The Official City of Cuyahoga Falls Calendar
ince becoming your
Mayor, one of my main
goals has been to improve communications
between City Hall and our
residents. Whether it be
through my Facebook
page, information via the
Falls News Press, our city newsletter or face-to-face communication, I want to make sure that you remain aware of the resources
and programs that continue to be offered, free of charge, to all
residents of the City of Cuyahoga Falls.
As you are traveling across the city, I urge you to stop and take a
moment to see the progress that is happening all around us. Our
community is booming with business and I could not be more
proud as I continue to see residents and visitors taking advantage
of all that the city has to offer. Whether taking in a movie, grabbing a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants, or shopping at
one of the retail establishments, you can feel the excitement that
is building as the city moves forward. I encourage you to continue
to support our local businesses around town.
Thank you for continuing to be part of this magnificent community – Life Is Better Here in the City of Cuyahoga Falls!
I wish you all a happy, safe and prosperous New Year!
Respectfully,
Mayor Don Walters

hildren and families are the backbone of Cuyahoga Falls
Parks and Recreation. Our facilities and programs offer amazing
opportunities for youngsters and parents to explore not only
their creative minds, but foster healthy ones as well.
For almost every age group, indoor and outdoor activities exist
year-round in the park system. Crafts, dancing, climbing, skating,
putting, and peddling are a fraction of the high caliber recreation
we offer. Spread throughout the year, many of our special events such as Touch-a-Truck, the Goldfish
Catch, Lunch with Santa, Daddy-Daughter Dance, Mom Prom and the All Kid’s Carnival, bring lasting
memories to children, their parents and caregivers.
Take a moment to view our online Activity Guide at www.cityofcf.com/parksandrec to see all of the
programs, events and facilities offered by Cuyahoga Falls Parks and
Recreation. You’ll be amazed at the vast amount of programs we
put forward for
everyone to experience.

he Cuyahoga Falls Water Department is responsible for serving the needs of approximately
55,000 consumers which include citizens and
businesses in Cuyahoga Falls, Munroe Falls,
and Silver Lake.
Local water supply is provided by a system
of 18 wells that are situated in an area that is
part of a buried valley where permeable outwash gravels are crossed by major streams. The great Cuyahoga River
contributes flow to the aquifer and the well field is recharged by means
of channels and lagoons.
The Cuyahoga Falls sanitary and storm sewers are laid out in separate
systems. The storm sewer system carries storm water runoff to the nearest natural watercourse. It is critical that both citizens
and businesses are mindful of the importance
of keeping litter, yard debris and other contaminants from entering storm sewers.
The sanitary sewer system collects industrial,
commercial and residential waste which is
transported to the Akron Water Pollution Control Facility for treatment.
For more information on services
provided by the Water Utilities Division,
please call the department at 330-971-8130.
If a possible water line break is apparent,
please call the Water Stockroom at 330-971-8005
between the hours of 7:30 am to 4 pm.
After hours, please call the Police Department
non-emergency number at 330-928-2181.
