He is a native Oklahoman and he has been involved with the LGBT community of Washington DC for over 16 years. Robert served six years as the director of Capital Pride from 1999-2005, and director of AIDS Walk Washington from 2003-2005. Robert has served on the Board of Governors for the Human Rights Campaign, Board of Directors for the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington, Team DC, PFLAG-DC, and The Mayor's Advisory Council for GLBT Affairs. Robert has been the owner of Miss Gay DC America since 2006. In three of the last four years, Miss Gay DC America has won the national crown of Miss Gay America: Victoria DePaula in 2009, Coti Collins in 2011 and Kirby Kolby in 2012. Robert is an active team member of the Federal Triangles Soccer Club, the Club Hippo softball team and the Washington Freedom Professional Soccer Organization. Robert is a resident of Arlington, VA with his two "four-legged" kids, Madison and Wilson. Tammy Faye Taylor – A 25 year veteran of female illusion, Tammy Faye Taylor is a former Miss Gaye Universe (D) and former Miss Gaye USA (DC). She still entertains and enjoys mentoring new queens and drag kings coming up the ranks. Tammy is the mother of Ophelia bottoms and Xavier bottoms DC’s premier brother and sister drag team. She is the owner and promoter of the Miss Gay Fredericksburg pageant. She loves comedy and often does comedic routines. Tammy is also a certified makeup artist and hair dresser, and a rights activist who supports both human and normal rights. Her license plates even say two paws up. Kris McLaughlin – Kris McLaughlin was president of the Arlington Gay & Lesbian Alliance (AGLA) for four years and continues to help with AGLA activities like this one tonight. She also served as a judge for the first two Miss Gay Arlington competitions. In 2006 Kris was recognized as a Capital Pride Hero and in 2008 she received the Arlington Equality Award. She was a Community Advisory Board member for Whitman Walker Clinic/NoVA until it closed. Kris was appointed by Arlington County Board to serve on Arlington’s Diversity Dialogue task force, and she is on WETA’s Community Advisory Council. Fidel Morin – Originally from Corpus Christi, Texas, Fidel retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of honorable service. Moved back to his home town and soon thereafter joined the Imperial Court of Corpus Christ (TRE) in 2007, where he was a line member and later voted in as a board member. In 2011 Fidel moved back to Washington, DC where he became a member of The Imperial Court of Washington, DC (ICWDC). Strongly supporting the court in its inaugural year where he was voted in as a member of the Board of Directors. In 2012, he was elected Emperor I. As Emperor I of the ICWDC, he has vigorously made it his personal commitment to forge a wider community relationship with various organizations in the DC, Maryland and Virginia communities. Fidel truly believes in the purpose and mission of The Imperial Court of Washington, DC and that of the International Court System, which is to raise funds for organizations, including but not limited to those supporting just the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) communities and play a significant role in the many local GLBT communities, spearheading HIV/AIDS services, human rights advocacy, youth enrichment and to promote cooperation and communication among member courts, create awareness and visibility, and stake our place in GLBT history. Shelby Blake Stephyns – Shelby is thrilled to be judging the Miss Gay Arlington for the second year. She is the current Miss PW'S Sports Bar 2012 and The Academy of Washington's Vice Lady. Previous held titles include: Miss Gaye Zodiac, Miss Black & White, Duchess of Beekman Place, Showstopper Award and shockingly (to some...) Mr. Maryland Leather. Shelby's passion for the theater has allowed her to start a new campaign for all First Ladies of the Academy of Washington. Starting this year, the new first ladies will chose a charity to sponsor and this year she has chosen then amazing Broadway Cares/Equity Fight AIDS. In addition to helping raise monies for this most amazing charity, she has also given her time and talents to help raise money for Grandma's House, PFLAG, The GLCCB, Pets-DC, The PW'S titleholders, Contestants for Miss Gay Maryland and other benefits around the area. You can check her out performing all over the city at venues such as PW'S Sports Bar, Remingtons, Town DC, Freddie's, Wings & Things, and the Black Fox Lounge where she is part of the permanent cast of their brand new Sunday Night show, Tula's Cabaret @ The Black Fox Lounge.
