About CP Press
We are unusual in that the photography, authorship and publishing of all our
motoring titles is vested in the same person.
This has meant we have been able to photograph some very significant cars for
inclusion in our books including Jim Clark’s Lotus Cortina (550 VAR) for our Twin
Cam Lotus Cortina Book.
The prototype Jensen Interceptor is in our book on Jensen Interceptor and Sir
David Brown’s prototype Aston Martin Lagonda is in our Aston Martin DBS AM
V8 and PoW book.
In addition we also publish books on Railways, Regimental and Military History,
Travel and Exploration and Anthropology.

Aston Martin DB7 • DB9 • DBS
The role of the Aston Martin DB7 was
stated by Walter Hayes: “The DB7 was
meant to be what DB’s have always been:
a user-friendly gentleman and lady’s car
with a soft ride, but one that would hang
on like a leech, would drive very elegantly
if you wanted to take your daughter to
school, but would go like a bat out of hell
if you felt like it. We were interested in
providing the ingredient that Aston has
always provided, which is elegance and
fulfilment on the road.”
The Aston Martin DB7 Zagato and its
convertible counterpart the Aston Martin
DBAR1 are also covered.
Colin Pitt
The Aston Martin DB9 was the first car to
come out of Gaydon, and was designed
by Henrik Fisker, while the DBS was styled
by Marek Reichmen.
