structure is iterative. We never stop innovation both with the

IIHMR, Delhi has been playing a germinal role in the growth of
the health sector and healthcare management education in
India. Healthcare management education is at an inflection
point today. We at IIHMR are conscious of our responsibility as
the premier Healthcare Institute of the country. Here future
healthcare leaders are groomed by following a judicious blend
of theory and practice, using highly innovative teaching
pedagogy. Our endeavor is to produce systems thinkers and
problem solvers, with all-round training. Our graduate
students responsible citizens and productive members of the
society with a positive attitude of “service-before-self”.

The emerging market economy requires special technical and
managerial skills. It also needs appropriate training and wide
exposure to the state-of-the-art management practices. Through dedicated efforts of the faculty
and students, the Institute attempts to translate this vision into action. A vibrant link with the

of the real world. During the two years at this Institute, the graduating students undergo a
metamorphosis for unfolding their potential, developing skills and stimulating intellectual
growth. Their latent potential is honed by committed and skilled faculty drawn from the
academia and industry.
We are deeply conscious of the fact that Hospitals and Health Institutions prefer professionals
having multi-skill sets and have trained our students accordingly. Accordingly, we have
blended analytical insights, quantitative abilities, and field experience into the various courses
offered at IIHMR, New Delhi. The course curricula are updated regularly based on recent
advances in the industry and students’ feedback. The student evaluation is based on a number of
criteria including classroom participation, presentations, team work, project assignment and
continuous, periodic examinations. The Institute has excellent physical and IT infrastructure
and is able to attract competent knowledge professionals for the healthcare industry. We have

ABOUT IIHMR
ABOUT PGDHM PROGRAM
OBJECTIVE
The objective of the program is to enable students to understand the concepts and techniques of modern
management and their application in hospitals and healthcare organizations. The program also enables students
to develop skills in diagnosing and solving management problems in planning, building and managing
healthcare organizations. Moreover the program helps students to develop consultancy skills in different areas of
healthcare management and use learning technologies that are responsive to diverse clients.
COURSE FRAME WORK
The institute offers a two year (full time) Post Graduate Diploma with specialization in Hospital Management,
Health Management and Healthcare IT Management. It is a flagship educational program aims on develop
trained professional managers with requisite skills to manage hospitals both in public and private sectors and

as a part of the Society for Indian Institute of Health Management Research, Jaipur. It was set up with a focus on
national and international health to cater to the growing needs of the country and the Asia-Pacific region. The
Institute undertakes education, training and research in hospital and health management. Although a young
institute, IIHMR has carved out a niche for itself through its cutting edge curriculum, infrastructure facilities and

A student will be considered to have been offered a job if his or her name appears in the list of successful
candidates declared by the hiring organization after the selection process.
The company should provide job offers to the placement cell and not to students directly. When the placement cell
receives an offer from a company for a student it would communicate the same to him/her in writing.
