CBC’s 25th Annual
General Meeting

The Club’s 25th Annual General Meeting
was held on Sunday, 30 June 2013 at the
CAK Hall. The meeting was attended by
24 members.
Club Chairman, Mr Wilson Chua opened
the meeting with a short and light hearted
address before moving on with the rest of
the meeting agenda.
The meeting ratified the appointment of
McMillan Woods Global as the auditors for
the financial year ended 31 March 2013 as
the appointed auditors could not perform
the audit due to the demise of their senior
partner. McMillan Woods Global was
approved by the meeting to be the auditors
for the next financial year. The Annual Report
and Financial Statements of the Club for the
year ended 31 March 2013 together with the
Auditor’s report were also approved with
no questions raised. Under AOB, Mr Henry
Phua’s letter was addressed and attended to.
The Chairman, Mr Wilson Chua then
shared with the members present, the
latest development on the Club’s efforts to
secure the renewal of the land lease. This
matter was not tabled as an agenda item
because the receipt of a letter that affected
the development was received only after
the notice of meeting for the AGM had
gone out. The Chairman announced to the
meeting that the party with whom we have
had serious discussions with over the last few
years has advised that they will not be able
to undertake the task of heading the lease
for the Club. The Management Committee
will continue to work on other avenues. A
few questions followed and answers were
provided by the Committee.
The Chairman closed the meeting at 4.40pm
thanking the members for their presence.
