Meissl’s half-height wind walls provide an effective partition for a terrace or guest garden.
At the push of a button, additional glass walls raise to create wall-high wind and weather protection.
For example, in combination with a giant umbrella, the open space can even transform into an area
protected on all sides, which attracts guests even in colder temperatures or when it is raining.
Complemented with lighting and radiant heaters, the open air season can be successfully extended!
In pleasant weather and to avoid buildup of heat, the windows can be lowered individually or to various
heights. In addition, every second wind wall can be designed as a revolving door. Installation takes
place on an existing terrace or separate foundation.

Thanks to a special system of profiles, the walls disappear entirely; no thresholds or frames
remain. This delightful system is highly recommended for new structures, as the space
for the retractable windows and the technology can be directly incorporated into the general
construction measures.

Depending on the situation of the location, the benefits of the retractable wind walls can
also be realized at a later point of time without costly construction measures. Thus later
installation is possible on an existing raised terrace for instance. When the weather is pleasant,
the large window panes simply slide down in front of the basement windows; when the weather
is poor, they can be raised to create effective weather protection.
In combination with a canopy, a completely protected restaurant emerges. For the proprietor or
hotelier, an additional high quality guest space is made available – at all times and in every kind
of weather.

SLIDING DOORS AND FOLDING WALLS
With the large-sized sliding doors, the wind walls can be spaciously opened.
Thus in pleasant weather a seamless transition to more open spaces and quick, barrier-free
access are ensured. The sliding doors can be installed on the inside or outside of the frame.
The foldable wind protection walls are based on the same principle. With these foldable glass
walls, it is possible to open up a barrier-free front of up to 5 meters.

Perfect weather protection or open air enjoyment: the revolving doors immediately
create large openings for various wind walls. They are particularly good for circular ground
plans and corner solutions. With a simple move, they open effortlessly and are easy to fix.
If needed, every second wind wall can be designed as a revolving door. The stable construction
plus high quality materials provide a guaranty for long-term use, even under heavy loads and
in exposed locations.

SOLUTIONS FOR PRIVATE SPACES
The layout situation can frequently create unpleasant drafts in private spaces on
balconies and terraces. Here, too, Meissl’s wind wall system is an asset and easily
provides protected and comfortable sitting areas.
FREE STANDING MOBILE WIND WALL
No construction measures are needed for mobile window walls:
the temporary anchoring takes place with a substructure with wheels and
heavy duty support feet for setup and positioning. The glass surfaces can be
designed in different shapes as lowerable or fixed installation.
FIXED WIND WALL
A great look and clear separation in one: wind walls that are installed in a fixed
manner provide protection without restricting your view. They are particularly
suitable for sunbathing or for unobtrusive organization of functional areas,
for instance in terrace environments. Different solutions for the frame base and
the glass design are possible.
NOISE PROTECTION
Fixed installed wind walls also ensure effective and transparent noise protection.
The use of special noise protection glass can also reinforce this effect. Such solutions
are especially recommended for locations close to separate access points, roads or
other traffic areas without restricting the view. If needed, colored noise protection
glass can be used in addition to limit transparency.
