A Halloween Prayer
Grand Knight’s Message:
for the Eve of all Saints,
All Hallows Eve
Brothers,
Father
We thank You
for Your many blessings,
in particular for
all the holy men and women
we celebrate on All Saints Day.
Help us to contemplate
their holiness
on this eve of that holiday.
And may Your protection
be upon all those
involved in Halloween festivities
during this night.
We pray in Jesus name.
Amen
David Bennett
During our last General Meeting we discussed new candidate
sponsorship. Many of you have been contacted by me because a new
candidate mentioned your name as a sponsor. Sponsorship is a blessing
and I believe it fulfills a duty we have to strengthen our Parish
Community and our Council as a whole.
As you have heard me say in the past, I am not concerned with
the numbers game regarding membership. Awards are great and they are
fun to receive, but they are simply things and honestly how many table
clothes does a Council need?
Sponsorship is key because you will help yourBrother become a
better Catholic as he makes his way through the Degrees. You will
remind him of the Commandments, the Sacraments, and the Precepts of
the Church. While reminding him you will remember yourself why it is
a blessing to be a Catholic Gentleman. While you guide him through the
Degrees you will remind yourself why it is a blessing to be a Knight.
Our Worthy Chaplin, Father Sy, always reminds us that his job is
to make sure we get to heaven. That is a heavy load for one man, and us
Knights can really help with his goal by guiding a Catholic Man to
Knighthood.
With no doubt in my voice, I am a better Catholic Man because
of our Council and I know the same is for you too, Brothers. Taking
time to focus on my faith has made the difficulties of this world much
easier in my life. There are Catholic Men out there who are struggling
with the difficulties of this world and we can help them by giving them
the opportunity to serve and become more focused . . . All that our faith
offers. We can give them Fraternity and the knowledge that they will
always have a brother they can call on.
For those who yet have a man to sponsor, you know of a man you
can hand a Form 100 to. Whether he thinks he needs it or not, you will
better the life of a fellow Catholic Man by sponsoring him through
Knighthood. And maybe they will send us another table cloth, but more
importantly we will all become better Catholic Gentlemen and be better
prepared for things after this world.
Vivat Jesus!

Happy
Birthday
24 Hour Adoration
October, Where has the year gone
The children are back in school
And looking forward to Halloween.
Should our Children celebrate Halloween?
Actually it is a 1,300 year old Celebration
Of the Catholic Church All Hallows Eve.
So let the Little ones enjoy themselves.
In the mean time, we need to take time out of our
Busy schedules to spend some time with Our Lord.
The Best way is to attend our Parish 24 Hour Adoration
Let God know just how thankful you are that you
Live in our great country and your children
Are able to enjoy all that it offers us.

From our Insurance Agent
A FOUNDING NOTION - PROTECTING THE BREADWINNER’S INCOME
Brothers:
While Jobs may be safer in 2016, accidents, injuries, and illnesses that can impact your ability to
work still happen. Most, in fact, do not happen on the jobsite or place of employment. Did you know that a
2011 study revealed that more than 95 percent of the long term disability claims on file were not work
related?
The Knights have always sought to protect members’ families from the ―loss‖ of a breadwinner.
I’m sure you all know about Father McGivney’s vision for our insurance program. But you may not know
that Father McGivney also wanted to find a way to help members who couldn’t work because of an illness.
After all, the ―loss‖ of the breadwinner does not have to mean that person's death; it can also mean the loss
of the breadwinner’s income.
Consider that loss for a moment. How would your family fare if a source of income suddenly
stopped: Could a dual-income family manage on one income? What about young families with a working
father and a mother who cares for the children? What if his income halted due to an accident or illness?
I’ve heard some people say they have coverage at work, but too many aren’t sure what this coverage
entails, how much income it would provide or for how long. Having this protection counts for something,
certainly, but it isn’t ―yours‖; it’s provided by the company for which you work at their discretion. It could
be eliminated tomorrow.
That’s where a personally-owned disability income insurance product, like Income Armor, comes
into play. It can offer valuable income replacement in the event of an injury or illness. If you have a job,
you must know about this coverage.
