For every 1 can of food donated at the Library during National Library Week, we will waive $1 worth of fines from your account. All food items will go to Rowlett Needy Children’s Fund. Library Board Meetings (10 annually) are held the second Thursday of each month except July and December. Meetings start at 7:00 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Rowlett Public Library, 3900 Main Street. Library Board meetings are open to the public. Saturday, April 16th Bring your camera into the Library to take a picture with Dewey Duck from 9:30-10:15 a.m. Finished hunting eggs? Come into the Library and make Easter crafts, play the “Bunny Ears” ring toss game, receive bunny teeth whistles, Peeps and more! Prize winners of the Easter basket and chocolate bunnies will be announced at noon. Saturday, April 16th, 10 a.m. to Noon (on Main Street) Grab your basket and hippity-hop on over to Main Street to hunt for 20,000 filled Easter eggs! Enjoy face painting, bounce houses, music, and photos with the Easter Bunny! May 2nd—May 7th Stop by the Rowlett Public Library during Children’s Book Week to pick up a coloring sheet and an entry form for a prize drawing. The winner of a Build-a-Bear will be announced Saturday, May 7th! Saturday, May 7th, 2 p.m. (at the Rowlett Community Centre) Make Mother’s Day special! Dress in your Sunday best and enjoy tea, delicious desserts, and beautiful music. There is no charge, but reservations are required.
