Club de Golf Costa Brava
A British-designed course, with a clubhouse in a typical
Catalan farmhouse built in 1841. The first nine holes,
lined by pines and cork oaks, contrast with the back
nine, situated on the plain with broad freeways leading
to the par-5 18th hole, the final challenge for complet-
ing the round in par 70. Very enjoyable for all types
of players, with an itinerary that is level but presents
constant challenges. There is a hotel right beside the
course for golf addicts.

The Club de Golf Peralada, with 18 holes and a total
length of 6,071 m, is an ideal course for holding competitions of all levels or simply enjoying a pleasant,
relaxing day. It is considered suitable for all players because its design adapts to various levels of play. The 18
holes are distributed into five par 3’s, four par 5’s and
nine par 4’s. They are divided into two itineraries of nine
holes that start and finish at the clubhouse, the first being par 36 and the second par 35, making a total of par
71 for the whole course.
The design of the course shows great respect for
the environment. It is the first course to obtain the European Union’s EMAS Certification. It is located in the
Peralada Resort, which also includes the wine cellars,
the Castle, the Casino and, in the golf course itself, the
Hotel Peralada Wine Spa & Golf with its own Wine Spa
centre, the only one of its kind in Spain, which is based
on therapy with derivates of wine.

Empordà Golf course in the heart of the Costa Brava
was designed by American Robert von Hagge, one of
the best architects in the world. The 36-hole course consists of two 18-hole rounds, the first of which (‘Links’)
runs among dunes and lakes in the style of the finest
Scottish links, while the second (´Forest´) meanders
among pine trees and more lakes in a Mediterranean
forest style. The careful design and the natural beauty
of this course make it one of the most attractive and
stimulating in Europe. It has two new courses approved by the FEG, so it has a total of 6 approved courses. In addition, incorporating special tee areas called
“Birdie Tees” in all courses to make them more fun. The
complex is endowed with a 4-star hotel set in superb
natural surroundings. The 87 guestrooms have large
windows and balconies afford-ing unbeatable views.

Platja de Pals. The British-style 18-hole par-73 course is
the oldest on the Costa Brava. The concept and careful
construction of the course have earned it a place on
the Golf World ranking as one of the 100 best in Europe.
The round includes both wide-open and treeflanked fairways, raised greens mostly defended by
bunkers and by a modulated terrain that encourages

This 18-hole course is varied and comprehensive. The
first 9 holes are technically demanding, with narrow
fairways, vegetation and water (the fifth hole is on an

Defined as a par-3 of short distances, the 18-hole Par 3
Gualta course is a golfers’ delight, with bunkers, lakes
and large greens. It provides a challenge for golf-ers of

visited and inhabited, especially for commercial purposes, by the Greeks, Carthaginians and Romans, who
