Not used for C. difficile LabID Event: Purpose • To calculate proxy measures of CDI events, exposures, and healthcare acquisition, facilities may choose to monitor Laboratory-identified (LabID) CDI Events. The main proxy measures are included in a table at the end of this presentation. • Populates a smart-form that will help them submit to NHSN and comply with January 1 CMS requirements with minimal IP time. • ICHE, June 2012: Identified the population (MRSA, VRE, C. diff.) as a proxy measure for HAI that have a shorter median time to hospital readmission and increased frequency of readmission within 30 days. © 2012 CareFusion Corporation or one of its subsidiaries.
