“A lot of the gain we’ve seen is from light trucks, SUVs, cross-overs, minivans and pickup trucks,” said David
Berson, chief economist at Nationwide Insurance in Columbus, Ohio. “Because gasoline prices have come down,
it makes it less expensive to run the vehicles that use more fuel” and frees up consumers’ budgets to put toward
more cars or higher car loan payments.

 This program is intended to reward those Dealer Managers that most influence Accessory Sales.
 Enrollment: All enrollment selections made during the previous 2015 GM Accessories Sales Manager
Bonus Programs will automatically carry over for the September program. Enrollment changes can be made
via the GM earnPOWER site, located in GM Global Connect.
 Program Period: September 1, 2015 – September 30, 2015
 How it works: Dealer Managers who qualify under the GM Accessories Sales Manager Bonus Program
will qualify for a payout in earnPower Rewards only if the dealership meets or exceeds the following for the
month of September:
1. LEVEL 1 SALES MGR. BONUS: $15 per eligible delivery
Dealerships that achieve Level 1 will earn a payout equal to $15 per eligible delivery during the
Program Period. To earn a payout under Level 1, the Dealer must meet or exceed the Dealership’s
Accessories Sales Objective for the month of September 2015.
OR
2. LEVEL 2 SALES MGR. BONUS: $20 per eligible delivery
Dealerships that achieve Level 2 will earn a payout equal to $20 per eligible delivery during the
Program Period. To earn a payout under Level 2, the Dealer must meet or exceed both (i) the
Dealership’s Accessories Sales Objective for the month of September 2015, AND (ii) the Dealership’s
New Vehicle Retail Sales Objective for the month of September 2015.
*September 2015 Accessories objectives are based on specific criteria; Dealer objectives are determined by combining all
divisional objectives within the BAC.

It Pays to Give Thanks at the Office
It’s rare to find gratitude around the workplace, but appreciation is an
even better motivator than money

Being appreciated is one of the great motivators on the job, even better than
money. Researchers at the London School of Economics analyzed more than 50
studies for a 2011 paper that looked at what gets people charged up at work. They
concluded that we give our best effort if the work gets us interested and excited,
if we feel that it’s providing meaning and purpose, and if others appreciate what
we’re doing.
