Dear Friends and Members of the First Family,
One of the most profound biblical words to describe the nature and work of the church
is a word that we often translate “fellowship.” The richness of that word has more to
do with the mutual care and support of one another in our Christian community. It is
more than simply a handshake after church, a kind gesture to another in the grocery
store, or a hearty-hello at a community function.
Biblical fellowship at its heart has to do with how well the people of God genuinely
care for one another, how we share our joys and burdens alike, how we relate to one
another during the good and bad times, how well we reconcile after we’ve hurt one
another, and yes, how we have fun together and enjoy one another’s fellowship
(Galatians 6:1-3).
This church directory is an invitation for each one of us to remember one another to
God in our prayers, to reach out to one another when one needs encouragement, to
be a supportive and caring fellowship toward one another.
This church directory is a tangible way for you to remember our partnership in the
precious sharing of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. While we are grateful for the
“99” in the Christian fold, it is a reminder there is always “1” lost sheep that we want
to find and include in our church family. Let us love one another as God loves us all in
Christ Jesus our Lord (Ephesians 4:32).
