Corrosion Resistant Fiberglass Piping Systems
For Oil & Gas Applications
Headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, NOV Fiber Glass Systems is the leading worldwide manufacturer of
fiberglass reinforced epoxy (GRE) products used for onshore and offshore corrosion control. NOV Fiber Glass
Systems brings over 60 years of experience in both the low and high pressure segments of the onshore oil
and gas market, offering the most highly recognized and respected brands in the industry.
CENTRON™ fiberglass piping is a product leader for FGS in the oil and gas market, having met the needs
and requirements for installations from the harsh deserts of Africa to the freezing cold climate in Siberia.
Available in a variety of diameters and a choice of joining systems, CENTRON products can fulfill your
requirements for many applications.
Line Pipe
Standard and API Design
CENTRON line pipe (CEN) used for oil and gas
production is manufactured in sizes ranging from
2” through 4” (50 to 100 mm) diameters and will
handle pressures from 500 psi (3,44 MPa) to 800
psi (5,5 MPa) and temperatures up to 210º F
(99º C).
This line pipe product is used in lower
to medium pressure oil and gas flow lines where
corrosive flows are encountered. CENTRON high
pressure products (SP/SPH) are typically used to
transport highly corrosive produced water and CO2
gas from an oil field’s central station to injection
wells.
The epoxy resin systems offered are
aromatic amine and anhydride and each provides
different chemical resistance and temperature

Centron CEN
Bondstrand
Centron Surface Pipe (SP/SPH) is a 4-thread per inch pattern that, in addition to being a
sealed thread, also incorporates a self-contained, restrained O-ring seal for added reliability.
This exceptionally user friendly connection is used in high pressure applications up to 3500 psi
and 210°F.
Centron CEN is also a coarse 4-thread per inch pattern that seals exclusively with a selfcontained, restrained O-ring seal.
It is used primarily in low pressure flow line or transfer
applications in pressures from 500-800 psi and temperatures up to 210°F
Bondstrand 3000, 3200, and 3300 series piping are manufactured using aromatic amine or anhydride cured
epoxy. They are recommended for general service up to 210°F (99°C). The 3000 series pipe is available in 2”16” diameters with pressure ratings up to 450 psig depending on diameter. The 3200 and 3300 series pipe are
available in 8”-16” diameters with pressure ratings of 200 and 300 psig, respectively.
Downhole Tubing and Casing
Integral Joint / Threaded and Coupled
Centron Fiberglass Tubing / Casing
NOV Fiber Glass Systems is the leading downhole
GRE producer in the industry due to its unique zero
degree fiberglass layering sequence, which provides
superior tensile performance. Tubing is offered in
1½” to 4½” diameter (40 to 115 mm) with pressure
rating from 1000 to 3500 psi (6,9 to 24,1 MPa).
Casing products range in size from 4½” through 95/8”
diameter (115 mm - 250 mm) with pressure ranges
from 650 to 2500 psi (4,5 - 17,2 MPa).
FGS offers GRE downhole tubing and casing
products produced with two distinct curing agents
that withstand temperatures up to 210ºF (99ºC). All
products come in standard nominal joint lengths of
30 ft. (9,0 m). The company’s downhole products are
used in a variety of highly corrosive applications such
as saltwater and CO2 injection wells due to corrosive
nature of injection fluids, in observation wells for
monitoring formations where steel can interfere with
monitoring equipment, and in producing wells where
steel products corrode easily.
Applications
• Wells: Production/Injection/Salt Water Disposal
Chemical Disposal/Water Source/Monitoring
• In-situ Solution Mining
• Coal Bed Methane
• Liner for Corroded Steel Casings
• Observation Well Casing
• Open Hole Casing, Zone or to Surface
Improved Downhole Make
& Break Performance
Centron Carbon Fiber Threaded Tubing
Tubing provides less breakout torque, less thread
wear torque, less thread wear and higher thread
shear.
Superior downhole performance
Unique axial and balanced reinforcement
Joining Systems
NOV Fiber Glass Systems offers adapters to match
the industry standard API 5B EUE 10rd, EUE 8rd and
OD 8rd steel compatible joining systems. The coarse
4-thread per inch plus O-ring seal connections
are available either Threaded and Coupled (T&C)
or Integral Joint (IJ). The joining system is a critical
consideration
in
determining
GRE’s
relative
performance versus steel products. It impacts the
number of times a string of tubing can be “tripped” in
and out of a well, as well as the speed of installation
and compatibility with other products.
Centron Downhole Tubing (DHT) is designed and manufactured with enhanced axial tensile strength and
modulus. Centron Tubing is the perfect choice for demanding high pressure and deep well applications.
Downhole Light Duty is designed for coal bed methane and other open-hole applications. Large diameters
are available on request.
Centron Downhole Casing (DHC) has an exterior surface giving superior cement bonding that satisfies the
most demanding environmental requirements without incurring additional cost of rough coating. DHC is
availble in 4½ - 10¾ inch diameters with pressure ratings from 650 to 2500 psi.
