The CobraTM Shootbolt system from Winkhaus, with up to 6 locking points, is
the latest development in the renowned range of Multi-Point Locks from one of
the world’s largest manufacturers.
With over 150 years of experience in producing locking systems for the world

Designed in the UK, made and assembled in Germany utilising German

1. Steel Anti-flex Bars:
Sash sidewall support arms designed to help reduce twist
and flex if corners of the window are attacked by a potential
burglar.
2. Forged Steel Mushroom Heads:
Designed to help withstand prising apart in a forced entry
attack the mushrooms can also be adjusted ±1mm to allow

for any sash misalignment during and after installation.
3. CobraTM Cover Plate:
High pressure die cast clamping plate for rigid extension
rod capture and smooth shootbolt transmission.
4. High Performance Central Gearbox:
Proven Winkhaus gearbox design for high strength,
durability and low operating forces. Compatible with
industry standard handles.
5. Steel Faceplate and Drive Rod:
The drive rod is a special thickness of 2.7mm. This provides
even greater strength and stability in use. The ‘silver’ plating
has been salt spray tested and achieves the highest Grade
4 BS EN 1670 Corrosion resistance.
6. 10mm or 14mm throw Solid Steel Shootbolts:
45o tapered and laminated steel Shootbolts provide
optimum security and weatherseal compression.
