TOM RETHMAN SAYS The key to how we do
on offense this year is the continuing growth
of Tom Traficanti at QB and players stepping
in at the WR position. We also need to be able
to run the ball more effectively in 2011 in order
to balance up our offense.

TOM RETHMAN SAYS We return some quality players up front and they
need to perform at a high level. Our secondary play must improve from last

2009 when we were 12th in the country in total defense.

season we are hoping for this fall. We return a large group of guys who got
their feet wet playing last fall and are excited with their progress. We also
feel we have addressed some immediate needs in our recruiting class this
fall, especially in regards to OL depth.

VANCE WINTER SAYS Consistency is the main thing we talk about with this
group. We showed the ability in spurts last year to be an elite defense, but
also had some performances that were totally out of character. We feel like
this defense is the best athletically that we have had here.

a tremendous amount of time and effort into building this program. We
have great leadership on this side of the ball and I believe that will be a key
to playing great defense in 2011. If we can put together some drives on
offense, and hold onto the ball, I believe our defense can play good enough
for us to compete week in and week out in the GPAC.
