MEXICO CITY
After your arrival in Mexico City your guide will welcome you at the airport with a sign with your name and
bring you to your hotel. Overnight stay.
DAY 2
CITY TOUR
After breakfast at around 9 am your city tour begins. You will visit the historical center to see sights like Zócalo (the Place of the Constitution) one of the world’s largest city squares, the Cathedral Metropolitana, the
National Palace and the National Museum of Anthropology. In the afternoon you will drive to Xochimilco, the
“Place where Flowers Grow”, to enjoy a boat trip through the famous canals (price not included). Afterwards
return to your hotel and overnight stay.
DAY 3
TEOTIHUACÁN
After breakfast you will visit the ancient city of Teotihuacán, located about 60 km north of Mexico City. This
complex of pyramids was once Mesoamerica’s greatest city. The original name remains a mystery, but the
Aztecs named it the “City of Gods” when they found it as they could not believe that humans have built such
grand structures. Climbing the pyramids you will have an incredible view over the whole territory. On your
way back to Mexico City you will stop at the Basilica of Guadalupe to see illustrations of the patron of Mexico,
la Virgin de Guadalupe, also known as the Virgin Mary. Afterwards return to your hotel and overnight stay.
DAY 4
MEXICO CITY
At the appropriate time your guide will take you to the airport for your return flight or you can continue your

Breakfast. You will be picked up for your city tour. You will ride through the historical centre and have a closer
look at Zócalo (the Place of the Constitution), the Cathedral Metropolitana and the National Palace including some fantastic murals by Diego Rivera. After stops at the Plaza of the Three Cultures and the Basilica of
Guadalupe you will continue to the archaelogical site of Teotihuacán. You get the chance to climb the famous

DAY 3
MEXICO CITY - CUERNAVACA - TAXCO
After breakfast and check out at your hotel you will drive to Cuernavaca to have a tour of the historical centre
and to see the magnificent cathedral. Afterwards you will continue to Taxco where you will visit the Church of
Santa Prisca and a silver workshop. You will also get some free time for shopping before checking in in your
hotel in Taxco. The rest of the day is yours to explore and enjoy the city. Overnight stay.

TAXCO - ACAPULCO
After breakfast and check out at your hotel you will continue to Acapulco, where you have free time to enjoy

After breakfast you will enjoy a guided city tour to see the centre and the famous Acapulco cliff divers, also

HUASTECA
After breakfast you will drive to Tampaon River to paddle against the current to reach the best view of the
Cascades in Tamil. You will also get to see la Cueva del Agua and the Basement of Huahuas, where parrots,
swifts and swallows arrive in the eveing to perform their homecoming ritual. Afterwards return to your hotel

TAMTOC
Today a boat will take you to the archaelogical zone of Tamtoc, an important site of Mesoamerica’s history. Here

FRIDA’S TOUR
This day of the tour is fully designated to Frida Kahlo. First you will drive to Coyoacán, where you get
the chance to visit the Casa Azul, the house where Frida was born and lived most of her life. You will see
collections and furniture that remained from the time when she and her husband Diego Rivera lived here.
Besides the personal effects it contains, it also offers a insight in the Mexican lifestyle of the first half of the
20th century. Afterwards you will visit Trotsky’s House Museum and you will be invited for lunch in one of the
typical restaurants on the main Plaza Hidalgo. After a short walk through Frida Kahlo’s park you will continue
to the Museo Diego Rivera Anahuacalli to admire Diegos’ private collection of prehispanic artefacts and his
studio. Afterwards your tour will take you to the Dolores Olmedo House Museum, which contains the worlds’
largest collection of Frida’s and Diego’s work. Afterwards return to your hotel and overnight stay.
DAY 4
DIEGO’S TOUR
After breakfast you will drive to Zócalo, also known as the symbol of power and the heart of the country,
where you will visit Mexico City’s Cathedral. Here you can admire the synthesis of Spanish and native art. Afterwards you will continue to visit the National Palace with its historical court yard and depictions of Mexican
life in the fabulous murals of Diego Rivera. Your visit of Zócalo will end with a visit to the only archaelogical
zone in the centre, the Temple Mayor. Afterwards your tour will pass by at Frida’s high school (San Ildefonco),
the place where she first met Diego Rivera, before going to the Ministry of Education. Here some of Rivera’s
most interesting murals were created. Your next stop will be at the local Mexican restaurant “Historia Santa
Domingo” to try the delicious national dish of Mexico, Chiles en Nogada. After lunch you will continue to the
National Museum of Art to see some of Frida’s and Diego’s work and the Palace of Fine Arts (Palacio de Bellas
Artes), one of Mexico City’s biggest and conspicuious public buildings build during the Porfirio periods. The
palace is also home of the famous mural “Man at the Crossroads” and the National Institute of Fine Arts has
occupied the great domed building since 1947. Its collection also includes paintings by Rufino Tamayo and
David Alfaro Siqueiro. Afterwards return to your hotel and overnight stay.

SAN ÁNGEL
After breakfast you will begin your tour by visiting the National Museum of Anthropology, one of the worlds’
famous museums, where you can find numerous pre-colonial treasures that influenced the work of Frida
Kahlo and Diego Rivera. The first floor is dedicated to Mexico’s pre-hispanic period, whereas the second
floor houses modern work of the pre-hispanic civilization. In the entrance hall you can find murals by contemporary artists, like Rivera’s students O’ Gorman and Chavez Morado. Afterwards you will continue to the
National University UNAM where can admire works by O’ Gorman and Diego River’s decoration of the Olympic
Stadium, before you will drive to San Ángel. In San Ángel you will visit Diego Rivera’s studio, which is now a
art gallery and cultural center. Here you can also find excellent restaurants and boutiques, which offer Mexican handcraft. In the afternoon you will have time to visit the Museum of Modern Art. On your way back to
your hotel you will stop at Chapultepec Park to enjoy the atmosphere. Overnight stay.

TUXTLA GUTIERREZ - CAÑON DEL SUMIDERO - SAN CRISTOBAL DE LAS CASAS
You will be picked up at the airport or bus station in Tuxtla Gutierrez and drive to Cahuaré, wher you will hop
on a motor boat to see the impressive Cañon del Sumidero (two hours). Afterwards you will visit the charming colonial city Chiapa de Corzo and have lunch in a typical restaurant before you continue to San Cristobal
de las Casas to check in at your hotel. Overnight stay.
DAY 2
INDIAN TOWNS
After breakfast at around 9 am your day starts with the visit of the indigenous Maya Market of San Cristobal,
Santo Domingo and Charity Church. Afterwards you will drive to the Mayan villages Chamula and Zinacantan
to experience the daily life, including special rituals and ceremonies in the church of Chamula. You will get
to know more about shamanism, religion and the Mayan cosmology. Furthermore, you will visit families in
Zinacantan to see women producing textiles and have traditional Mayan lunch before you return to San
Cristobal to enjoy the rest of the afternoon. Overnight stay.
DAY 3
SAN CRISTOBAL DE LAS CASAS - AGUA AZUL - MISOL HÁ - PALENQUE
After breakfast you will start early in the direction of Ocosingo where you will visit the huge archaelogical
site of Toniná to admire the architecture and Maya art exhibited in the beautiful museum. Afterwards you will
continue to the waterfalls of Agua azul to enjoy the view or even take a swim in the clear water. After lunch
in a local restaruant you will continue to Palenque, visiting the waterfall Misol Há on your way. Check in at
your hotel in Palenque and overnight stay.
DAY 4
PALENQUE - VILLAHERMOSA
After breakfast you will the city, which is one of the most important and biggest ancient cities of the Maya
world. The mangificent architecture and art of the Temple of Inscriptions, Palace, Temple of the Sun, Foliage Cross, Temple of the Cross and Ball court can be admired. More than 200 temples are hiding here in the
jungle. After lunch in a local restaurant you will be transfered to Villahermosa and dropped of at Villahermosa
airport or bus station. End of services.

After breakfast early departure to the National Park of Montebello to visit the beautiful lakes Tziscao, Pojoj,

Puente, an important archaeological site of the classic period. After exploring the beautiful temples and ball
courts you will have lunch in a local restaurant in Comitan and continue to San Vicente River to see the biggest waterfall of the Chiapas, El Chiflon. After some free time to enjoy the nature and swim you will return
to San Cristobal. Overnight stay.

SAN CRISTOBAL DE LAS CASAS - AGUA AZUL - MISOL HÁ - PALENQUE
After breakfast you will start early in the direction of Ocosingo where you will visit the huge archaelogical

you will take a motor boat ride over the river towards Yaxchilan, a wonderfull site surrounded by the
Lacandon Jungle. After you explored the steles, carvings and the remarkable architecture you will have lunch
before you return to Palenque. Overnight stay.
DAY 6
PALENQUE - VILLAHERMOSA
After breakfast you will the city, which is one of the most important and biggest ancient cities of the
Maya world. The mangificent architecture and art of the Temple of Inscriptions, Palace, Temple of the Sun,

EL DIVISADERO - CREEL
In the morning your will hike to La Piedra Volada and Casita del Rancho to enjoy the amazing view. After

DAY 4
CREEL - CHIHUAHUA
After breakfast you will enjoy a guided tour through Creel, which will take you to the Lago Areko and Valle
de los Hongos y de Ranas. You will also visit the small village San Ignacio to admire the church as well as a

means “painted stone” and its inhabitants still preserve the traditions and folklore of their Mayan heritage.
Besides that Celestun is the only entry point to the Parque National Rio Celestun, a 100,000 acre wildlife
reserve with extensive mangrove forests, salt flats and one of the largest flamingo colony in North America.
You can enjoy your time here by watching birds, search shells, fish, join a boat tour or swim. Later in the
afternoon you will return to your hotel in Mérida. Overnight stay.

UXMAL - KABAH - CAMPECHE
After breakfast you will visit the archaeological site again to learn more about the pyrammids, the Casa de
las Monjas, the Palacio del Gobernador ad the Ballgame Grounds. Afterwards you will continue to Kabah to
have lunch and visit the Ceremonial Center, which was built by the Mayas in the so-called Puuc style and is
known for the masks of the rain god Chac. In continuation you will drive to Campeche to have for dinner and

DAY 5
CAMPECHE - PALENQUE
Breakfast. Afterwards you will have a tour through the city, which is known as the “Pirate City” as many of the
ships at the coast of Campeche were plundered by pirates in the 19th century. Since 1999 the city is listed as

DAY 6
PALENQUE - CALAKMUL
After breakfast you will explore Palenque, which is situated in the jungles of Chiapas and known as one of the
greatest Mayan cities. The city is build in the middle of the jungle at the foothills of Mount Usumancinta and
it is estimated that it already existed by 300 BC. Inside the Pyramid of the Inscription archaeologists found
the only tomb ever found in a pyramid in Mexico. In the afternoon you will continue to Calakmul and check
in at your hotel close to the archaeological site of Calakmul. Overnight stay.
DAY 7
CALAKMUL - CHETUMAL
After breakfast you will visit Calakmul, which once was a powerful Mayan City and political rival of Tikal, a
present town of Guatemala based on a competition that occured through the splitting of the Mayas into two
camps. It is often referred to this city as “Kaan” or “Kingdom of the Serpent” which was the most significant
city in the years 700 BC to 200 AD. The largest pyramid in Calakmul has a side length of 140 meters. In the
afternoon you will continue to Chetumal to check-in at your hotel. Overnight stay.
DAY 8
CHETUMAL - TULUM - CANCUN
Breakfast. Afterwards you will have a panoramic tour of Chetumal before you continue to Tulum, located on
the turquoise blue Caribbean coast of Yucatan. Tulum is impressive because of its beautiful location on a
limestone cliff 12 meters above the Caribbean Sea. In the evening you will continue to the airport in Cancun
or one of the numerous beach resorts to enjoy the beautiful beach. End of services.

PANAMA CITY
When you arrive in Panama City where your guide will be waiting for you with a sign with your name in the
public arrival hall of the airport. Transfer to your hotel and overnight stay.
DAY 2 PANAMA CANAL & CITY TOUR
Today you will be picked up to enjoy a partial Panama Canal Tour. After your arrival at the Flamenco Resort
and Marina around 9:30 am you will board motor coraches for a 45 minutes ride to the town of Gamboa the
Panama Canal Dredging Division is located. Once in Gamboa, passengers board the Pacific Queen to start the
water portion of the tour. The Gaillard Cut (also known as Culebra Cut because its curves resemble a snake)
is one of the main points of interest for visitors because it was carved through the Continental Divide and
this section of the Canal is full of history and geological value. The Pacific Queen will travel the Cut’s 13.7

Breakfast. In the morning you will enjoy a guided city tour of Mérida, on which you will visit the new Maya
museum, the Cathedral Casa de Montejo and the Palace and enjoy the fascinating combination of art, history and culture in the capital city of the Mexican State Yucatan. In the afternoon you will travel to Uxmal, to
visit this late-classic Maya site. The history of Uxmal is uncertain but most of the buildings date from the 7th
to 10th Centuries AD, when Uxmal dominated the region. The real function of many of these structures is
unknown. Unlike most Yucatán sites, Uxmal has no cenotes and water was collected in man-made cisterns.
The scarcity of water may explain the number of depictions of the rain god Chaac on the buildings. Highlights
include the Governors Palace, actually three buildings linked by Maya arches, built during the 9th and 10th
Centuries AD; The Nunnery Quadrangle, so named because the Spanish thought that the 74 small rooms
set around a central courtyard resembled the cells of a nunnery; and The Magician’s Pyramid, the tallest and
most striking structure at Uxmal, begun in the 6th century AD. After dinner and some free time you will

Breakfast. Afterwards you will continue to Chichen Itza. For many, today’s excursion will be the highlight
of the tour, recently declared as one of the Seven New Wonders, Chichen Itza is undoubtedly the best-preserved Maya site on the peninsula. The date of the first settlement in the older, southern part of the site is
uncertain, but the northern section was built during a renaissance in the 11th Century AD. In its heyday as a
commercial, religious and military centre, which lasted until about the 13th Century, Chichen Itza supported
over 35,000 people. The ruins were built with such knowledge of cosmology and mathematics that astound
scholars from around the world. Deadly games were held in the magnificent Ball Court to choose sacrificial
victims for the altar-throne that was in the form of a red jaguar encrusted with jade, and their remains
displayed in the gruesome Temple of Skulls. This ball court is the largest to be found in Mesoamerica. After
