fukk up something, and accidentally I threw some Swedish band into the player. So I turned it off right away, and checked out. And shit! True enough. It was really Incarnated, which still acts in Poland, and plays Death Metal with this fukking, Swedish sound, well-known from classical albums of Entombed, Dismember etc. Yeah! And this is what I really like! Death Metal in old, typical Swedish style. Maybe “Pleasure Of Consumption” isn’t a genius work, for sure it can’t be compared with the classics, but fukk this! These guys are playing simply, rather foreseeable, but with a big kick. Personally I think that vocal doesn’t fit here too much. In my opinion it would be better realized in some more extreme Death Metal. Beside the new stuff there are also included some bonus tracks from 1997. These three songs presents a little different band’s face, and concretely more brutal Death Metal massacre, which isn’t so simple and ‘Swedish’. However they’re still keeping their mark. Marcin Selfmadegod Records P.O. Box 46 21-500 Bia³a Podlaska Poland KATHARSIS “VVorldVVithoutEnd” LP 2006 [NoEvDia] The newest album of German Katharsis is nothing more than classic Black Metal release in highest level of morbity, evil, sickness, disgust and cult! Yes, this album is definition of a word CULT! Everything here is just perfect and stinking with the Devil and Death. This Evil spirit is present here in every possible second, believe me. I could compare this album to the earlier “Kruzifixxion”, but why? Both are great, but this one is much more total than all their previous albums. Each track is possessed, sometimes slower, with catchy riffs (”Wytch Dance”!!!), sometimes fast as hell (”Eden Below”), but wholeness is very coherent, straight and to the point. The whole LP looks astonishing as always in case of NoEvDia release. Well, get this LP or CD as soon as possible, cause this is one of the best BM releases ever! SADISTIK SLAYER N.E.D. BP 4 86281 St Benoit cedex France KULTO MALDITO “Kulto Maldito” MC 2006 [Diabolous Records] Recently I was fortunate in getting the records of few bands from Bolivia, among the others Kulto Maldito exactly, which next to Bestial Holocaust seems to be one of the most interesting bands from this country. Sound of this recording is comparable to those from before dozen or so years, and I don’t know if it is an intention, or just everybody in Bolivia plays like that nowadays. If this first, then it is right to congratulate these gentlemen for the model rendition of old, archaic Death Metal spirit! On the other hand if the Bolivian scene looks just like that, and that is far behind what is happening with Metal for e.g. in Europe, then for fukk’s sake, soon I expect more such killers. For a long time I haven’t heard such band, who would play so foreseeable, simply (but not common), have a raw, sordid sound, and what the most important, have an outstanding old-school climate! Lately lot of bands pretends to remind the spirit of so-called old times, but in most cases it is made without a feeling, they just miss this ‘something’. Believe me, you’ll find this ‘something’ in Kulto Maldito, and you’ll remember for e.g. the old recordings of Colombian Masacre. Fukk! Marcin Marcel Maranon Final America Oeste Yuracare #40 Cochabamba Bolivia South America NECROS CHRISTOS “Triune Impurity Rites” CD 2007 [Sepulchral Voice Rex] Finally the Beast of Necros Christos has captured their debut album. This one is the best Death Metal album in last few years, believe me or not, I just don’t care. I cannot listen this CD in normal state of mind. Those Necromants take my spirit somewhere beyond this world of light, straight into rotten crypt where they perform the black masses, rites of necromancy and invocation of the master Satanas. “Triune Impurity Rites” is POSSESSED with those dark, whispered (sometimes acoustic) intros and voodoo drum rhythms! Atmosphere of this album is Evil and Occult to the bone! Human words can’t describe the ancient wisdom and power of this CD. I shouldn’t separate this album on tracks, but I must to write that: “Last Rites of Christ”, “Va Koram Do Rex Satan”, “Christ was not of Goatborn Blood” or the title one (separated on three parts) are just highlights and for sure live-killers! I cannot imagine ANY bad review of this album, I just can’t. This album isn’t to listen but to worship. Brilliant Masterpiece of Evil, Occult Death Metal. SADISTIK SLAYER [email protected] NECROSCOPE ’zine No. 18 (A5, 144 pages, English) For more well-informed frequenters of the uderground ‘Necroscope’ isn’t an unfamiliar name. For those persons I don’t have specially to describe the contents of this ’zine, all the more to encourage for looking after it. It is proper to enlighten all of those less informed, that ‘Necroscope’ is now the longest existing ’zine in Poland, and for sure in the whole world it yields to not many magazines. Adam not only beats everyone hollow with his long lasting work, but also considering the gathered stuff and essential contents. His interviews are straying from the short, brief inquiries, so don’t expect any standard, obvious questions. In 18-th issue there are interviews among the others with: Varathron, Cacodaemon, Angelgoat, Merciless Crucifixion, Nocturnal Vomit, Martyrvore, Caustic... The next big advantage of ‘Necroscope’ are several hundred of objective, very concretely written reviews from all over the world’s underground. Indeed there is a lot of reading! This ’zine is xeroxed, without graphic. Full recommendation! Marcin Adam Stasiak ul. Zakopiañska 42/3 80-139 Gdañsk Poland NIFELHEIM / SADISTIK EXEKUTION “Tribute to Slayer Magazine” Split 7”EP 2006 [Nuclear War Now!] Hell-yeah! Nifelheim is back! “Gates of Damnation” track has blown my head away! Obsessed screams, “Metal to the bone” riffs and a bit of melody was always trademark of Nifelheim, nothing has changed, just pure Black/Thrash/Heavy/Speed Metal! I await their album soon, I hope. SadEx has putted here “Demon with Wings” stuff, so nothing new. Just FUKKING DEATH! The whole release looks brilliant so get it, if it’s still possible, especially for Nifelheim side. SADISTIK SLAYER Nuclear War Now! Productions P.O. Box 7055 Redwood City, CA 94063 USA PSEUDOGOD “Illusion of Salvation” Demo Tape 2006 [Satanic Propaganda] From the cold lands of Russia attacks the rotten plague called Pseudogod. They have recorded just one demo, but they are very well experienced, skilled and obsessed maniacs. “Illusion of Salvation” has only two tracks with total playing time over 12 minutes, but its enough to spread the plague of Satan among the UG freaks and kill with its power. Pseudogod vomits with morbid Black Metal blood in vein of Katharsis, Funeral Mist, Watain and sometimes Archgoat or Profanatica. They are far away of the common “religious Black Metal” band and definitely non boring, as the newcomming bands from this style. Bestiality and devotion streams from this demo tape, so I believe that they will spit much more killer blasphemies in future. Total recommendation! SADISTIK SLAYER Andreas Herrlin Vargspåret 755 97 Uppsala Sweden SATANIK METAL No. 1 (A4, 24 pages, English) Satanik Metal is a debut ’zine from Poland. For now it is thin, somewhere round for two hours of reading. Interesting selection of bands, beside the well-known Moder or Embrace Of Thorns, we can read also interviews with Imperial Hordes, Unholy War, Violent Attack and Human Paranoid. Interviews are short, with standard questions, from which we’ll find out about the basic informations of the given bands. Almost the second half of ’zine is reserved for reviews. And here big advantage for true underground stuff, none of the official releases! Reviews are rather short but to the point. Moreover we have also two gig reports. Unfortunatelly big fault is that Artur have waisted lot of place, which could be filled up with much more different stuff. The truth is that if characters in interviews were smaller and the inserted flyers were thrown out, then Satanik Metal would shrink more to already not large size. Artur assures me that the next issue will be more finished up in this matter. Let us hope so. Good luck! Marcin Artur Znojek P.O. Box 4 25-517 Kielce 15 Poland SLUGATHOR “Circle Of Death” CD 2005 [Time Before Time Records] I always have heard and read about this band in nothing but superlatives. Death Metal of these Finns simply supposed to squash me into the ground. I got their one record, I have listened to, and... would like to shout ‘Arggghhh! This is it!’. Slugathor plays Death Metal in the full sense of the word, in decidedly greater part not breaking loose beyond the mid-slow tempos, with heavy, massive sound, and sepulchral vocal. With its atmosphere “Circle Of Death” refers to the turn of the 80’s, when Death Metal on the one hand was brutal, sordid, but on the other had the dark, diabolic climate. Do you remember for e.g. Goreaphobia, Rottrevore, Asphyx or at least old Vital Remains? Yeah! Those were times ;) Slugathor doesn’t discover the Death Metal again, but at least reminds how to play very good Death Metal, in which it appears that to kick up the ass it isn’t necessary to race at break-neck speed, or to take refuge in some cheap, studio tricks. Fukk! Marcin Time Before Time Records P.O. Box 241 41-900 Bytom Poland SZRON / KRIEGSMASCHINE - Split CD 2006 [Garazel Prod.] Finally! I’ve waited for this release for a long time. Two best Black Metal hordes in Poland have joined their forces (for a second time) against humanity. First one on this release is Szron; they’re raw, evil and cold. Coldness is streaming from those tracks, not many hordes can create such cold and wicked atmosphere in the frames of traditional Black Metal. Szron has already proofed, that is still possible. I waiting for their next, second full-length. KSM plays a bit different kind of Black Metal. Much modern I could say. If you’re obsessed by such hordes as Deathspell Omega or Watain, you should check KSM. Those tracks are filled with religious Black Metal, but they have own face. The “E.” and “The Fall...” tracks are the best proof for that. Very fresh and original ideas, I must say. It’s only pity that they had thrown out their previous drummer, he used to play pretty maniacal and old-school, but don’t worry new one is also great (and probably better skilled). Total Recommendation! SADISTIK SLAYER [email protected] SZRON / TOTAL GENOCIDE - Split 7”EP 2006 [Garazel Productions/Putrescence Noire] If you are bored by new-coming pseudo black metal, plastic releases, SZRON is for you! This is surely one of the best hordes in Poland playing raw, traditional to the bone, Black Metal. These two tracks are just crushing! The “War Hate Death” track is like a fucking Black Metal bulldozer, grinding the whole false judeo-christian morality! Yeah, killer stuff! Total Genocide didn’t impress me. They have few better moments, but whole stuff is just boring. All at all, this release is worth of your attention and money, cause SZRON is something, which any maniac, devoted to real Black Metal, shouldn’t miss. SADISTIK SLAYER TEITANBLOOD / NECROS CHRISTOS split 7”EP 2006 [Sepulchral Voice Rex.] Now it’s time to introduce you, great UG jewel. Probably every one knows each band, but in this case both tracks are new and officially unreleased. First one is Teitanblood, which torments with great track, a bit different of their earlier releases (demo and split with Proclamation). Of course this one is also fast, furious and dark piece of violent attack in vein of Profanatica, Archgoat, Von or Blasphemy, but I think that they had composed own style of rotten and old Black/Death Metal in this case. Nothing more to add, I just hope that they will record their full-length soon. Necros Christos plays nothing new, nothing revealing, but… Death Metal in their way is just breathtaking. Occult felling, straight mid-tempo riffing and rotten, deep growl of Mors Dalos Ra is something so un-convencial nowadays... Killer piece of Occult Death Metal. Both bands are great so they (and SVRex too) deserves for total respect for this killer release. SADISTIK SLAYER TEMPLE OF ADORATION ’zine No. 1 56 pages, English written reviews, biographies and interviews with: Goatpenis, Archgoat, Profanatica, Goatvomit, Reencarnacion, Mortuorio, Nocturnal Vomit, Embreace of Thorns, Nuclear War Now! and others... If you don’t know, I’ll tell you that this UG work is done by Philip of Summon For Satan ’zine (rip) and Sodomistic Rituals Prod., so this time we have a deal with honest and well experienced zine. The whole thing looks just brilliant, old school cut’n’paste style, a lot of flayers and reviews of Satanic UG hordes and zines. The interviews are good, but in few moments the questions are banal or repeat themselves in few different interviews. But this is just small stumble, believe me. Almost all interviews are in depth and interesting. Phil seems to be a real maniac of Goatpenis, cause he had putted here their very precise biography and long interview with those crazy Brazilians. Also he had reprinted some old interviews with Nuclear Death and Death Yell, so we have here also back to the past. All at all great UG job. Contact Philip, cause he have small label and distribution with some unknown UG releases. Sadistik Slayer P. Kretschmer Wandlitzstr. 37 10318 Berlin Germany [email protected] THRONEUM “The Unholy Ones” MCD 2006 [Deathgasm Records] I think that I don’t have to introduce this band. For sure everyone, well-informed in the underground, had an opportunity of listening to them, and know what he should expect from this crew. But if anyone has some doubts, Throneum still plays melodic metalcore, so on the one hand there’s melody, on the other it is very lively music. Generally it is sweet, beautiful, nice, just the same as all of these handsome groups from Sweden and Finland. Excellent, clear sound gives a really big impression. Moreover there’s just splendid production, so you won’t find any sign of dirt and chaos, which can be heard on the records of sucking, archaic bands playing some shitty ‘oldschool Death Metal’ or something like that. As for my expert ear, I hear lot of very original music, so I foretell this band a huge international career. For me it is number one in the country on Vistula in such way of playing. For regularity I’ll mention that this record consists of 7 tracks with intro, and the interested are acknowledging themselves for being inspired by such bands as Asphyx, Necrovore and Grotesque. Never heard of, but I think that these are some other cool bands, who are reaching the topcharts. Marcin Deathgasm Records P.O. Box 681415 Marietta GA 30068 USA TOTAL EXTINCTION “Demo Attack I” CD-R 2006 [self released] Total Extinction is a project of Brzozak from Blasphemy Rites. Frankly speaking I was never very fond of one-man projects, because in most of cases such creatures were presenting the tragical standard. With Total Extinction it isn’t so bad, i.e. it is possible to listening. Musically it is simple, raw and schematic playing in vein of Hellhammer. You won’t hear anything original on “Demo Attack I”, I would say that in such climate you’ll find hundreds of decidedly more interesting bands. So is it worth to become infatuated with this band? Why not, but you have to like really simple, raw, minimalistic (there could be more guitars) way of playing a sordid BlackDoom-Death Metal. Big advantage for suitable vocals, live ‘drums’ (though sometimes irregular), cover of Slaughter and for creating (unfortunately only in places) quite fine oldschool feeling. I think that Total Extinction with full line-up could kick the asses decidedly much stronger. Marcin Pawe³ Brzozowski P.O. Box 7 24-220 Niedrzwica Du¿a Poland Voices from the Polish Abyss - The compilation chaos bootleg 2006 [Necroscope] For some time Adam, responsible for Necroscope ’zine, releases also bootlegs presenting old, less known bands (at least for some people), which were destroying with their sound in 80’s and 90’s. ”Voices from the Polish Abyss”, as easy to guess, presents the bands of Polish underground. For sure it will be a good lesson for the younger group of listeners, and certainly for people from outside the Poland, who don’t know old, Polish bands. The compilation is divided into two parts - “Voice of Thrash” and “Voice of Devil”. For regularity I’ll add that you will find here 18 bands, among the others: Thrasher Death, Dragon, Exorcist, Magnus, Cenotaph, Xantotol, Necrolust, Incest, Taranis... Good set, good lesson of history of Polish rumble. Marcin
