DermaSaver™ Products offer proven head-to-toe skin
protection. MicroSpring Textile closely matches soft
tissue, making DermaSaver like a soft, protective extra
skin layer, offering pressure relief, shear reduction,
breathability, moisture transfer, and antimicrobial
protection—all in one package. Designed to fit loosely,
the unique material construction makes these soft tubes
self-supporting—they won’t slip down or bunch up like
other skin sleeves. Stretchy knit fabric is durable and
laun-derable for repeated long-term and non-patient
specific use. Polyester/spandex blend. Latex-free. Meets
CAL 117 flame-retardant standard.
Original line is protected by AEGis Microbe Shield®, which
inhibits the growth of micro-organisms on the product. Silver
line has a permanent X-Static silver thread knit into the layer
closest to the skin to kill 99.9% of bacteria in less than one
hour of exposure.
Full Leg Tube protects from ankle to above knee. Double
knee full-leg model has four layers of MicroSpring™ Textile
to protect at knee.

want yours made with “spacer fabric,” a three-layer
laminate with soft hydrophilic fabric top and bottom. It
readily attracts and wicks away moisture, while the core, a

a highly air-permeable blanket. This promotes air
circulation and, as a result, helps avoid skin maceration.

T-Foam—
For pressure distribution
T-Foam (Temper Foam) is the
original memory foam developed
for the National Aeronautics and
Space Administration (NASA), and
remains true to its original
formulation. Available in several
grades tailored to subtle anatomical
features. It retains its compressed shape after weight is
removed, and allows for more efficient capillary blood flow
to tissues on the weight-bearing surface.
The result: Outstanding, uniform pressure distribution and
improved skin integrity.
T-Foam is the time-proven foam sitting surface for
thousands of professionals and wheelchair users. Its
thickness and grade (soft, medium, or hard) must be
matched to the users weight. Choosing a cushion that’s too
soft or too thin may cause it to bottom out, reducing its
effectiveness.
T-Gel fights friction and shear
Where friction and shear are the dominant concerns, no
substance performs like gel. Gel approximates the
consistency of fatty tissue by providing an additional layer
of protective cushioning to at-risk tissue.
There are two primary types of gels
used in making cushions—viscous
water-based gels, and true elastomer
gels like our AliMed T-Gel. Elastomer
gel is a solid sheet of soft, rubber-like
polymer that mimics fatty tissue.
Smooth
T-Gel is preferred because of its
integrity and stability. It’s guaranteed
not to leak or dry out even if
accidently punctured or cut.
A smooth gel sheet cushion offers
basic shear relief, but is limited in
Checkerboard
reducing pressure. Checkerboard
versions offer greater air circulation for fragile skin and can
help minimize pressure by adapting to subtle anatomical
contours.

TR2 Tamper-Resistant Alarm
features “Always On” Technology—
perfect for patients who abuse alarms,
disconnect the sensor cable, or try to
turn them off. It’s always on—it does
not have an on/off switch. Patients
can’t switch it off and caregivers can’t
forget to switch it on! Once the batteries are loaded and
the cable is inserted, the alarm is activated. All settings
are concealed under the battery cover, away from
tinkering patients. Hidden dual-reset buttons must be
pressed in unison to reset alarm. Sensor cables are held
in place by a lock-n-load switch. If the switch is opened,
the alarm is triggered. ABS plastic case with rubber
bumpers to protect the unit from drops and other abuse.

plastic and rubber bumpers—it can take abuse and it

Three models are available to fit your specific
requirements:
MultiBoot™ Standard is the affordable contracture,
wound care, and footdrop boot that offers optimal heel
pressure relief with limited ambulation qualities. The sturdy
shell delivers excellent support with an anti-rotation bar,
limiting unwanted hip rotation. Toe plate keeps bedding off
toes. Synthetic fleece liner generously pads sensitive skin and
wicks away moisture.

The MultiBoot Standard is the basic and serves as a good
general-purpose choice. The plastic backbone is tough ABS
injection-molded plastic. Includes fittings for an optional toe
extender to keep heavy blankets off the feet. An optional
outsole fitting for limited ambulation attaches to the distal
end of the backbone. An anti-rotation bar swivels into
position and folds back into its storage position.
The heel area is ballooned out to prevent heel contact.
Perfect to avoid ulceration or to assist in the ulcer treatment
process.
The liner is laminated, padded, washable fabric and
provides a comfortable, safe interface for the user’s skin.
MuliBoot Xtra features a greatly enhanced liner with
larger, wider foot and ankle straps to hold the orthosis
more securely and with additional padding. Additional
padding protects the calf area. The rigid shell is completely
covered by the liners reducing injury risk to the other leg
by unprotected edges.
Spacer fabric liner is the coolest liner in the industry. It
allows for the free flow of air while never matting down like
a conventional foam laminate. Moisture quickly evaporates
and cannot collect and skin maceration concerns virtually
disappear.
The anti-skid walking surface is ready to go without the
necessity of an accessory outsole.
MutiBoot Plus model is the answer where limited
ambulation is expected and important. The easy-on, easyoff outsole is just that. It is secure and resists unstable
twisting. The fleece liner is generously cut to offer
maximum foot and ankle coverage and protection.
Use this boot if balance and stability are a concern.
Two liner options are offered—Synthetic Fleece and
Real Wool.

How does it work?
Positioning a severely contracted hand is
extremely challenging. Prying the
fingers open is difficult and can
cause severe pain to the patient
and injury to the hand. The

FREEDOM® Carrot Orthosis
System by AliMed is the first of its
kind to offer an alternative to forcibly
prying open contracted fingers. The loop
at the small end of the Carrot allows the caregiver to
comfortably pull the orthosis into the hand with the
convenient “magic wand” placement tool. The conical shape
of the Carrot allows for gradual opening of the fingers. The
fingers are gently and progressively
opened as the orthosis is introduced.

Antimicrobial-treated Blue Carrot has a soft covering permanently impregnated
with silver ion particles that act as a barrier against bacteria, viruses, and fungi. This version
solves the toughest hand contracture problems, while helping prevent palm infection and
unpleasant odor. Tiny plastic microspheres fill the carrot and are highly conforming and
resilient so the orthosis won’t increase spasticity—effective even for significantly distorted hands.

Inflates to gradually reduce contracture
Inflatable Carrot enables easy and pain-free insertion of the tapered orthosis into a severely
contracted hand. With the Carrot deflated and the velvety, bacteriostatic cover in place, the
orthosis is gently pulled into the hand with the included placement wand. Unlike most solid
splints, the deflated Carrot fits into the most severely contracted hands. Once in place, the Carrot
orthosis can be gradually and progressively inflated, helping to gently lift the finger tips away from
the palm. The ideal solution for patients experiencing extreme pain, discomfort, or anxiety from splint

Low-load contracture reduction
Turnbuckle splints
The gentle progressive application of a static force is an
effective method of contracture reduction. Turnbuckle
splints offers a convenient, proven, time-tested way to
progressively reduce a contracture by the application of a
series of static force steps. The treatment is always under
the control of the healthcare professional working with the
patient to optimize results.
Turnbuckles were used 75 years ago in combination with
cumbersome plaster cast components. AliMed simply
updated the materials to a lightweight plastic shell and
offers it in off-the-shelf, instant fitting convenience.
The turnbuckle is set to the contracture by simply rotating
a knurled knob. The force on the contracture is
incrementally increased by twisting the knob. As the
contracture is reduced, the force naturally lessens. A few
twists and force is again increased. Ankle, wrist, knee and
elbow versions are available.
All the shells are made from heat-formable Kydex should
custom fitting be necessary. Gentle heating with a heat gun
is suggested. They are lined with a 1⁄8" closed cell, wipeclean foam cushion.
