LAPPEENRANTA
In 2020, we are planning to open a brand new and modern
shopping center anchored by IKEA, just outside Lappeenranta city
center. IKEA attracts customers from further away than any other
retailer on the Finnish market and appeals to all customer groups
– families in particular.
Our new shopping center and the IKEA store will be integrated
under the same roof, offering the best and most versatile
shopping in the region. It will not only be the most attractive
location for customers from the Finnish side of the border, but
also for the constantly increasing Russian shoppers.
We believe in making shopping easy and enjoyable, in a safe,
welcoming environment where friends and families meet to shop,
eat and spend quality time together. That’s what our customers
will find at Lappeenranta Shopping Center.

Attractive market for retailers
Lappeenranta is located approximately 220 km northeast of Helsinki. It is a significant
regional centre and the only university city in the providence. Once arriving from
Russia, the site is located before the CBD.
Approximately 6 million people live within 200 km radius of Lappeenranta. The city
is well connected to the other cities in Finland. Train from Helsinki to Lappeenranta
takes 2 hours.
The retail site is located 7 km from the city center and is bordered by the highway 6,
the road 13 from the Russian border (20 km) and the Saimaa channel. The distance
to St Petersburg is 200 km.

making access convenient and finding a space near the entrance easy. Bus stops
and taxi stands are located close to all entrances.

Master plan
The tenant mix will offer a great variety of products in different quality and price
levels suitable for the catchment area. There will be an attractive selection of wellknown and established chains, both Finnish and international stores, along with
traditional local stores and a tempting food court.
IKEA will be located at the western end of the shopping center and there will be a
hypermarket at the eastern end. Stores will be located in clusters according to
their assortment, to make it easier for customers to find what they are looking for.
The north mall is planned to be our fashion street and the food court in the middle
will be the heart of the center. The southern mall will include both a family, home
and kid’s area.
