Michael J McCann - Principal
Profile
Before establishing himself as a world-renowned designer, Michael McCann
created, opened and operated more than 80 restaurants, bars and night-clubs
in 12 countries over his 28 year career in hospitality. In 1995 he created his
unique design studio, D REAMTIME A USTRALIA D ESIGN
Winner of the prestigious 2008 I.D.E.A. Australian Designer of the Year Award
(see below), named by the UK’s Wallpaper magazine as Sydney’s “designer du
jour” and recently selected as Indesign magazine’s ten most influential people
in the Australian design industry. Michael brings an almost unique wealth of
international hotel / resort, restaurant, bar and club design, development and
operational experience to his wide variety of trend-setting projects.
The firm has become a Design leader in the Hospitality Industry and is widely
followed by such local and international publications as Wallpaper*, Vogue,
Belle, InDesign, Inside, Urbis, Trends and Gourmet Traveller.
