Planning your perfect holiday
Entry & Departure
Requirements
U.S. citizens are required to have a passport valid for
6 months beyond intended stay and an airline ticket
for onward travel. Entry visas are granted upon arrival
for visits of up to 120 days. The current Departure
Tax for Fiji is $40.00 FJD per person over 12 years
old, if you are flying on Air Pacific the Departure Tax is
collected as part of your ticket.
Health & Climate
Fiji’s tropical climate is tempered by southeast trade
winds, May-October is the cooler, drier season with an
average temperature of 76 degrees, while NovemberApril is the wetter, warmer season with an average
temperature of 86 degrees. Fiji is free of most tropical
diseases that affect many tropical islands. Be sure to
check with your health provider if you have any concerns.
Bottled water is readily available across the islands.
Currency & Tipping
The Fijian dollar is the basic unit of currency. There
are many banks and ATMs available. Most resorts
allow guests signing privileges. Major credit cards are
accepted at most shops, hotels and resorts. Tipping
is not customary in Fiji but most resorts have a “Staff
Fund” or “Christmas Fund” that you can contribute to
should you choose.
Dress & Etiquette
A light tropical wardrobe is appropriate at the resorts.
To avoid offending the locals or for visits outside of the
resorts make sure you have a sulu or sarong to cover
with. When visiting a village or some ones house
please do not wear hats and remove your shoes, this
could offend your host or village chief.
Language
English is an official language in Fiji and is compulsory
in all schools. So there’s a good chance that English will
be the language you have in common with people you
meet around the country. English is one of three official
languages of Fiji - the other two being Bau Fijian and
Hindustani.
Fiji Time
While time does seem to slow down in Fiji and move
at a more leisurely pace it is handy to know that Fiji
is 20 hours ahead of Pacific Standard time, so for an
example if its 2:00pm on a Tuesday in Los Angeles - it’s
10:00am in Fiji on Wednesday.
Getting Around
Getting around is easy, there are a multitude of options
to choose from; Coach and Private cars; Speedboat and
Catamaran; Helicopter and Sea Plane; Scheduled domestic
flights and Charter flights. Your All About Fiji specialist
will advise the options available for each of the resorts.
Nadi & Coral Coast
Choose from
Seat in Vehicle - general transfers where guests are
dropped off in the order of their accommodations.
Private car - The most direct route to your resort.
Mamanuca Islands
Choose from
Catamaran - general transfers where guests are dropped
off in the order of their accommodations. Two categories
are offered, Standard and Captains Lounge.
Speed boat - The most direct route to your resort.
Some resorts operate their own boats for this or you can
choose SeaFiji, the premier water taxi service, departing
from Port Denarau. Speed boat transfers can operate 24
hrs a day to many islands.
Helicopter - Island Hopper Helicopters depart from the
airport, Denarau or the Coral Coast straight out to the
islands.
Sea Plane - Pacific Island Seaplanes depart from Nadi or
the Coral Coast to the Islands. They also offer interisland
transfers sightseeing and charter flights.
The North & Outer Islands
Choose from
Scheduled domestic flights - Pacific Sun and Air Fiji
offer scheduled flights to Vanua Levu, Kadavu, Mana,
Malololailai and other islands with landing strips. Transfer
to the resort from the airport is usually by car or van,
sometimes connecting to a launch.
Charter Flights - Many remote islands maintain their
own landing strips and their transfers are by charter flights,
some use a charter seaplane. Transfer to the resort from
the airport is usually by car or van, seaplanes taxi right up
to the beach.
Rental Cars
All you need is a current, valid drivers licence and to be
over 21 years old. Driving in Fiji is on the LEFT side of
the road and much of it is in rural areas with livestock on
the roadways so caution is needed. We recommend using Thrifty Car Rentals, they offer a quality line of vehicles
and have offices at most major hotels.

Each property may have individual conditions & restrictions. Hotels and resorts booked as a package may have different terms and conditions. All rates and

Entry Requirements: Travelers to Fiji are required to have a passport valid for 6 months beyond their intended stay. Visa’s are not required for US and
Commonwealth citizens for stays of up to 120 days, tourist cards are filled out on your inbound flight and a tourist visa is issued on arrival. Please inquire for
citizens of other countries. Proof of sufficient funds and an onward or return ticket are also required. These are the responsibility of the traveler.
RATES: All rates are subject to change without notice. Only full payment, IN OUR OFFICE, will guarantee rates. Certain air segments may have additional
restrictions and full payment may be required at time of booking. Additional charges may apply for FedEx or Airborne delivery. Groups and special tours
require deposits per supplier contracts. All last minute fees are nonrefundable. All reservations ticketed to protect fares are subject to cancel or change fees

CREDIT CARD POLICY: In consideration of All About Travel Inc., DBA All About Tours accepting credit card charges for collection and issuing appropriate
travel documentation the retail agency placing said booking shall be liable for all of said charges placed on the credit card in the event that said charge amounts
are declined or for which charges are paid and subsequently charged back for whatever reason including the unauthorized or fraudulent use of the credit card.
DEPOSITS: $125 per person due 7 days after confirmation plus any additional deposits required by individual properties or tour operators. Many South
Pacific properties have additional deposit requirements. FINAL PAYMENT is due 60 days prior to departure.
FULL PAYMENT: For reservations made under 45 days and more than 7 days prior to departure, full payment is due 7 days after confirmation. For reservations
made less than 7 days prior to departure, full payment is due at time of confirmation. Reservations without full payment will be canceled without notice.
DOCUMENTS: All About Tours will FedEx, Airborne, Express Mail or have documents delivered via our sales representatives 28-21 days prior to departure.
Earlier delivery may be requested. Fees may apply. Full payment is required before any documents will be released from the All About Tours offices.
CHANGES: $25 per change plus any applicable hotel/resort/carrier penalties. Documents will be reissued upon the return of old documents only if required!
CANCELS: Loss of deposit plus any hotel/resort/carrier penalties that may apply. Many South Pacific properties have large deposit requirements that are
non-refundable. CHANGE and CANCEL penalties are non-commissionable!
LAST MINUTE BOOKINGS: There is no charge for last minute bookings unless a $15 Federal Express or other special delivery fee is required.
REFUNDS: For all refunds prior to travel please allow 4-6 weeks to process. Once travel has commenced there will be no refund except for extenuating
circumstances. NO REFUND will be made for partially used or totally unused tour features or car rentals! These requests must be made in writing within
30 days of completion of travel. Please attention all correspondence to CUSTOMER SERVICE REFUNDS.
NOT INCLUDED: Tours do not include gratuities, federal taxes, gas, oil, parking, traffic violations, insurance unless purchased, drop off fees, motor vehicles
surcharge taxes, meals, long distance phone calls and other items of a personal nature.
GROUP BOOKINGS: Terms and conditions for groups will deviate from normal F.I.T. guidelines.
BAGGAGE: Two standard size suitcases plus one carry on piece of luggage will be allowed. Should your itinerary include flights on Horizon Air or
any connection carrier please check with those companies prior to departure for exact size and weight allowed. The passenger must pay any charges
