SQUARE COVER DESIGNS
IMPRINTING
AND INDENTATION GUIDELINES:
The cover design guide illustrates where imprinting,
cut-outs & indentations can appear on a given cover
design. ALL designs can be further restricted by material.
Always check to ensure you are selecting a cover material
that allows for imprinting or indentations if you wish to use
those options.
Also, centered cut-outs & indent cover desgins are visually
centered. This means they are slightly bottom weighted
(slightly more space at the bottom than the top) and not
exact center.
CUSTOM IMPRINT DIE:
You have the option of creating a completely custom die to
be used for imprinting on the cover of select cover designs.
The size of the die can be no larger than 2x4 inches (2x3
inches if you want a universal die for albums & totes) and
follow the same directions as creating a studio die.
Custom imprinting dies can be used on plain cover designs
and stripes (providing an appropriate cover material that
allows imprinting is chosen).
Custom imprint dies will either be visually centered on the
cover or centered within the accent stripe.
Custom imprint dies must remain in the accent stripe. You
will need to adjust your design accordingly depending on if
you are working with a horizontal or vertical stripe.
Why can’t I do type set imprinting on a stripe?
Simply put, there are too many variables into allowing
type set imprinting on a stripe. With a custom die, we can
control the size up front and know that any design created
within the template will always fit.
IMPRINTING DESCRIPTIONS:
LRC - lower right corner
This means that your type set imprinting will appear in the
lower right hand corner of the cover at least 1 inch from the
bottom or side edges.
VRC - vertical centered right
This means that your type set imprinting will appear centered along the right side of the cover. The type will run
vertically along the edge of the album at least 1 inch from
the cover edge.
VC - visual center
Visually centered, type set imprinting or custom dies are
centered slightly above the mid-point of the cover. If there
is a cover stripe in the design, the visual center will be centered within the largest part of the main cover material.
Cs - centered on stripe
This means that a custom die can be centered on the stripe
accent of the design. The die MUST remain fully within the
accent stripe. All designs must be orientated correctly.

HORIZONTAL COVER DESIGNS
IMPRINTING
AND INDENTATION GUIDELINES:
The cover design guide illustrates where imprinting,
cut-outs & indentations can appear on a given cover
design. ALL designs can be further restricted by material.
Always check to ensure you are selecting a cover material
that allows for imprinting or indentations if you wish to use
those options.
Also, centered cut-outs & indent cover desgins are visually
centered. This means they are slightly bottom weighted
(slightly more space at the bottom than the top) and not
exact center.
CUSTOM IMPRINT DIE:
You have the option of creating a completely custom die to
be used for imprinting on the cover of select cover designs.
The size of the die can be no larger than 2x4 inches (2x3
inches if you want a universal die for albums & totes) and
follow the same directions as creating a studio die.
Custom imprinting dies can be used on plain cover designs
and stripes (providing an appropriate cover material that
allows imprinting is chosen).
Custom imprint dies will either be visually centered on the
cover or centered within the accent stripe.
Custom imprint dies must remain in the accent stripe. You
will need to adjust your design accordingly depending on if
you are working with a horizontal or vertical stripe.
Why can’t I do type set imprinting on a stripe?
Simply put, there are too many variables into allowing
type set imprinting on a stripe. With a custom die, we can
control the size up front and know that any design created
within the template will always fit.
IMPRINTING DESCRIPTIONS:
LRC - lower right corner
This means that your type set imprinting will appear in the
lower right hand corner of the cover at least 1 inch from the
bottom or side edges.
VRC - vertical centered right
This means that your type set imprinting will appear centered along the right side of the cover. The type will run
vertically along the edge of the album at least 1 inch from
the cover edge.
VC - visual center
Visually centered, type set imprinting or custom dies are
centered slightly above the mid-point of the cover. If there
is a cover stripe in the design, the visual center will be centered within the largest part of the main cover material.
Cs - centered on stripe
This means that a custom die can be centered on the stripe
accent of the design. The die MUST remain fully within the
accent stripe. All designs must be orientated correctly.

VERTICAL COVER DESIGNS
IMPRINTING
AND INDENTATION GUIDELINES:
The cover design guide illustrates where imprinting,
cut-outs & indentations can appear on a given cover
design. ALL designs can be further restricted by material.
Always check to ensure you are selecting a cover material
that allows for imprinting or indentations if you wish to use
those options.
Also, centered cut-outs & indent cover desgins are visually
centered. This means they are slightly bottom weighted
(slightly more space at the bottom than the top) and not
exact center.
CUSTOM IMPRINT DIE:
You have the option of creating a completely custom die to
be used for imprinting on the cover of select cover designs.
The size of the die can be no larger than 2x4 inches (2x3
inches if you want a universal die for albums & totes) and
follow the same directions as creating a studio die.
Custom imprinting dies can be used on plain cover designs
and stripes (providing an appropriate cover material that
allows imprinting is chosen).
Custom imprint dies will either be visually centered on the
cover or centered within the accent stripe.
Custom imprint dies must remain in the accent stripe. You
will need to adjust your design accordingly depending on if
you are working with a horizontal or vertical stripe.
Why can’t I do type set imprinting on a stripe?
Simply put, there are too many variables into allowing
type set imprinting on a stripe. With a custom die, we can
control the size up front and know that any design created
within the template will always fit.
IMPRINTING DESCRIPTIONS:
LRC - lower right corner
This means that your type set imprinting will appear in the
lower right hand corner of the cover at least 1 inch from the
bottom or side edges.
VRC - vertical centered right
This means that your type set imprinting will appear centered along the right side of the cover. The type will run
vertically along the edge of the album at least 1 inch from
the cover edge.
VC - visual center
Visually centered, type set imprinting or custom dies are
centered slightly above the mid-point of the cover. If there
is a cover stripe in the design, the visual center will be centered within the largest part of the main cover material.
Cs - centered on stripe
This means that a custom die can be centered on the stripe
accent of the design. The die MUST remain fully within the
accent stripe. All designs must be orientated correctly.

IMPRINTING
AND INDENTATION GUIDELINES:
The cover design guide illustrates where imprinting,
cut-outs & indentations can appear on a given cover
design. ALL designs can be further restricted by material.
Always check to ensure you are selecting a cover material
that allows for imprinting or indentations if you wish to use
those options.
Also, centered cut-outs & indent cover desgins are visually
centered. This means they are slightly bottom weighted
(slightly more space at the bottom than the top) and not
exact center.
CUSTOM IMPRINT DIE:
You have the option of creating a completely custom die to
be used for imprinting on the cover of select cover designs.
The size of the die can be no larger than 2x4 inches (2x3
inches if you want a universal die for albums & totes) and
follow the same directions as creating a studio die.
Custom imprinting dies can be used on plain cover designs
and stripes (providing an appropriate cover material that
allows imprinting is chosen).
Custom imprint dies will either be visually centered on the
cover or centered within the accent stripe.
Custom imprint dies must remain in the accent stripe. You
will need to adjust your design accordingly depending on if
you are working with a horizontal or vertical stripe.
Why can’t I do type set imprinting on a stripe?
Simply put, there are too many variables into allowing
type set imprinting on a stripe. With a custom die, we can
control the size up front and know that any design created
within the template will always fit.
IMPRINTING DESCRIPTIONS:
LRC - lower right corner
This means that your type set imprinting will appear in the
lower right hand corner of the cover at least 1 inch from the
bottom or side edges.
VRC - vertical centered right
This means that your type set imprinting will appear centered along the right side of the cover. The type will run
vertically along the edge of the album at least 1 inch from
the cover edge.
VC - visual center
Visually centered, type set imprinting or custom dies are
centered slightly above the mid-point of the cover. If there
is a cover stripe in the design, the visual center will be centered within the largest part of the main cover material.
Cs - centered on stripe
This means that a custom die can be centered on the stripe
accent of the design. The die MUST remain fully within the
accent stripe. All designs must be orientated correctly.
