OUR ITINERARIES
2
Italy by bike will be a real surprise for you: we are firmly
persuaded, on the base of our personal experience, that
cycling is the best way to discover what this beatiful land
has to offer.
Let’s start with Piedmont, our region, the one we know
better: “Magic charm of Turin”, “Along the Po river”,
“Piedmont” and “Cuneo, flavours and colours”are pleasant
itineraries almost always surrounded by the magnificent
sight of Alps along the routes marked by the Province of Turin (“Ciclostrade”), following the traces
of the royal dynasty who made the history of Italy:
Savoia. If you prefer something more difficult,
you can choose the beautiful hills of Langhe and
Monferrato, up and down among some of the most
famous vineyards of Italy, producing excellent wines like
B ar o l o, B a r b e ra , D o lcett o. O t he r e x t ra o rd i n a r y
experiences are the tours “Coming to Venezia”, from the
Alps in Trentino to the Adriatic Sea, and “Around Siena”,
a full immersion in the wonderful landscapes of Tuscany,
and Via Appia, from Rome to Bari. If you like the sea,
don’t miss the mediterranean atmosphere and the
warmth of Puglia or Liguria and its Riviera dei Fiori.
Unforgettable also the experience of “Along the Po river”
from Pavia to Ferrara and “Wines of Franciacorta”. Last
but not least, the Sicily, with the sun every year. Anything
you are going to choose, we wish you a very nice cycling
trip!

Tasty Piedmont
Piedmont is a real paradise for gourmets. Prestigious white wines,

Piedmont is elegance and style. The best example is the chef town ,
Turin, first capital of Italy 150 years ago, where the influence of the
french style is very evident, that’s why Turin is called “little Paris”.

Surprising Turin
Piedmont
Turin is a former industrial city which now, after the Winter Games
2006, reveals itself as a cultural city. The visit to the Reggia of
Venaria, which was used as a model for the one of Versailles, recently
renewed, is the main focus of this journey. But also the “Magical
Turin”, a nightly journey which will lead us to discover a different
face of the city, both charming and mysterious; Turin, together with
London and Prague, is indeed part of a magical triangle.
The cycling paths runs along the four city rivers; into the parks;
under the large boulevards, which are very similar to those of Paris;
the park of Valentino with its castle and the medieval village and
the castle of Moncalieri, which is part of the Unesco together with
the Royal Residences of Savoia, formers kings of Italy. Much more
than this awaits you during these marvellous cycling days. It’s
possible also to do only a guided visit of the Unusual Turin.

Langhe
The river Po & Delta
from Ferrara to Ravenna
The third itinerary along the Po starts from Ferrara. In the history
of this town the water has a huge importance, the extraordinary
ramparts surrounding the town, the famous “addizione erculea”,
spendid example of Reinassance city planning. In the following
days you will find the peculiar habitat of the delta of the river
Po, among the typical “casoni” (fishing houses), the ponds
crowded with herons and other aquatic birds, the old fishing boats;
in front of you, the charming sight of the lagoon. After two nights
spent in ancient Italian “villas”, in an magical atmosphere, in the
last two days you are going to cycle near the open sea through
the extraordinary pine woods around Ravenna where we
recommend to visit the world famous Byzantine Mosaics.
Piedmont
The relax tour stay only in the Langhe, spectacular vineyards,
changing horizons marked by profiles of towers, castles, small
churches and ancient villages, together with a great gastronomic
tradition, which makes these hills a treasure of flavors.

The pilgrims route
To run trough by bike one of the ways followed by the pilgrims
toward Rome looking for the traces of ancient times: this is what
wait those who will chose this journey rich of surprises and various
and mutable landscapes; from the superb circle of the Alps which
surround Aosta, elegant and noble city rich of Romans ruins, to
the hills and morainics lakes in the zone of Ivrea with its Serra,
unique phenomenon in Italy, from the rice fields of Vercelli,
peopled with birds, to the gently
plains of Lomellina where stands
Vigevano with its splendid square,
from the fluvial ambient of Ticino
Park, for who loves nature, to come
in the end to Pavia, with its
Chartreuse plunged in the green
land of Lombardy.
Lakes of Lombardy
Lombardia
This itinerary for tourist cycling runs from east to west mainly in
the hilly areas south of the big Alpine lakes in the Lombard region.
The first part, going along the Mincio River, coincides with the
Cycling Route del Sole and with Eurovelo 7. In Como it crosses
La Via dei Pellegrini, that is, Eurovelo 5. Being well connected
to the main international tourist cycling routes, the beautiful nature of the areas and the rich artistic sights make this route
inviting. Cycling tourists will generally find little traffic on these
roads with some sections where cars are not allowed
