1. All registration for the 49th National Convention will be ONLINE.
Individual sorors will be able to preregister “anyplace and anytime” on
any Web connection through a fully
secured online system.
Our National Website address is

3. Sorors must be financial for the
fiscal year 2008-2009, July 1,
2008–June 30, 2009, through a
local chapter or as a memberat-large, in order to register and
attend the National Convention.
Dues for fiscal year 20082009 are due and payable
January 1–March 31, 2008.
As a quality control measure, the National Headquarters staff will verify the financial status of registrants
before the convention packet
is mailed.
4. Sorors will need the following
information to access the secured
website:
Name (as it appears on your membership card) and Membership
Number.
5. Once you have gained access you
will need to enter the information
provided on the Checklist.
The registration fee entitles
the family member to a badge,
unlimited entry into the Exhibit
Trade Show and all public non-subscription events. The fee includes
shuttle bus service.

Tickets must be purchased at

convention. You will not be able to
log on and purchase tickets only. Tickets for all subscription
events/special activities are nonrefundable.
Tickets will be sold on-site
based on availability. Tickets
sold on-site will cost an additional $10 per ticket, per
function.
Special packages are not
available.
9. PAYMENT
Sorors may pay their registration by credit card, via our secured
Webserver online, cashiers check
(no personal checks), money order,
or wire transfer.

days to hold your reservation and

be processed until the payment has been received.
10. R EGISTRATION
CONFIRMATION
For sorors registering with a
credit card, an official confirmation
will be e-mailed within five (5) to
seven (7) business days of submission. An e-mail address must
be provided.
For sorors registering and
paying by cashier’s check, money
order, or wire transfer, an official
confirmation will be emailed within
10-14 business days, after receipt
of your payment.
The National Convention
packet, which includes your Registration Confirmation Card and
instructions for registering, will be
mailed to each financial member on or before June 30, 2008.
The barcode on the bottom of your
Registration Confirmation Card will
be scanned on site to print your
badge and tickets. The Registration
Confirmation Card must be signed
by you and given to the registrar to
receive your convention materials.
Please be sure to review the
contents of the convention packet
carefully and promptly upon
receipt. Review for correct spelling of your name and chapter
affiliation. If you find an error,
please return the entire convention
packet to the attention of Deborah
Somerville, Interim Director of
Information Systems. Also, send
an email to conventionservices@
deltasigmatheta.org, indicating
the date the convention packet was
returned and the nature of the error within the packet. A corrected
convention packet will be forwarded to you, if received and corrected
by July 7, 2008. Otherwise, your
convention packet will be available

REGISTRATION
Incomplete/incorrect registrations will not be processed and will
be returned.
12. TRANSFER OF
REGISTRATION
Convention registration transfers will ONLY
be accepted/completed/
processed on-site. Conven­
tion registration may be
transferred in full from one Delta
to another provided the transferee
is financial for the 2008-2009 fiscal
year.
In order to transfer a registration, the Delta to whom the registration is being transferred must
present the Registration Confirmation Card and a letter signed by the
soror whose fees are being used. This letter must clearly state
that the bearer has authorization
for the transfer of the convention

13.CANCELLATION POLICY
A portion of the Registration
Fees paid in advance is refundable
upon the receipt of a written notification to National Headquarters.

cancellation fee, if written notice
is received and postmarked on or

Any refund requests received

16.HOUSING
Once you have registered for
the convention you will be able to
link to the hotel bureau for housing.

Rooms have been blocked in
six hotels. Please refer to the hotel
information for more details. You must be registered for the
Convention in order to secure hotel
accommodations.

A shuttle transportation system
will be designed to operate only

walking distance of the convention

be shown each time you board the

Admittance to the Trade Show
is by badge and pass only. Admission to the Trade Show for nonregistered guests and friends is by
pass. The cost of the pass is $25.

Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz
and National have been designated
as the official car rental companies
for the 49th National Convention. (Information included.)
21.MOTORIZED SCOOTERS AND
WHEELCHAIRS
ScootAround, Inc. is providing
scooter and wheelchair rentals for
the convention. A toll number is provided for
your convenience in placing orders.
ScootAround will take advance
orders and will provide confirmations via mail, fax or email. Sorors
availing themselves of this rental
service will be solely responsible
for the scooters and wheelchairs.
An individual contract will be
required with ScootAround. Payments for rentals are to be made
directly to ScootAround. The rentals will be available for pickup on
Friday, July 25, 2008 and must
be returned Wednesday, July 31,
2008 (See page 31).

Headquarters’ hotels for the 2008
National Convention are the Rosen Plaza
Hotel, and The Peabody Orlando (coheadquarter hotel). Six hotels will house
sorors, guests, their families, vendors
and others attending the 49th National
Convention. By shuttle, The Orlando
Convention Center it is no more than ten

THE ROSEN PLAZA HOTEL
This hotel is located on International
Drive, adjacent to the Orange County
Convention Center in the heart of
Orlando’s convention and entertainment district. They pride themselves

CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations of reservations may
be processed via the web or must be
submitted in writing and forwarded by
email to: [email protected]
on or before June19, 2008. Please
keep in mind that if your reservation
is cancelled, one of the two nights will
be non-refundable. If you are not able
to honor your reservation, you may
sell your room to another soror. After
June 19, 2008, you must contact the
hotel directly within the specified time
period. All cancelled reservations will
receive a cancellation number.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
Confirmation: Your hotel acknowledgement will be generated online
upon completion of your hotel reservation and automatically sent to the email
address provided. The Confirmation
will be issued subject to verification
by the Sorority and Wyndham Jade,
the housing bureau. Your confirmation
(Web ID) number is assigned by Delta
Housing and assures that the hotel will
honor the reservation. You may receive
another confirmation from the hotel
with their unique hotel internal confirmation number.
If you have not received acknowledgement of your reservation within
seven (7) days, please contact the
Delta Housing Bureau at 888-889-6405
(US/Canada), or 972-349-7477 (International/Local), or via email delta@
wyndhamjade.com. ROOM TAX/RATES
Quoted rates do not include room
taxes of 12.5%. Hotels within walking
distance of the Orlando Convention
Center also include a surcharge of 1%. All taxes are subject to change.
