A media room is the perfect combination of a private home theater
and a traditional living room. It incorporates high definition
television and digital surround sound with a casual,entertaining
environment. Equinox combines the best of both worlds - the
comfort of casual seating and the advanced technology
features of home theater furnishings.
The Style
The Equinox was created to complement virtually any
decor. The elegance of the base design allows it
to adapt to any room style. By selecting from five
unique foot forms and six outside arm options,you
can create the look that’ s right for you.
This is no ordinary piece of furniture The
secret is in the framework that includes an
adjustable forward sliding seatpan with
three lockable positions available on most
Equinox elements.

Z51 through Z59 - Grade I Leathers
Z62 through Z75 - Grade II Leathers
Z77 through Z82 - Grade III Leathers
The primary difference in the leather grades is scarcity. Our
leather levels are designated by the first numbers after the
Z, the second number is the color indicator.
Z51 will be more abundant than Z 80 as an example.
Additionally as you get higher the number value can
indicate that you are closer to a FULL ANALINE versus
SEMI-ANALINE leather. Semi is more protected than full
aniline leather, which has no protection. Our semi aniline
leathers are European in origin and are great. All of our
leathers are TOP GRAIN, which means only the TOP of
the hide is used. We do not use SPLITS or corrected hides.
Think of going to the deli and ordering roast beef, as the
meat is sliced layer after layer. That is how a split is created,
the leather is sliced. You will get an inferior grade and
strength from a split versus using only the top of the
leather, thus the designation TOP GRAIN. Splits increase
the yield of the hide significantly and most manufacturers
will use them, especially where you do not touch or see the
leather. CinemaTech absolutely will not do that. Corrected
hides are basically “painted.” In the dye process,
(CinemaTech leathers are dyed in Italy) lesser
quality hides are painted with color to hide
imperfections. We do not use corrected hides.
The “hand “of the leathers is very important. Hand
means touch and our leathers have different hand
or touch characteristics. One is not necessarily
better than the other, it is a personal choice. Our
most popular leathers are in the Z 65 / Z 70 / Z
75 and Z 79 collections. Z 80 & Z 82 are
spectacular leathers but not as durable as the other
levels from drink, food or oil because of their lack
of protection.
