This system allows personnel to monitor the position of patients
in their beds centrally.
The load cells integrated in the bed register if the patient moves out of
the prescribed area of the bed. On the basis of the calculated centre
of gravity, the movement is registered and if necessary an alarm
triggered if the patient moves towards the edge of the bed and is thus
in danger of falling.

Terms of delivery
Prices are non-binding guiding prices excluding VAT. We reserve the right to modify designs and change prices without notice. Delivery is effected in accordance
with our General Terms and Conditions.
Delivery: Delivery terms subject to agreement. Charges for installation, commissioning and instruction of operating personnel will be calculated on an
individual basis or by agreement.
Invoicing: All invoices are made out in euros unless otherwise agreed upon.
Verification costs: Approved scales are supplied at the prices shown in the price list plus the cost of official verification.
Warranty: 24 months.
Information on personal medical scales
The term personal medical scales covers all non-automatic scales used in medical care to measure body weight (e.g. hospital scales, baby scales, chair weighers
and bed scales). These scales are subject to European Directive 2009/23/EG. However, medical personal scales are also part of the wide range of medical
products which can be marketed in accordance with Directive 93/42/EEC (MPG).
Approval
Approval is the official testing of a measuring device for compliance with design regulations and for the correct display of readings within the allowed error
tolerances. Before a measuring device can be officially approved, design certification must first be obtained.
Validity period of official approval
Official approval is granted for 4 years for personal scales and mechanical scales, excluding bed scales and wheelchair weighers (2 years). There is no time
limit for personal scales which are not used in hospitals. Baby scales are approved for 4 years, irrespective of whether they are used in doctor‘s surgeries or
hospitals.

This law regulates trade with medical products, thus ensuring the safety, suitability and appropriate performance of medical products and the safety and
requisite protection of patients, users and third parties (§1 Purpose of the law).
