Along the Road to Freedom at the global assembly of Mennonite World Conference July 2015, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Happy to see the crates after a complicated journey across the border. Surprise! Some said they could not handle the entire exhibit emotionally in one visit, so, came back for a second or third viewing. Along the Road to Freedom committee member Nettie Dueck talks about her and her mother`s journey out of Russia with visitors to the exhibit. Elfrieda Schroeder talks about the painting about her mother, grandmother and great grandmother. The women`s stories were an emotional journey for many visitors, regardless of background. We met to talk about Along the Road to Freedom touring in the US. I met formally and informally with people from Europe, Virginia, Kansas, Indiana and California about the tour.
