Front & Rear Doors for IMPress cabinets are available in a
variety of styles. Framed doors for use at the front can be fitted
with steel panels - either plain or fully perforated - or 4mm thick
toughened glass.
The hexagonal perforation patterns have a cell opening ratio of
70%.
For use at the rear a choice of single or dual width doors of onepiece construction are available. These can be plain or fully
perforated and fitted with 90 CFM fans along their height. Half
width dual doors are a particularly attractive option for
minimizing access space requirements at the rear of the
cabinets.

LEVELLING LEGS
IMPress cabinets are normally supplied with a set of 4 Levelling
Legs. Castors rated for 250 kg each are also available as an
option, and can be used along with the Levelling Legs.
For use in Data Centers, where airflow and cabling
considerations need to be catered for, Base Frames are
necessary. These are available in easy-to-transport kits that
can be assembled at site in a matter of minutes.

BOTTOM COVER
Bottom Covers slide in from the front and are locked in place by
means of a pair of plastic Push Rivets. The Bottom Covers
present a level and uniform surface for easy maintenance.

ACCESSORY MOUNTING FRAME - AMF
The AMF is a vertically mounted tray of 175mm width that has a
pattern of square and round holes, and elongated slots that
serve as a mounting platform for the fixing of PDUs, Cable
Loops and Cable Management Channels. The AMFs provide a
convenient means for routing of cables along the sides of the
cabinets.
A pair of AMFs are mounted opposite each other, alongside the
Cable Entry Ports, so as to leave the central space free and not
obstruct the outflow of warm exhaust air from equipment
towards the rear perforated doors.

CABLE ENTRY COVERS
Top & Bottom Covers at the rear of IMPress cabinets are
designed for the quick and easy introduction of cable bunches
into the cabinet. These Covers are supplied with a pair of open
ports that are covered by a pair of Gland Plates, which may be
replaced with optional, retro-fittable Cable Brushes instead.
Cable bunches from overhead or under-floor may be
“gathered” within the open frame of the IMPress, after which
the Covers are slid into place to lock in the cables - thus greatly
simplifying the process.
IMPress Top Covers are available in two styles - plain or with
provision to fix a Fan Housing Unit (FHU). FHU's provide a
simple means for exhausting warm air through the top of the
cabinets. The Top Covers have provisions for the rapid
installation of FHUs using the quick, tool-free features
provided. FHUs for IMPress cabinets of 800,1000 and
1200mm depths can hold 2, 4 or 6 fans (90 CFM) respectively.

Side Beams are made of heavy gauge sheet steel and are
manufactured with the use of precision tools. The 4 Side
Beams provide front-to-back stability as well as the
functionalities for the IMPress family.
These Channels are designed for quick installation using the
special Plastic Retainer Clips. They provide a means for the
recessing of 19” Panel Mounts, as well as for the mounting of
accessories such as Trays, Shelves and Support Angles.
DISPLAY
The Front Cover has provisions for housing an optional Display
Unit and / or an Illumination Strip.
The Display Unit has the flexibility to display backlit Customer
logos, 14 alphanumeric characters of user-programmable
scrolling text (256 characters) and Temperature (3 zones) with
Relative Humidity.
The Illumination Strip for use at the front and rear of IMPress
cabinets are door-actuated and made with LEDs so as to
conserve power. They provide sufficient illumination for
operator convenience, even in the low light levels common in
Data Centers today.
SIDE BEAMS
The 19” Panel Mounts fixed at the front of IMPress cabinets are
of full height. They can be recessed along the depth by using
the Depth Support Channels provided along the sides of
IMPress cabinets.
The 19” Panel Mounts at the rear are split into 3 pairs - each
pair being independently adjustable along the cabinet depth.
This makes it possible to position the 19” Panel Mounts to suit
rack-mount equipment of different depths. All Panel Mounts are
supplied with “U” markings.

PICTURE FRAMES
SIDE COVERS
Side Covers for the IMPress are split into two parts for ease of
handling. The Rear Extension Panels have a fixed depth of
200mm and are fastened by means of internal screws.
Whereas the widths of the main Side Covers vary with the
cabinet depths. These covers are fastened by a pair of Slide
Latches at the front and rear bottom corners. As a security
feature, neither of the covers have external latches or fastners
and can be removed only after gaining access to the inside of
the cabinet through the front and rear doors.
Both sets of covers are designed so as not to fall over on the
operator when unlatched. They have to be lifted clear for
removal, thus providing safety to installers.
