We share a unique partnership
with Chapungu Safaris - in biggame hunting bigger is better
Why choose Kambako?
The appeal lies in our ethical “old” African-type hunting safaris, which are professionally led by a team of professional and experienced Professional Hunters yielding exceptional trophies of a very high standard. You arrive as a client and leave
as a lifetime friend.
Kambako Safaris operate in more than 1,7m hectares (3,740,000) within 6 different
concessions ranging from the Tanzanian border all the way to the Zimbabwean
border and in percentage terms we control more than 25% of the Mozambican quota for conservation areas. The unspoiled concessions in Northern Mozambique
totals approximately 1,000,000 hectares (2,200,000 acres) with 150 kilometers
(94 miles) being home to the Lugenda River. Our other concessions in Central &
Southern Mozambique are Cahora Bassa Lake Camp and Gaza Camp respectively. We offer different styles of camps and locations, offering luxurious accommodation, broadband Internet and satellite TV. Regardless of the camps selected, all

Kambako offers the opportunity to hunt exceptional, endemic and rare trophies the old way, on foot with exceptional trackers and PH’s to guide you.
Kambako is a unique concession in that it has the Big 4 and hippo and crocodile with adequate numbers of endemic and rare species that are absent
from the majority of other Big Game Areas. Endemic species include the Niassa Wildebeest, Boheme Zebra, Yellow Baboon, Johnson Impala and
the Rooseveld Sable. The more common plains game include: Livingston Suni and Eland, Red Duiker, Lichtenstein Hartebeest, Spotted Hyena,
Greater Kudu, Warthog, Bushbuck, Bushpig, Common Duiker and Waterbuck.
Staff and cuisine, what makes an evening special?
Kambako Staff are friendly, professionally trained and pay special attention to all individual’s needs. We offer 3 course meals with the meats prepared
from a variety of different species that are hunted within the concession. Our meals are complimented with fresh vegetables and salads generally
sourced from our very own Kambako garden.
Trophy Care and Skinning
Virtually all Kambako employees are long serving members of staff and the skinners are no exception to this. Two of our skinners have a combination
of 37 years experience in the preparation of Trophy’s. The skinning sheds and storerooms are all secure, state of the art facilities leaving nothing to
chance.
PH’s who are they and what makes them special?
Our PH’s are professionally trained, long serving, ethical hunters with a true love for the bush. Their vehicles and equipment are all modern, cared for
and reliable. They are hard working and loyal and will legally do everything within their ability and means to find you the game that you are after. Hunters
arrive as clients and leave as friends with the intention of returning.

LITULE CAMP
This camp is situated in the north east of the NNR, boasting over 50km of Lugenda river frontage and the same again along the Rovuma river. The newly constructed Litule Camp has
a spectacular 5km view up the Lugenda river. Game is seen all day long coming down to quench their thirst in the cool perennial water that originates over 500km away close to the
Malawi border. The camp is situated along the Lugenda riverine in amongst the Baobabs, large leaf chestnuts and fig trees. The sounds of the cheerful birds are heard all day long
and at the end of the days hunting, you have the luxury of retiring into the huge permanent safari tents..
CAHORA BASSA LAKE CAMP
This newly built camp is on the southern banks of the Cahora Bassa Lake. It has three large
en-suite safari tents that can sleep 4 people each and both have spectacular views over the
lake. From the lounge/dining area you have an unobstructed view of the lake with its mountain
ranges on the horizon. Hippos and crocs frolic and feed right on your doorstep. This area
is well known for hunting elephant, leopard, hippo, crocodile, buffalo and a small quantity of
plains-game but it is world renowned for its bream, barbell and especially tiger fishing.
GAZA CAMP - GONAREZHOU NATIONAL PARK
We share a 43-kilometer boundary with the
Gonarezhou National park of Zimbabwe, which
in the Shona language means “the Home of the
Elephant”. There are a number of well-situated
boreholes replenishing the natural pans. There are
no communities or domestic stock in this concession.
The vegetation is typical Lowveld sweet grass and the
area is renowned for its good genetics and exceptional
trophy quality. The major species on quota are
Elephant, Buffalo, Leopard and Plains game, including
Kudu, Eland, Nyala, Steenbuck, Grysbuck, Giraffe,
Impala and Zebra.
