Option Selection
Following on from the information provided on this
process in my last newsletter of 4th July, I remind you
that this process will occur over the next few weeks.
Your son’s Form Teacher will work with your son to
provide guidance in his selection of options. Once
these are selected you will have the opportunity to
confirm his selection for 2015. I would encourage you
to discuss this process with your son and seek advice
from his teachers/tutor should you require additional
knowledge on subjects and future pathways.!
P.T.A. Meeting
Thanks to all parents who attended the PTA Meeting
held last Wednesday evening in the Staffroom.
Mr
Hans Meys spoke about careers at the College and gave
advice about future pathways for boys and option
selections.
Te Manu Toroa Mobile Adolescent Dental Service!
!
FREE ONSITE DENTAL CARE FROM YEAR 9!
The Mobile Adolescent Dental Team is arriving at Tauranga Boys’ College towards the end of Term 3. They offer a free dental care
service on the school premises under the Ministry of Health’s CDA Contract. This service caters for all students from Year 9 until
the day before their 18th birthday. If you have not enrolled your adolescent at a dentist and would like to have them enrolled with
the team, please complete the enrollment form that you will receive by mail in the next week and return to the school office as
soon as possible. The team will be at Tauranga Boys’ College in Term 3 of every year. Your son will continue to receive annual
examinations and dental care until the day before his 18th birthday. You are only eligible to access one provider of the free CDA
contract so if you have your child enrolled at a dentist already you are not able to enroll with the onsite team. However, you may
change provider if you wish - just ask the team onsite. !
!
If you have any questions you can contact the team directly on 027 298 9741 or go to the website: !
