45
Model SB45
This inclined blind
has both tilt and lift
capabilities when the
incline, or slope, does not
exceed 45° from the vertical.
The blind is supported by turnbuckle tensioned wires and
requires special hardware
(provided) for inside mounting
only. For outside mounting,
additional hardware may be
required. Maximum width is 115",
maximum height 100". Minimum
width 18", minimum height 12".
Comes standard with wand tilt on

Turnbuckle Skylight
Inverted A-frame
Model TBSL
Model SDIA
For use in
large skylight
applications,
the TBSL can
be mounted
inside or outside the skylight
opening at any angle. It can be
tilted, but not raised, and has a
maximum width of 115", maximum height 100". For sizes below
48"w x 72"h, model ST2W is recommended. The TBSL has a headrail at each end and is supported
by turnbuckle tensioned wires.
The TBSL comes with a wand
tilter on the left side of the higher
headrail. A valance is provided as
standard. Requires special installation hardware (provided).
For inverted
A-frame
windows
with maximum size of
100" for A or
D, minimum sizes
of 12" for D, and 19"
for A. The inverted A-frame
blind will tilt, but will only lift to
the high point of C. Standard
controls, wand tilt left, cord tilt

Model SDAF
For A-frame windows
with maximum
widths and
heights to
100", down
to minimum
width of 19" and a minimum
height of 12". The A-frame blind
will tilt and lift to the lowest point
of the head-rail (A). The slats will
“fan” at the highest point to assure
privacy. The SDAF can be
mounted inside or outside the
casing, and comes with wand tilt
left and cord tilt lift on the right
side of the headrail. Provide accurate dimensions for B, C & D.
(Max. angle: C must be greater
than D-B.) Template required.
Right Angle Triangle
Model SDRT
For windows that have a
maximum size of 72" or
a minimum size of 24"
for B or C. The model
SDRT must be
constructed so
dimension B
is equal to

mounting an intermediate support
bracket at the arch and horizontal
headrails. The minimum width C
is 18". The arch section will have
wand tilt on the left side of the
headrail, but no lift capabilities.
The rectangular section will have
normal lift and tilt functions, and
standard control locations. For
pricing, add the price for the arch
section from Chart 4, to the price
for the rectangular section from
the appropriate retail price list.
Template required for arch section.
PRICE CHART E

is 90" with a minimum diameter
of 18". It can be tilted, but not
raised. Controls for upper and
lower sections are located on the
left side of the headrail. Template
required.

MEASURING GUIDELINES
INSIDE THE CASING INSTALLATION
Window Casing

C
ALUMINUM
HORIZONTAL BLINDS

D
Floor
Hunter Douglas Horizontal Blinds can be mounted
inside a window casing by following these simple
steps. Please keep in mind that a minimum of 1"x1"
flat surface is required for the mounting brackets. To
determine the inside measurements for the window:
1. Measure the width … distance across from one
inside face to the other. Measure at three (3)
different places, and use the narrowest dimension
when ordering (A dimension). It is critical to
measure the top width on the inside mount where
the headrail will be mounted. The factory will automatically deduct 1⁄2" from the inside measurement
for slat width to allow for out-of-square window
casings.
2. Measure the height … distance from the top (soffit)
down to the sill. If no sill, or an overlap is desired,
measure to the lowest point you want the blind to
reach (B or C dimension).
3. Measure the sill height … distance from the sill to
the floor. This will ensure that the operating controls are made to the proper length (D dimension).
Note: For Lightlines blinds, factory deductions for the
headrail will be slightly different.
OUTSIDE THE CASING INSTALLATION
Hunter Douglas Horizontal Blinds can be mounted
outside a window casing, provided there is a minimum
of 1"x1" flat surface for the mounting brackets. It is
recommended that the blinds overlap the window
opening by at least 2" on each side (total 4") to ensure
privacy and to control sunlight. To determine the
outside measurements for the window:
1. Measure the width … distance across, taking
into account at least 2" overlap on each side
(A dimension).
2. Measure the height … distance from the top
(where the mounting brackets will be) to the top
of the sill. If no sill, or an overlap is desired,
measure to the lowest point you want the blind
to reach (B or C dimension).
3. Measure the sill height … distance from the sill to
the floor. This will ensure the operating controls
are made to the proper length (D dimension).
Note: For Lightlines blinds, factory deductions for the
headrail will be slightly different.
