Conclusions
Pluggable transceivers for TWDM PONs are developed for
future large scale deployment
– Integrated OLT transceiver module in enhanced CFP package
– Low cost ONU transceiver module in SFP+ package
– 40km reach and 36 dB power budget for ODN class E2
WDM PON overlay using self-seeded RSOA is demonstrated
– WDM PON overlay with minimum modification of ODN
– Low cost self-seeded RSOA for OLT and ONU
– 16x1.25Gb/s is demonstrated with 40km reach; 32x2.5Gb/s is possible
