Welcome to LVL’s 2016 Event Calendar • Save, Use & Enjoy!

Shared Rules & Regulations
A great deal of time and expense has gone into making Lost Valley a beautiful place for your enjoyment. In order to protect and make Lost
Valley a relaxing place, we ask that you observe the following rules and regulations.
1. Use proper parking areas, do not block roads or park on the grass.
18. No t-shirts or cut-offs are allowed in the pools or jacuzzis. Only swimsuits are allowed.
2. Obey all traffic signs and speed limits as posted.
19. No inner tubes or rafts are allowed in the pools. Fun noodles are allowed only at
the Lake Expo pool.
3. Resort Card is needed to check out equipment and to check into your reservation.
4. CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 18 YEARS MAY NOT BE LEFT UNATTENDED ON THE
RESORT. (Owners are NOT allowed to leave the Resort and leave children under 18
years alone.)
5. Pets must be leashed and are not allowed in public use areas, with the exception
of seeing eye or support dogs. Owners are to clean up after their pets. No pets
allowed on any beach area.
20. All public use buildings are NON-SMOKING (includes e-cigarettes) and NO PET AREAS.
21. Must be 16+ years of age to use the jacuzzis.
22. THIS IS YOUR RESORT, SO PLEASE PICK UP AFTER YOURSELF, YOUR ANIMALS, AND
OTHERS IF NECESSARY. YOUR ASSISTANCE IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.
23. Persons under 21 years of age must be at their site by 12 midnight.
6. No gas motors allowed on lake, only electric trolling motors. No motor bikes, mopeds
or ATVs are allowed on Resort.
24. Pictures and video may be taken while you are on the Resort and may be used
online or in print.
7. When fishing, keep only the limit and register your catch at the Boathouse or
Guard House.
25. The Resort is monitored by video surveillance and 24 hour Security Service.
8. QUIET TIME is 11:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
9. The number of vehicles allowed per site varies, do not block roads or park on grass.
10. Fires must be in fire ring and are not to be left unattended.
11. No glass on beaches, pools or dance areas.
12. Children 12 and under must have adult supervision (18+ years) when using the
Resort Facilities.
26. The possession of firearms, BB guns, slingshots, bows and arrows or any other type
of weapons on the Resort is NOT allowed. Violations will result in immediate
expulsion from the Resort.
27. NO fireworks of any kind are allowed on the Resort. Violations will result in
immediate expulsion from the Resort.
28. No refunds will be given due to Acts of God or Mother Nature (weather, electricity
goes out, etc.).
29. No climbing on waterfall.
13. DO NOT PARK vehicles on open sites.
30. Do not walk or skate on the lake ice.
14. DO NOT leave valuables out, lock them up. Locks are available at the Recreation
Office.
31. No loud music or disturbing the peace. Private music cannot be played publicly in
public areas.
15. All facilities of the club are used by club owners and guests at their own risk.
32. Resort management reserves the right to resolve issues and public safety
situations in the best interest of the Resort, Owners, Guests and the family
atmosphere of the Resort.
16. NO SKATEBOARDS, ROLLER SKATING, OR “SCOOTERS” are allowed on the Resort.
17. No food or drinks are allowed in or around the pools or spas, except in designated
areas. No glass bottles allowed.
33. For owner and guest privacy, no unauthorized drone usage of any kind.

RV Washing - RV washing permits may be purchased for a fee of $25 per day at the Reservations Office.
RV Washing Permits may be purchased at the Reservations Department. Permit is good for the day of purchase only. NO REFUNDS.
Permits can not be transferred to another owner or associate owner. Permits must be displayed in the RV window. May use hose with
nozzle attachment with squeeze type attachment or an electric power washer. The RV must be on-site to wash and you may not wash
RV’s over the holidays/holiday weekends. You may not redeem points or earn points for this permit. Violation of rules will result in a fine
of $50 that must be paid immediately and no future permits can be purchased for the owner or associate owner on the account.

Trout Tournament 7:30am-5pm at the Hidden Oaks Lake, behind the
Boathouse. $15/person to enter, limit of 5 trout. NOTE: the trout pond
may be a pay-to-fish lake after the tournament until all trout are caught. Register in person at the Rec. Office in Lake Expo starting 3-17-16 at noon
or at the Trout Pond the day of the tournament.
Easter Egg Decorating 11am at Lake Expo. Decorate plastic eggs for Easter,
$1 for 2 eggs, while supplies last. We will be decorating with markers &
paint, so please dress appropriately.
Parlor Volleyball 2pm in Jordan Courts at Lake Expo. A fun variation
on volleyball, players remain seated & play with a beach ball. Kids Prize Bingo 4pm at Lake Expo. This bingo is just for the little ones,
ages 12 & under. Parents MUST be in attendance with their children. We
will play 3 games & 1 coverall. Prizes will be awarded!

SPRING BEGINS
EASTER WEEKEND ACTIVITIES
Kids Easter Egg Hunt 11am in the yard by the Low Water Bridge. The Easter Bunny has hidden Easter Eggs, Treats, Toys & Trinkets
for the children! Children 12 yrs. & under will be divided into age
groups (please watch for signs). The Easter Bunny will be here
so Parents & Grandparents, don’t forget those cameras! Parents
can help the Easter Bunny by bringing one bag of individually
wrapped candy per child you have hunting to the Rec. Office
before 10am. Thanks!
Owners Easter Give-A-Way 5-7pm in Gentry Hall at Lake
Expo. Every Lost Valley Lake Primary Owner who presents their
Ownership card will be given an LVL souvenir PLUS you can put
your name in a drawing to WIN 1 of 10 GRAND PRIZES! Grand
Prize drawing will be held at 5pm in Gentry Hall, you MUST be
present to win. This event is for LVL Primary Owners ONLY (sorry
no Associate Owners or Reciprocal Organizations). You will be
asked to show your ownership card, so don’t forget it - you MUST
have it! Owners have the chance to win one prize per ownership
number. Teen Flashlight Hunt Teens ages 13-17 yrs. hunt Easter Eggs in the
Dark (don’t forget your flashlights) & turn them in for great prizes. Meet at 8pm at the Softball Field. We will hide 50 eggs & give
away 50 great prizes – souvenirs, prizes, cash & more!
Family Dance 7-10pm at Gentry Hall in Lake Expo. Musical
entertainer TBA in Newsletter and Web Site.

Craft Show & Flea Market* The Show runs from 10am-3pm inside
Gentry Hall at Lake Expo. Doors open at 9am for vendor set up only. Vendors are responsible for their own set up, tear down & watching
their own booth. Cost is $10 per space. We will provide one 8 ft.
table & two chairs. Make Your Own Kite 11am, in Lake Expo. Make & decorate your own
kite to fly at the Festival! $5/kite, supplies are limited, please dress
appropriately.
Kite Flying Fun 2pm at Softball Field. Kite Flying – a fun springtime
activity for the whole family! Just in-case you forgot yours, the Rec.
Office will have a limited supply of kites for sale, $5 each.
Hayride/Bonfire* $10/person, 4 yrs. & under FREE!

American Red Cross Blood Drive 10am-2pm at Lake Expo. There is always
a need for life saving blood, please take time this weekend to donate!
All those who donate will be given an appreciation gift. Muscular Dystrophy Association Raffle We will have Gift Baskets full with
all sorts of goodies to raffle off for MDA. All proceeds will be given to the
MDA. If you would like to donate an entire basket for the raffle or items to
go into a basket, please have them to the Rec. Department by Thursday,
10am. Raffle winners will be announced on Sunday at 3pm in Gentry Hall. MDA Horseshoe Tournament Players must be 16+ yrs. for all regular
divisions, Juniors Division 15 yrs. & under. $5/person/division, see Activity

so reserve your pumpkins early. Paranormal Presentation These ghost hunters will be on the park discussing
paranormal activity, humanistic values, scientific techniques & equipment used in
the investigation of haunted houses & other haunted & un-dead topics. Bring your
questions – a great way to kick off the Halloween season. Cost is only $5/person, make
your reservations today!
Howl-O-Ween Dog Park Party Our dogs like Halloween too! 1pm at the Dog Park
by Stables. We will award prizes in a variety of categories! Please only bring social,
well-behaved dogs.

POW-MIA Ceremony 5pm in Gentry Hall at Lake Expo. This ceremony is a tribute
to service men & women from all wars. It is filled with many meaningful symbols. All are invited to be a part of this very special ceremony. Veteran’s Dinner Dinner will follow the POW-MIA Ceremony in Gentry Hall at Lake
Expo at 5:30pm. A special dinner has been prepared for our Veterans & their families.
We especially invite our Veterans & their families, in addition, anyone wishing to show
support & Thanks for our Veterans is welcome to attend. Veterans will dine

9pm-1am, in Gentry Hall at Lake Expo. Ring in 2017 with your family at Lost Valley! Party includes, soda by the glass, snacks (while supplies last), party favors, hats, noise makers,
LVL New Year’s Eve souvenir & dance! Party & Dance music will be provided, entertainer TBA.
Pricing for the New Year’s Eve Family Party is as follows: $13/ person ages 13+ yrs.,
$7/person, youth ages 5-12 yrs. & children 4 yrs. & under are FREE!
KIDS SOCIAL for children ages 6-12 yrs. (children MUST be potty trained), games, snacks, drinks,
stories, movies, activities & more! Drop off anytime 9pm or after, pick up MUST be ABSOLUTELY NO
LATER THAN 1am. Cost is $15/child for the entire evening or any portion of the evening. A late fee
of $10 per child for any portion of 10 minutes & every 10 minutes after 1 am will be charged. Space

reservations are: 1 rental and 1 site or 2 sites and no rentals. Owners who use rental units may have 1
weekend reservation and 1 through the week in advance. Owners are only allowed 1 weekend reservation
in advance.
◆ On major holidays you may have one advance reservation on the books. For second reservation you must
call the day before your check in date to book. Pending availability.
◆ An Owner may only stay on the Resort for 21 consecutive days in a 30 day period.
◆ A 21 day stay will require 2 reservations. They will be split 14 days and 7 days. A 21 day reservation is
considered 2 reservations.
◆ Specific sites and units may be requested but not guaranteed.
◆ 48 hours notice of cancellation is required on all reservations. Cancellation is required even within 36 hours.
Failure of notice will result in a charge for 1 night rental fee and $10 for sites. If no contact is made by
11:00 a.m. the following day, your reservations will be released to the next interested owner. ALL
RESERVATIONS MUST BE CANCELLED WITH THE RESERVATION OFFICE.
◆ All Owners are responsible to leave the grounds and accommodations of the Resort clean.
◆ Keys must be turned into Reservations by 11:00 a.m. Unapproved late check outs will be assessed a 1/2
day rental fee.
◆ All reservations must be made by the Owner.
◆ As of September 1, 2010, the Board has deemed it possible to set a one night reservation two days prior
to check in (excluding holidays).

◆ Free weeks, when used on holidays and high volume weekends (Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor

◆ Your free week may be split into 3 nights then 4 nights or 4 nights then 3 nights, 5 nights then 2
nights, 2 nights then 5 nights. There is cost to split the week and must be paid when checking into
your first split. The cost is the current price of the unit you are renting. Ex. $65 villa; $50 condo;
$30 RV. When you split your free week that will count as an advance reservation. The free week is
good from January 1st to December 31st every year; and may not be carried over.

The Recreation Department is the center of activities for the Resort. At the Recreation
Office you can check out sports equipment, games, make all reservations for special
events, dinners, shows, etc., reserve movies and make party requests (see pages 42 and
43).
Equipment Check Out and Usage - A Lost Valley Lake Smart Card is required to check out
equipment. The I.D. presented at the time of check out MUST match the person making
the request, i.e. you cannot present someone else’s I.D. You MUST be 13 years of age or
older to check out equipment. For your protection, persons found using equipment/
facilities in any way other than for what they are designed may be asked to stop at the
discretion of the Resort staff. Persons found abusing equipment/facilities will be held
responsible and asked to leave.
Adult Supervision - Children 12 years and younger MUST be accompanied by an adult
18 years and older in all Resort facilities. Children under 18 years MAY NOT be left
unattended on the Resort. Owners are NOT allowed to leave the Resort and leave
children under 18 years alone.

Event Reservations - Event reservation MUST be made on or before the deadline
(if applicable). Some events will require 100% of the payment be received before the
reservation can be made. No reservation/sign up will be held or guaranteed unless 100% of
payment is received. Due to advance ordering for special events, some events will require
an additional $5 per person fee if signed up after the deadline (if space is available).
Cancellation of Event Reservations - If event reservations are cancelled AFTER the
deadline, no refunds are given. If event reservations are cancelled prior to ordering 50%
of ticket price will be refunded. Refunds must be claimed/collected within 48 hours of

Church Services - A nondenominational church service is held Sunday mornings at 9:30
a.m. Services are lead by owner volunteers. If there is no volunteer available, a televised
or taped service is played.
Fort Wilderness - Large T.V. with satellite, Wifi, books for borrowing, seating, bathhouse,
and laundry. Fort Wilderness is available for private event rental, contact Recreation
Office for details. This facility is available for private rental (see page 42 and 43).
Harry’s Hideout Arcade - Open daily. Coin operated games. Change machine available. Hollywood Fitness, Weight Room - You must be 16 years or older to be in the Weight
Room. Weight pins and treadmill key are available for check out with your Lost Valley ID
at the Recreation Office.
Pirate’s Cove Miniature Golf - The cost is $1.00 per person, per hour. Check out putter
and golf balls at the Activities Office. Black Light Mini Golf is offered as a special event
and is staffed. See Activity Sheet for pricing and details. Pool Side Club, Adult Lounge - 21+ years of age only, satellite TV, WiFi, comfy furniture,
tables & seating for playing games, a nice gathering place for adults.
Jordan Courts Gym - standard size volleyball and basketball courts. Equipment may be
checked out with LVL ID in the Rec. Office. Chaplin Theater - Daily movies can be requested by owners to be shown in Theater. LVL
has a selection of over 200 movies to choose from. Be courteous to others, no running
in or out of the theater during movie times. Observe the rules posted outside of the
theater, those found not following these rules will be asked to leave the theater area.
All Rated “R” movies are to be requested by those 17 and over only. Rated “R” movies

For massage services please arrive 15 minutes early to your appointment
to complete needed paperwork. If you arrive late for your appointment,
time/service may be reduced to maintain appointment schedule for
other clients with appointments. All service fees will apply.
Cancellation Policy – no less than a 24 hour cancellation notice is required.
In the case of no call/no show or a late cancellation a $20 fee will apply.
Areas may close due to set up and clean up of special events. See Activity Sheet for details.

Private Function / Party Policy
The following information will be required when making a request for a private function at Lost Valley Lake Resort. Once your party
request has been approved a contract will be mailed and must be returned within 21 days.
Please have the following information ready when calling to request a party:

Requests for parts areas are taken on a first come first serve basis, starting on January 1st by calling the Recreation Office at 573-764-3656.*
Each ownership number is allowed two (2) parties per year. The request MUST be made by the PRIMARY OWNER (who is in good standing,
i.e., loan current, maintenance fees and storage fees paid, etc.) and the PRIMARY OWNER MUST BE ON PROPERTY BEFORE ANY GUEST
WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE RESORT AND THEY MUST STAY ON PROPERTY THROUGHOUT THE PARTY. ONLY guests whose names appear on
the on the guest list will be allowed on property, which means the Guest List MUST be provided along with contract and all fees. Guest Lists
should be typed/printed and alphabetized. Rental areas are in high demand, especially in the peak months. It is imperative that once you
receive your contract in the mail, you return the contract, signed along with fees, deposit and guest list within 21 days or the party will be
considered cancelled and become available for others to rent. NO PARTY IS GUARANTEED UNTIL WE HAVE RECEIVED A SIGNED CONTRACT,
GUEST LIST AND THE PROPER FEES.
Cancellation Policy: Parties cancelled 120 days or more prior to party date will be refunded 100% of both rental fees and deposits. Parties cancelled less than 120 days prior to party date will be refunded 100% of the rental fee, however the deposit will be forfeited.
Refunds must be claimed/collected within 48 hours of cancellation.
Inclement Weather Policy: Options in the case of inclement weather are: 1) total loss due to inclement weather Renter may be
refunded 100% of the Rental Fee & Deposit. 2) renter may choose an alternate open date for the same location; all fees would be
applied to the new date. 3) the party may be moved to an indoor location, if a room is available and the Renter would be responsible
for any additional Rental Fees & Deposits.
Insurance: Any individual, group, company, organization, etc. bringing non-family/friends guests onto the park, MUST have a copy of
insurance policy naming Lost Valley Lake Resort as additionally insured for the duration of their stay on the park.
Lost Valley Lake Resort and Staff are not responsible for left, lost, stolen or damaged personal property. The LVL Owner/Renter assumes
complete responsibility for party guests including conduct & injury etc. and agrees to hold harmless Lost Valley Lake Resort’s Owners,
Staff, Mid-America Developers and Staff for any and all accidents that could occur on the park. The LVL Owner/Renter assumes complete
responsibility for any and all licenses or permits needed for the function and activities they are holding in the rented area. Save the Date: If a request is made prior to January 1st of the current year, a “Save the Date” fee of $100 will apply along with the
signing of a “Save the Date” agreement. This will hold the requested date and location prior to Jan. 1st. Then after January 1st, a formal
contract will be agreed upon and mailed at which time all fees and deposits will be due. The $100 “Save the Date” fee will be applied
to the final rental amount. The “Save the Date” fee of $100 is nonrefundable. If a new date/location is available and chosen, the fee
will then be applied to the new date/location.

• Parties, meetings, family gatherings, weddings etc. may be customized to fit your needs! For example, additional seating,

LVL Party Contract Options & Policies
Primary Owner, the responsible party MUST be on Resort Property before any
party guest is allowed on the park and must remain on the Resort at all times while
guests are on property.
Any Owner bringing an organized group (people other than family and close
friends), such as Boy/Girl Scouts, Churches, Schools, Businesses, Clubs, etc. MUST
provide Lost Valley with a copy of their insurance policy listing Lost Valley Lake
Resort as additionally insured for the duration of the party. All parties are subject to availability and impact on the Resort and MUST receive
management approval prior to date of the party. All Parties MUST have a contract,
Guest List, fees paid & insurance (where applicable) on file prior to the date of the
party.
Types of Parties
Room or Facility Rental Contract: Rental fee covers a designated room, pavilion
or area on the park that is reserved for you and your guests to use privately plus
all guests are allowed to use all Resort facilities, within normal usage rules. Owner
must be in attendance with guests at all time (knowledge of resort, rules, ID card,
etc). This type of contract allows an owner to bring more people on the park than
their normal guest limits allow, use park facilities and reserves an area privately. Rooms/areas are individually priced. Contact Rec. Office at 573-764-3656.
Overnight Unit Rental Contract: This type of contract allows owners to bring more
people on the park than their normal guest limits allow, use Resort facilities and
reserve overnight rental units. Owners in good standing wanting to have more than
their normal guest limits (2 individual people or 2 guest families, mother, father,
children under the age of 21 still living in the home) on the park, may be granted
an Overnight Unit Rental Contract. Owners are allowed their 1 unit plus 2 more
for their 2 guest families (at the normal rate). All additional accommodations for
guests will cost a guest price of the normal unit rental plus $10 per unit per night
for the duration of their stay. Guests are then allowed to use all Resort facilities
within normal usage rules. Owners MUST be in attendance with their guests at
all times (knowledge of the Resort, rules, ID card, etc.) and is held responsible
for their guests. The various types of units are priced individually. Party approval
including quantity of guests and units is pending Management approval. Contact

One-Day Use Only Contract: $2 per person/name on guest list, ages 4 years & up,
over normal guest limit. No Refunds. Babies 3 years and under are free. Guests
are allowed to use all Resort facilities, within normal usage rules. Owner must
be in attendance with guests at all time (knowledge of Resort, rules, ID card, etc). This type of contract allows an owner to bring more people on the park than their

PROPER FEES. If a party request is made less than 21 days prior to the event
date, signed contract, guest list and all fees will be due immediately upon receipt.
GUESTS LISTS MUST be received no less than 7 days prior to the event date. If a
guest arrives at the Guard House who is not on the Guest List, they will not be
allowed on the park until the Owner is located and permission granted for the
Guest to be on the park. If this occurs a $5 per guest fee will be applied and must
be paid prior to granting Resort access.

Emergency Messages - Security will deliver messages to your unit when necessary.
Reporting Peace Disturbances - Any problems, complaints or injuries should be
directed to the Guard House immediately.
First Aid Station - First aid is available at the Guard House or Recreation Office.
Fish Check-In - Check your catch here when the Boathouse is not open. Bait
available for sale.
Security Patrols - Security not only manages the entrance and exit to the park,
but they also regularly patrol the entire Resort. These services are provided to
maintain a safe environment for our guests and to protect your investment.
Storm Siren - Tornado Warning siren will sound continuously for 3 minutes.
Severe Thunder Storm Warning siren will sound continuously for 1 minute. Security Guards will make every attempt to notify owners in advance of any
predicted severe weather conditions by making announcements in buildings as
well as notify owners at sites.
Associate owners are allowed one (1) guest family OR 2 guests. All others will be
turned away unless other party arrangements are made in advance.
No swimming in the lake after dark. No swimming in Riata Lake.
The possession of firearms, BB guns, slingshots, or any other type of weapons
on the Resort is NOT allowed. Violations will result in immediate expulsion from
the Resort.
NO fireworks of any kind are allowed on the Resort. Violations will result in
immediate expulsion from the Resort.
No motorcycles, motor scooters, MOPEDS, ATVs, or golf carts to be driven on the
Resort. Motorized handicapped wheelchairs ARE allowed.

Emergency telephones are located at the following places at Lost Valley:

3. Aquatics Center
4. Fort Wilderness, Laundry Area
If you need “911” service, you must dial the Guardhouse (#281 or #3281), follow
the instructions posted on the phone and the guard will place the “911” call.
Security will call “911” and direct the emergency personnel.
Emergency contact number on the Resort for outside calls is 1 (800) 865-2100
and is answered 24 hours a day.
