Parking here
There are over 2,000 parking spaces available in a range of competitively
priced car parks located around Rotherham Town Centre. From easy
on-street parking offering the perfect spot for a 30 min stay to 2 hour,
4 hour and all-day parking on-street and in off-street car parks, there is a
space for you – and all within short walks of the main shopping and leisure
areas. For more details on the locations of the car parks see the map or visit

*Free Saturday parking is available on 25th October, 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd
& 29th November and 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th December in all Council
owned off-street car parks and on-street metered parking only.
Maximum parking stay still applies. Parking charges will be applicable again
from 3rd January 2015 onwards. Free parking on Sunday as usual.

Christmas Lights Switch-on Event
Dickensian Christmas
All Saints’ Square
Thursday 13th November,
from 4.30pm
Saturday, 6th December, 10.30am – 3.30pm
Rotherham starts the countdown to Christmas with this
annual festive spectacular including a market along
Effingham Street from 12 noon to 8pm for your festive
gifts , plus fairground rides. Join us for an epic evening of
entertainment with the main event starting at 4.30pm
in All Saints’ Square. Hosted by Rother FM, including
music from Bruvvas Blue, an appearance from the cast
of this year’s pantomime Aladdin, a giant video screen,
karaoke with lots of audience participation, fun and
EXTRA SPECIAL GUESTS Jive Bunny and the Mastermixers
performing a live video Christmas Party Mix.
Kindly sponsored by Tesco.

Rotherham’s Vintage Hop
Saturday 29th November, 10.30am – 3.30pm
Celebrate 40s & 50s retro in Rotherham Town Centre with
fantastic music and entertainment of the era plus vintage
market, vintage vehicles, vintage fun in the Imperial
Buildings and lots more! People are more than welcome to
come in dress of the era with prizes for best dressed.

Rotherham travels back in time for this fantastic Dickensian
themed Christmas celebration. Entertainment will include
Dr. Diabolo, Scrooge and Scratchit, Rotherham Town Band,
Palace of Curiosities, Victorian Dancers, Professor Jon’s
Flea Circus and more! Plus, craft workshops, hog roast,
market stalls and miniature steam train.
This family event has something for everyone and we look
forward to seeing you there! Free parking in Councilowned car parks and on-street parking bays*.
Magical Reindeer Experience
Saturday, 13th December, 11am – 3pm
Join Santa and his reindeer at this wonderful event
including a craft and gift market and entertainment
for the whole family!
The reindeer parade starts at 12.45pm and travels
through the town centre before entering a viewing
area outside Boots. Plus, look out for the Magical Reindeer
competition on our Facebook page:
