of the South African live event production industry
since 1997 and represents the joint experience and
knowledge of the top production personnel
in South Africa.
We specialise in live event production and are able to
offer an unparalleled service to the concert, sporting,
entertainment, exhibition & corporate industries.

Venue Layout and
Seating Plans
We will design and produce all venue
layout and seating plans for each event.
When designing site plans we take into
account all promoter, artist, sponsors and
audience requirements whilst also
ensuring compliance with both
international safety regulations and venue
specific requirements.
Set and Design
We pride ourselves on producing dynamic and innovative sets and venue
layouts and our creative team is constantly developing new structures and
designs that add enormously to the overall experience for the audience.
Structures
Our innovative stage designs will enable you to create a unique and exciting
look for your audiences combining impact with set and design.
All structures are signed off by a qualified structural engineer to ensure safety
is kept to the highest of standards at all times.
Audio
Sound quality is of paramount importance to any successful event and as such we
always look to provide the very best in audio equipment and personnel. Our aims
are to accommodate artist riders as far as possible whilst meeting venue specific
audio designs and requirements.
As they say, nobody goes home humming the lights.
Lighting
Lighting design is an integral part of any show and the effective use of lighting
enhances the performance for the audience and adds to sponsor association. We
have created a wide variety of different lighting effects that have been applied to
venue lighting, stage lighting, creative designs and brand enhancement.
Audio Visual
Good quality audio visual equipment is now a key component for any event.
Aside from the obvious benefits to the audience (many of whom will watch the
entire event in this manner) AV equipment is also an excellent medium for
maximising brand awareness and sponsor association.
Special Effects
Special effects can act simply as enhancements to an event or can indeed form
the basis for an entire show. Over the years we have utilised a wide variety of
effects ranging from lasers and water-screens to full scale pyrotechnic
productions.
Logistics
Event logistics is a time consuming and often frustrating area of event
management that, over the years, we have managed to “perfect.”
We are able to manage the following for you:
•All equipment transportation and storage (both local and international)
•All site specific lifting and transport equipment
•Personnel transportation and accommodation requirements
•Artist transportation and accommodation
•Our production managers are also able to assist your artists with the design and
scheduling of their leisure time prior to and after an event
The VIP Experience
The manner in which sponsors, dignitaries and other VIPs are treated is of
utmost importance and we are well aware that the event experience for
sponsors and dignitaries in particular, can often affect future involvement and
patronage. Bearing this in mind, Mushroom always aims to provide the best
VIP experience possible (within budget of course).
Stretch Tents
Mushroom stretch tents provide a fast, versatile and visually striking alternative to
conventional venues. Our stretch tents were inspired by the tents used by the
nomadic desert dwellers of North Africa and like the tents of the Sahara they can
be set up just about anywhere and are suitable for any type of event.
The stressed membrane tents are fully waterproofed and flame retardant and have passed
independent lab tests

Décor and Furniture
Interior design is a crucial ingredient in the creation of the desired ambience and
vibe. We have wide range of furniture and accessories that can be combined in a
multitude of different ways to create the perfect environment for your event.
Draping and stretch sets are available on free standing frames in various colours.
Centre pieces and backdrops can be manufactured to clients specifications.
We also have a variety of different flooring options available

Backstage/Dressing
Rooms/Hospitality/Catering
Our production assistants will handle any and all of your backstage
requirements. They will ensure that the needs of the artists, sponsors, VIPs and
media are catered to efficiently and effectively.
We have a wide range of furniture and décor supplies and can transform an
open shell into international standard dressing rooms or VIP Lounges.
We have a specialised décor consultant who can offer advise and draft up a
variety of layouts and ideas for you to choose from.
Logistical Deliverables
•
Travel
•
All flights, clearances, customs requirements and visas will be arranged by our local
support team. Schedules will be provided for all flights, transfers and border
crossings.
•
Ground Transport
•
All ground transport will be arranged well in advance. The production manager for
each team will have the necessary contact details and resources available to them for
ad hoc requirements. Contingency plans will be in place.
•
Accommodation
•
Hotel evaluations will take place during the pre-event recce. Ideally an
accommodation and transport manager would travel ahead of each of the production
teams to ensure that all the necessary arrangements have been made.
•
Talent
•
The production managers, safety and security manager and the accommodation and
transport manager will handle all talent requirements.
•
Venue
•
Mushroom will handle all of the venue and production requirements for events.
•
VIP Services
•
All VIP services will be co-ordinated by the production managers. Information
regarding the level of VIP expected at each event will need to be provided as far
in advance as possible in order to ensure that the necessary safety and security
protocols are observed.
•
Site
•
Site managers, technical crew and labour will be sourced, as far as possible, from
local production companies. Where this is not feasible crew will be included in the
touring party.
•
Security
•
The safety and security manager accompanying each production team will handle
all security requirements.
•
Safety and Disaster Management
•
An Event Safety Plan will be provided for each event. The safety and
security managers will liaise with the relevant local authorities.
The South African based support team along with the accommodation and
transport manager will provide 24hr support for all accommodation and travel
requirements.
•
Media
•
Accreditation and technical requirements for media personnel will be managed by
the production teams.
