HANDCRAFT A SUPER SCARF FOR A VOLUNTEER
Here's your chance to suit up for the action even if you
can't play in the big game.
As Indianapolis gets ready to host Super Bowl XLVI, there's
a way you can create a scarf to be a part of the fun and
make your mark on the game. Super Scarves is a program
launched by the 2012 Indianapolis Super Bowl Host
Committee (a not-for-profit) to share warmth and the
Super Bowl experience.
The Host Committee wants to give those who cannot
physically volunteer in February 2012 a chance to be
involved with the Super Bowl. We are looking for
individuals who are interested in making a warm thank
you for the volunteers who will be participating in the
2012 Super Bowl. These beautiful handcrafted scarves will
keep them warm in the cool winter weather. They will
also provide a special connection between the volunteers
and scarf creators because the scarves will become part
of the official volunteer uniform.
To reach our goal of giving a scarf to each of our
volunteers, we need to receive 8,000 scarves total. If you
love to knit, crochet, or weave, or have always wanted to
learn, please help the Host Committee and handcraft a
blue and white scarf for a volunteer!
