Celebrate your love for dance and sign up for this workshop. Details on rehearsals are as follows: Piece: Excerpts from Don Quixote Location: New York City Center Studios Days: Monday and Wednesday evenings beginning February 9 Time: 9:30 pm to 10:30 pm Performances are March 13, 14 2015 at the Ailey Citigroup Theater. Be sure to purchase your tickets early as these shows tend to sell out quickly. 3 of 10 2/4/15, 3:50 PM Kat Wildish Presents: Performing in NY Spotlight Series Kat Wildish's new Spotlight Series is an exciting additional performance opportunity for solo dancers, duets, and small groups with 6 dancers or less. Different from the Performing in NY Showcase, the Spotlight Series gives dancers in all styles a performance opportunity to be featured performing in a solo or smaller group in a Black box/Salon setting to hone their skills. Participating dancers must prepare their own work for two studio showings held at The Ailey Studios the evening of March 1, 2015. To be considered for this showcase: Submit your bio and a video of your piece before February 20 Ensure that the piece you intend to present has no more than 6 dancers Plan to be available from 4 - 9 pm on March 1 Two performances occur on March 1 at the Ailey Studio Theater Contact [email protected] for more information or to purchase tickets for this event. Much has changed from its early days when: Twitter referred to a bird call The newsletter had a black background and white text There were more phone numbers and fewer links Each issue was one long email with little or no formatting The survival of the newsletter and its current layout is in no small part due to Taylor Gordon's expertise and vision. As we begin a new year, that too has changed as she has graciously passed the editor's baton on to me: Rebecca Tomlinson. Though I can only imagine what the newsletter will be ten years from now, the one thing I am sure of is that it will still have the same loyal, and passionate readers we have now.
