Features of Aegis® HPCV Series Ball Valves
Aegis® HPCV Series high integrity ball valves feature the most advanced technology available for
isolating and controlling industries’ most hazardous process liquids and gasses. Engineered to exceed
industry’s pertinent standards and Method 21 requirements of the Clean Air Act, the HPCV valves
incorporate design and sealing technologies that are essential in assuring reliable long term performance
and environmental protection. Our in-depth knowledge of materials and industrial processes allows us
to advise our customers on the selection of the most appropriate valve for their applications.
Sizes:
1/2” – 10” ANSI 150#, 300# and 600# flanged style.
Larger sizes available on request.
Design Standards:
ASME B 16.34, ASME B 16.5, ASME B 16.10, API 607, API 598, BS 6755
Part 2, MSS SP-54, MSS SP-55 MSS SP-61and Chlorine Institute Pamphlet #6.
Flange to Flange
Dimensions:
Conform to ASME B 16.10 allowing the direct replacement of ball valves, plug
valves and gate valves. Aegis’s innovative GV Series features ASME 300#
flanged globe valve dimensions allowing direct replacement.
High Integrity:
Engineered to control fugitive emissions, the HPCV series valve features a
welded body/bonnet connection and a dynamically loaded mechanical shaft sealing
system that energizes a double set of PTFE Chevron style packing with a
strategically placed lantern ring. Bolted body/bonnet connections are also available.
Zero Leakage
Performance:
Each individual valve is tested for absolute bubble shutoff and zero stem leakage
in accordance with ASME B 16.34 and API 598 specifications.
One Piece Body
Design:
The HPCV series valve is engineered to eliminate fugitive emissions associated
with mis-aligned piping, vibration and temperature cycling. Our certified high
quality industrial grade castings and forgings exceed the minimum wall thickness
requirements specified within ASME B 16.34.
Blowout Proof Stem:
The one piece internally mounted blow out proof design is intrinsically safe.
It features a perfectly straight profile and has a polished finish to ensure the
integrity of the packing.
ISO Mounting
Flange:
An intregrally cast ISO mounting flange allows for inexpensive automation.

Tested in accordance with API 607 and BS 6755, the strategically placed tertiary
graphite seals provide a secure fire safe design.

Chlorine Prepared:
All HPCV chlorine service valves are cleaned, tested, dried and packaged in
accordance with the Chlorine Institute Pamphlet #6 specifications.
Bi-Directional and
Uni-Directional
Pressure relief associated with the entrapment of liquefied compressible gases is
achieved through either self relieving seats or a relief hole drilled in the face of
the upstream side of the ball. Uni-directional valves have a flow direction arrow
attached to the body.
Design:
Temperature Ratings: -150°F to 500°F depending on the materials selected.
Lockout Device:
Designed to meet OSHA and Plant Safety lockout requirements.
Traceability:
Each valve is assigned an individual serial numbered stainless steel tag after
successfully completing all testing requirements. This unique serial number
ensures total traceability for the life of the valve.
Positive Material
Identification:
A PMI process is performed on all critical components. Each component is
stamped allowing complete identification.
Mill/Test
Certificates:
Mill/Test certificates are available for each valve allowing total traceability of
all components. The document reports all testing results and also
identifies all materials of construction.
External Corrosion
Protection:
All carbon steel body valves are protected by a 3 part highly corrosion
resistant epoxy paint.
Paraflon Seat
Technology:
Aegis’ fully fluorinated molecular enhanced PTFE polymer is engineered to
significantly improve valve performance by offering enhanced physical properties,
improved temperature ratings and resistance to the effects of permeation.

Assurance:
Aegis' HPCV series valves are engineered and manufactured under company
committed quality assurance processes that have been audited and approved by
ISO 9001, PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) and TUV. All valves are
manufactured utilizing modern computer-aided production methods guaranteeing
