Shakespeare’s Henry VI creates a world when the
heroes are not kings, but formidable women, such
as Joan of Arc, or rebels, such as Jack Cade. Bold
characterisation, black comedy, rhetorical power
and touching pathos combine in Shakespeare’s
powerful rendering of a country racked by civil war.
Shakespeare almost certainly did not set out to
write a trilogy. Each play can be enjoyed without
knowledge of the others.

The Musical phenomenon
fresh from the west end
★★★★★
‘JAW-DROPPINGLY AMAZING’
Manchester Evening News
Direct from the West End, the smash-hit musical Ghost
comes to Milton Keynes for two weeks this September.
Based on the phenomenal Oscar-winning movie that captured
the hearts and imaginations of a generation back in the 90s, Ghost
is a timeless fantasy about the power of love. Sam is trapped as a
ghost between this world and the next, trying to communicate
with girlfriend Molly through a phoney psychic in the hope
of saving her from his murderer.
Adapted for the stage by Bruce Joel Rubin from his own Oscarwinning screenplay for the film, the amazing special effects and
dazzling staging are by the multi award-winning Paul Kieve
(Inner Magic Circle member) and Tony Award-winner Matthew
Warchus. With a score by rock legends and Grammy award winners,
Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) and Glen Ballard (Michael Jackson
and Alanis Morrisette), and featuring the unforgettable
Unchained Melody, Ghost is a rollercoaster ride of romance
and comedy with dazzling state-of-the-art staging.

Kenneth Williams and Maggie Smith, The Private Ear and The Public

the 60s.
In The Private Ear, will reclusive Bob win the heart of the beautiful

One of the most breathtaking
spectacles in ballet
Le Corsaire
Le Corsaire (The Pirate) is a thrilling ballet about Conrad, a
dashing pirate, and his love for Medora, the beautiful harem
girl. It is a swashbuckling drama of captive maidens, rich
sultans, kidnap and rescue, disguise and betrayal, culminating
in a shipwreck which is one of the most breathtaking spectacles
in ballet. English National Ballet is the first UK company to
perform the complete work which showcases some of the
best bravura male dancing in the ballet repertoire.
Hollywood film designer Bob Ringwood (Batman, Alien 3,
Star Trek Nemesis, Ai and Troy) has created new sets and
costumes for this ripping period piece, an adventure story
which promises unmissable entertainment and great dancing.

written By Diane Samuels
Directed by Andrew Hall
In Germany, in 1939, as the clouds of war thicken, a desperate
mother forces her nine year old daughter Eva onto a train,
sending her out of danger and into the arms of strangers.
In England, decades later, a reluctant mother prepares for the
departure of her grown-up daughter Faith, as she cuts the ties of
childhood. Then a chance discovery opens an unhealed wound and
a long-buried secret is revealed. The bittersweet experience of every
parent as they try to teach their child to survive alone, unites these
women across the decades.
In the nine months before the outbreak of World War II, the
Kindertransport ferried nearly 10,000, mainly Jewish children
from Germany and Austria to safety. Many would never see their
parents again. In the year that marks the 75th anniversary of the
Kindertransport, this is a timely and unmissable story of love
and loss, past and present and hope for the future.

Rod Stewart is quite simply one of the best selling recording
artists of all time in a career spanning five decades. Tonight’s The
Night, the smash-hit West End musical comedy inspired by the songs of
Rod is the all-singing, all-dancing feel good show which went on to play
sold-out theatres across the UK. Tonight’s The Night is back and now is
your chance to rediscover the magic of timeless classic songs, from
Maggie May to Baby Jane and Hot Legs to Sailing plus many more!
Set on the mean streets of Detroit and in the glamorous clubs of
uptown LA, Tonight’s The Night tells the story of a shy young man,
so tongue-tied that he cannot find the courage to declare his love to
the girl of his dreams. How different he is to his hero, that legendary
rock n’ roll vagabond Rod Stewart - now there’s a guy who never had
any trouble hitting on a girl! One night our hero strikes a deal with the
Devil, trading his soul for Rod’s. It seems like a good idea at the time
but this guy is about to find out the hard way that you can’t find
true love using another man’s moves and that Devil or no Devil,
there’s only one Rod Stewart!
Written by multi award-winning writer and comedian Ben Elton (We
Will Rock You) this sensational musical comedy features spectacular
staging, a world class band and dazzling choreography.
