 Link Up: program is designed to help households without

Responsible for the food safety, animal and plant health, and
investigation of unfair and deceptive business practices of all types.
To prevent such practices, the division develops and enforces
industry-wide rules and individual orders against offending
businesses. The division also enforces state laws on consumer
product safety and hazardous substances. Other significant laws
administered by the division include weights and measure unfair
sales practices, grain warehouse keepers and dealers security, and
dairy practices. The division handles individual consumer complaints
involving misrepresentation, false advertising and product safety.

areas of developmental disabilities, mental health, drug abuse, and
alcoholism:
 Birth to Three family support program– families receive education,
therapy, and service coordinator for children ages birth to three who
are found to be developmentally delayed or have a diagnosed
condition which will likely result in developmental delay.

 Consultation- Evaluations and case planning to schools, nursing
homes, and other agencies emphasizing prevention and
coordination of services.
 Emergency- 24 hour phone service to provide information, referral
and emergency care.
 Outpatient- Evaluation, diagnosis and treatment utilizing individual,
group, family and marital therapies. Eligibility determination DD
services.

Extending the resources and knowledge of the University of
Wisconsin system to the people of Grant County. Education
programming:
 4-H and Youth Development-Management of the county 4-H club
program, youth development in schools and community, leadership
and volunteer development.
 Agriculture- Group programs and individual consultations provided
related to crops, farm management, pesticide certification, livestock
nutrition, management and facilities, horticulture, etc.
 Community and Natural Resource Development-Working with
local governments’ civic organizations, business and community
leaders to help identify critical local concerns, to set goals and work
on solutions to problems. Programs include enhancing community
and business developments, protecting natural resources and the
environment, and strengthening local government.

Family Living Education-Educational programs focused on
parenting skills (including parents experiencing divorce) and family
financial management in group settings and individual credit
counseling.
 Miscellaneous services: Many resources are available from a
resource library covering topics listed above and many others.
Education telephone networks link listeners across the state.
Satellite programs are received throughout the U.S. Equipment and
facilities are coordinated through the Extension Office.
 WI Nutrition Education Program - addresses the needs of the low
income in the areas of food and nutrition. Participants in the
nutrition education program learn how to choose and fix meals and
snacks that are nutritious, safe and affordable, to manage their
resources to improve their food security, and to balance the food
they eat with physical activity.


Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic: Diagnostic
assessment and treatment available for youth ages birth to 18 years
old and their families with treatment modalities including
individual, group and family psychotherapies, pharmacotherapy,
and educational program. Specialty services include anxiety
disorders program, and parent/infant and early childhood clinic.
 In Patient Psychiatric Unit: 20 bed locked unit serves adults and
occasional adolescents in need of acute psychiatric care, safety, and
stabilization. Provide comprehensive psychiatric and medical
evaluations, medication evaluation and treatment, individual and
group therapies by multidisciplinary provider teams.
 Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic couples and family therapy, anxiety
disorder center, grief therapy clinic, depression treatment program,
and group therapy.
