President’s message
I believe our Lake Country Women’s Club is driven and enriched
by a philanthropic purpose, while providing our members with a
sense of satisfaction and belonging. I am excited to be part of this
club and my goals are simple: I wish to Serve Willingly, Stay
Connected, and Streamline Committee activity. I want you all to
know that I am willing to be in service to you by providing support
and guidance to you as we make a difference in our Lake Country
community through our charitable efforts. This is what I mean
when I say “Serve Willingly”. To help us Stay Connected, I will
work with Holly to keep the newsletter fresh and informative –
ensuring that it continues to keep you abreast of upcoming events
and club news.

Finally, I hope to Streamline Committee activity by encouraging each
Committee group to meet in some fashion outside of our large group
monthly meeting to plan new programs that will supplement our already
successful fundraising events. Each committee will then bring the results of their
work back to the larger group meeting for sharing, feedback and decision-making. The time and
effort you all put into planning is what makes the Committees so effervescent.
Your ongoing dedication is what keeps this club operating. I encourage each of you to continue to
provide small acts of service that lift and bless another. I am looking forward to a successful year
and thank you for your ongoing commitment to help impact the lives of others.

FALL FUN-RAISER
Mark your Calendar! Save the Date!!
Invite your Girlfriends!!!
Join us on Thursday, November 12th , for our
Fall “Fun-Raiser” Fashion Show at the Delafield
Brewhaus. Designs from CAbi and Christy’s Mainstream
Boutique will be featured in the Show. The event will
include a silent auction and a raffle.
A delicious sit down dinner will also be served.
Bring your girlfriends and enjoy a fun-filled night of fashion and shopping while at the same time
helping the Club to support its numerous charities!
Tickets are $35 if purchased by October 31st ($40 after the 31st). Please see the invitation
(attached to this newsletter and also available on our website) for additional details.
Note: Each member is asked to please donate an item for the silent auction. Items
can be brought to the October meeting, or dropped off prior to November 6th at Mary Beth Ladd’s
house (251 E. Laurel Circle, Delafield).

MEMBERSHIP
Just a reminder that applications (available for download on
our website) and dues ($40 made out to Lake Country
Women’s Club) will be collected again at our next meeting,
October 20th.
Our December Banquet has been confirmed for Tuesday,
December 15th at Zin. Cocktails will start around
5:30pm and dinner around 6:30pm.
