The Pheasant Hotel is a very comfortable country hotel,
privately owned and set in the beautiful, unique countryside of
Kelling Heath on the North Norfolk Coast.
Acquired in late 2012 by the award winning Kelling Estate, it has
undergone a transformational major refurbishment.
We’re a short distance from the beautiful Georgian town of Holt
with it’s charming shops and galleries.

The Pheasant Hotel has 32 bedrooms, 8 of which are our
‘Feature Rooms’.
Our Feature Rooms are located on the first floor, many of which
have beautiful views. They are luxuriously decorated and we
provide fresh fruit and homemade cookies on arrival.
We have three sets of interconnecting rooms, perfect for
families, relatives and friends. There is also a larger family room
which in addition to the usual facilities has a sofa bed and we
can provide cots.
We have four dog friendly rooms.

whether it’s in the garden, our bar, or à la carte in “The Garden
Restaurant”... From our own Kelling Estate lamb to fresh crab

All of our food is enthusiastically prepared by our chefs and we
use fresh local produce.

We are so lucky to be immersed in an area of outstanding
natural beauty with a breathtaking coastline, right on our
doorstep.
There are so many places to visit in close proximity to The
Pheasant Hotel. Ideal for families, sailors, walkers, golfers and
bird watchers, there really is something for everyone here.
Things to do: bird-watching, sailing, amazing big deserted
beaches, cycling along the coast road and down undiscovered
little lanes, all types of walking everywhere; strolling and jogging
over marshes, beaches, fields, lanes and big hills, eating and
drinking lots, boat charter and organised seal trips at Blakeney
and Morston, go to Holt, view galleries, dream of buying a
second home here, do a spot of bidding at auctions, ride on the
steam railway, visit stately homes, have a bet on the races at
Fakenham racecourse, rummage in antique shops and browse
for secondhand books, have afternoon tea in splendour at The
Pheasant! Visit the Thursford collection of steam engines and
