Appearing on the Grandstand Stage
J. Cole debuted in 2007 with his mixtape The Come Up. He followed this with a second mixtape The Warm
Up (2009), and shined on "A Star Is Born" from Jay-Z's album The Blueprint 3. A fervent fan base – of boys
and girls, men and women – were with him. It's for them that Cole has since 2013 conducted an annual
tour called "Dollar And A Dream" where fans willing paying one buck
are treated to tracks from his early work. That's payback.
In 2015, J. Cole won Album of the Year at the BET Hip Hop Awards and
Top Rap Album at the Billboard Music Awards. He was also a nominee
for Best Rap Album at the 58th Grammy Awards and has received many
additional accolades for his work.

A1A was born in 1991 when Lead Vocalist and Guitarist, Jeff Pike asked Atlanta Parrot Head Club Founder,
Scott Nickerson to join him in his already successful one man tribute to Jimmy Buffett. In 1992, the band
won a Jimmy Buffett Sound Alike Contest for Margaritaville Records and the A1A ball started rolling - a ball that is still rolling 25
years later.
A1A performs as a seven-piece band, complete with audio and
light production, bringing to life a colorful and energetic family
friendly Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show. A1A Beachwrecked Pirates
will boost the Margaritaville atmosphere at the concert.

Stu Cook and Doug “Cosmo” may not have intended it, but their band Creedence Clearwater Revisited has taken on a startling life of its own. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame rhythm section
(bass and drums respectively) from the legendary group
Creedence Clearwater Revival launched the Creedence Clearwater Revisited project in 1995 to once again perform live
Creedence Clearwater Revival hits - touchstones of a generation.
Though the pair initially only planned to play private parties,
Creedence Clearwater Revisited now performs up to 100 shows a
year and released the album “Recollection.”

While rock band Smash Mouth formed in 1994, they haven’t slowed down in
providing partying music across generations. Their first major label debut
“Fush Yu Mang” went more than double platinum, followed by their album
Astrolounge, that went quadruple platinum in status. That album had hits “AllStar,” “Then the Morning Comes,” and “Cant’ Get Enough Of You Baby.” Smash
Mouth has even provided the musical heart of the soundtrack for “Shrek.”

The Washington State Fair Rodeo, presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts, is an important step in helping take the
top rodeo athletes to the Finals in Las Vegas at the end of the year. The top 24 competitors vie for their part
of the prize winnings, and their performances guarantee edge-of-your-seat action. The PRCA athletes are
giving the fans a rodeo that they won’t soon forget. The Dancing in the Dirt party continues after the concert in the Bucking Shoot Saloon in the rodeo arena for all rodeo and concert ticket holders.
Husband and wife duo Keifer and Shawna Thompson started as solo acts, until they sang backing vocals in
2007 on Ty Herndon’s Right About Now. The rest, they say, is history. In 2012 the duo was honored to receive top honors as the “Vocal Duo of the Year” by ACM and CMA. In 2013 ACM awarded them “Vocal Duo
of the Year” again. They have three No. 1 hits to their name, seven mainstream industry awards, and over
25 award nominations.

includes equestrian drill teams, draft horse hitches, military marching bands, great musical

Born and raised in Perryville, Missouri, Chris Janson knew exactly what he wanted upon high school graduation, to head to Nashville. The guitarist / harmonica player also had a gift of songwriting. His first big success
was co-writing Tim McGraw’s 2012 hit, “Truck Yeah.” He’s had his songs recorded by artists like Hank Williams, Jr., Joe Nichols, and Randy Houser. The Academy of Country Music recently announced their 2016
nominees, and Chris Janson has been nominated for “New Male,” and his song “Buy Me a Boat” was nominated for “Single.”

Washington State Fair Rodeo Finals
With PRCA’s National Finals Rodeo around the corner, the top rodeo athletes are working harder than ever
to complete their season on a high note. The Washington State Fair Rodeo, presented by O’Reilly Auto
Parts, is an important step in helping take them to the Finals in Las Vegas at the end of the year.
The top 24 competitors in each event will be vying for their part of the prize winnings, and their performances guarantee edge-of-your-seat action. The PRCA athletes are giving the fans a rodeo that they won’t
soon forget.
The Washington State Fair Rodeo is one of the Top 5 rodeos in the country. This is the 83rd rodeo held in
Puyallup during the Fair, bringing a fine-tuned performance for rodeo fans and first timers alike.

Folk music fans can check out can check out singer John Dunnigan on Showplace Stage
during one of his three daily performances, starting at 11 a.m.
Australian-American Christian pop duo, for King & Country were selected Contemporary Christian Artist of
the Year in the 2015 GMA Dove Awards, as well as winning two Grammy Awards the same year. Hits “Run
Wild” and “Fix My Eyes” are the latest hits on their album, Run Wild. Live Free. Love
Strong.
Named after a British battle cry, for King & Country has been called “Australia’s answer to Coldplay” by American Songwriter. Joel and Luke Smallbone were born in
Sydney, and moved to Nashville in 1991. Their father was a music promoter, and
took his children to work with him as they grew up. It is no wonder that they caught
the music bug. Their sister, Christian recording artist and speaker Rebecca St. James
also followed suit.

Feel the beat with Street Beat Percussion Parkour on the Fountain Stage—Daily!
DNCE frontman Joe Jonas pulled the best of the best together to form DNCE. Formed in the summer of
2015, DNCE, which also features guitarist JinJoo Lee, bassist/keyboardist Cole
Whittle, and drummer Jack Lawless, was born from Jonas’s long-brewing plan
to launch an offbeat pop project inspired by the melodic R&B of Earth, Wind
& Fire and Hall & Oates. Almost as soon as they started playing together,
DNCE had a palpable chemistry and easy camaraderie that they hope to carry
over into their audience.

Larry Jones will share his singing, comedy and impressionist skills with fans on Aqua Rec’s
Showplace Stage
Nine-time Grammy nominee, hit-making singer and songwriter Charlie Wilson has brought R&B to new
heights. His sixth solo album in January featured hit single, “Goodnight Kisses,”
already a top ten single, bringing his grand total of 18 hits, which includes eight

Country superstar Alan Jackson’s KEEPIN’ IT COUNTRY TOUR finds the country

Grab a selfie when you see Tubbs, the blue duck as he waddles around the Fair
Celebrate Fiestas Patrias in style this year with a concert featuring Voz de Mando, Proyecto X and Mariachi Divas performing on the grandstand stage. Voz de Mando’s hit single
“Comandos del M.P. (500 Balazos)” brought them international fame in 2010, which has
continued to this day. Proyecto X is known for songs “Ignore,” “Mi Angelita mi Diablita,”
and “The Beast.”
Los Angeles-based Voz de Mando received a Latin Grammy Award nomination for their
Mexican regional music. In 2010 they received mainstream success with hit single,
“Comandos del M.P. (500 Balazos)”. The group had only organized a year before, quite a
feat for such a prestigious nomination.
