system is the addition of JBA Headers. Premium quality, heavyduty stainless steel construction, and massive power gains are
key elements to the JBA design philosophy. JBA offers a variety
of smog legal Cat4ward® shorty headers and Racing long
tubes to suit most popular applications.
JBA Performance exhaust systems add even more power
potential to your car, truck, or SUV. Power, sound, and quality
are built into each of these premium systems. JBA’s stainless
steel construction, high flow muffler designs, and great looking
tips are the perfect compliment to any vehicle. Get a higher

JBA mid-pipes free up more valuable power by eliminating
restriction between the headers and exhaust system. These
components feature mandrel-bent stainless steel construction,
factory style mounting, and high flow catalytic converters.*
Many of these systems can be installed with stock manifolds,
while others are required for installation of JBA Headers.

Installing new JBA headers? Doing a tune-up? Install a set
of JBA PowerCables™ ignition wires. They are loaded with
features usually found on wires costing 20% more, plus they are
backed by JBA’s reputation for quality and reliability. Each set
is custom tailored and pre-labeled with cylinder I.D. tags for an
easy installation.

Silver ceramic coating can withstand
metal temperatures in excess
of 1500 degrees Fahrenheit. The
coating provides a polished silver

All JBA products start out with a blank sheet of paper. A great deal of
pride is taken in the fact that each product is an original design. This approach
allows JBA to optimize each design to accommodate the differences in each
application for maximum performance gains and durability. The result is a
finished product that fits properly, installs without modification, and meets the
needs of the intended application. With the installation of these products comes
a notable increase in power and efficiency.
The majority of JBA’s products are designed for use on late-model emissions
controlled vehicles. For this reason, great care is taken to provide these applications with the highest quality
smog legal products available. To create power, and to install these products legally, JBA implements
designs that fit into a modern engine compartment without compromising factory emissions equipment.
These are referred to as JBA Cat4ward® Headers.
JBA also offers a variety of “off-road racing only” products, like long tube headers, that are
engineered specifically for race vehicles. These no-compromise designs deliver maximum power gains all
the way to redline. JBA’s long tube headers withstand the abuse at the track and in the shop for the post
race tear downs. JBA’s designs allow for maximum ground clearance on lowered vehicles and the best
access possible for the easiest installation and service.
Most JBA V8 headers include a patented device inside the collector
called the JBA Firecone®. This feature simulates a race-style merged collector that
reduces the turbulence where the primary tubes and collector meet. By reducing
the turbulence, the exhaust gas velocity is maximized, which enhances the flow of
gasses through the exhaust system. Increased flow equals greater power potential.
The performance gains from the Firecone® can be attributed to improved
scavenging. Scavenging occurs when exhaust pulses in the JBA header draws
out spent gasses from the combustion chamber creating a vacuum. This vacuum
accelerates the flow of the air/fuel mixture into the cylinder. In effect, increasing
volumetric efficiency (more air in the cylinder).

JBA Headers uses the Specialty Equipment Market Association’s (SEMA) voluntary product identification
program whereby all emission-sensitive products can be identified by placing color-coded and or numbered
labels on product packaging and listing corresponding numeric codes next to each part number. The
corresponding numbers and explanations are as follows:

stainless steel primary tubes, oversized exhaust ports, extra thick 3/8” one piece flanges, and patented
JBA Firecone®* merged collectors for smooth flow. Each system is designed to give the maximum amount
of ground clearance possible so lowered cars do not drag the collectors. Each system includes high
quality hardware and thorough instructions for a professional no-leak installation.

purchaser, to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for one year.
This warranty covers the replacement or repair of the product only and does not
cover the cost of removal and installation, customer applied aftermarket coatings or any
discoloration or corrosion of finished surfaces.
Damage or product failure resulting from collision, improper installation, off-road use, road hazards, the use of
exhaust insulating wrap or like products or rust occurring after installation, is not covered by the warranty. The
warranty extends only to the original purchaser.
Should a part become defective it should be returned to the original selling retailer and must be
accompanied with the sales receipt. If there is no retailer in your area, call the factory for a return
authorization and return your part prepaid to the factory for inspection. PerTronix reserves the rights to
replace or repair the alleged defective part and return the part freight collect.
