Mrs Kim Leblanc ~ Snowmist Siberians
I purchased my first dog, a Siberian Husky male in 1973. He, fortunately for us, was of good enough quality to become our first
champion and sired our first litter. That was the beginning of Snowmist Siberians. My timing could not have been better for getting
involved in this breed as many of the most famous kennels and their founders were still in existence. My mom and I had a shortlived trial with Alaskan Malamutes and decided they were not for us. But the adventure with other breeds continued and we enjoyed
a Newfoundland and a few Salukis. During this time I handled many different breeds. In 1980 my husband brought American
Foxhounds into the picture, I still have 3 of them today along with the Siberians.
I am still actively showing and breeding on a small scale. Our kennel (Snowmist Siberians) has been highly successful in Canada and around the world.
Our dogs have topped the conformation charts over the years but 2013 brought multi BIS winners in Canada, the USA, Thailand and Russia! One of the
big highlights for 2013 was having litter brothers Seeker and Fizzy score multiple BIS wins. Fizzy also scored #1 Siberian in the USA all systems.
My late husband and I competed in mostly sprint sled dog races throughout Ontario as well as races in Quebec, New York, Michigan and Ohio. Our
teams were competitive at both open breed races and purebred races winning our fair share of awards at both. One year we even tested our sprint dogs
at the Marmora Sled Dog Derby in the 60 mile race, finishing 4th out of 40 plus teams. In the fall of 1996 family and business commitments forced us to
retire. While racing, we actively participated in the Canadian Kennel Club’s Sled Dog Certificate Program earning over 90 titles including many SDU's.
We also earned several ISDRA medals over the years.
In 1993 and 1994 the Siberian Husky Club of Canada awarded our lead dog Northstar’s Snowmist Birch C.D., S.D.U. the Ward Young Trophy for
successfully competing in sled dog racing, showing and obedience within one club year. This was the first time any dog had won this award in back to
back years.
I am a graduate of the canine course “Dogs, A Hobby or Profession” created by the late Casey Gardiner. Included in this educational program was a
course on structure that taught structure based on a measuring process. I have used this process to improve my own knowledge, to help others
understand what they see and to evaluate litters of puppies and grown dogs. I have conducted all breed measuring clinics as well as seminars on this
topic.
Today I am a licensed All Breed Canadian Kennel Club judge. I began my judging career officially in 1994. Since that time I have had the honour of
judging in my own country (Canada), Australia, Belgium, Brazil, China, Columbia, Czech Republic, England, Estonia, France, Finland, Hong Kong,
Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Poland, Spain, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden, the
Philippines, Thailand and the United States of America.
Specialties I’ve had the pleasure of judging specialties that include the Rocky Mountain Siberian Husky Club, the Belgian Siberian Husky Club, Saint
Bernard Club of Ontario, Great Pyrenees Club of Central Ontario, Alaskan Malamute Club of NSW Inc., The Siberian Husky Club of NSW Inc., the first
ever back to back Siberian Husky Club of Great Britain Championship shows, the National Specialty for Nordic Breeds (Spain), the Briard Club of
America, Inc. Regional Specialty, the Nordic Breed Club of Lithuania and the 8e Reunion Nationale d’Elevage du Siberian Husky France just to name a
few.
I have been an active member for many years of the all breed club, Barrie Kennel & Obedience Club Inc. I have held such positions as President, Show
Chair Person, and Judges Selection Committee. Currently I hold the position of social chair.
I served as the Canadian Kennel Club Director for Zone 4 - Ontario North from 2004 through 2008. My duties have included; Chair of the Canadian
Kennel Club Junior Kennel Club Council, past Chair of the Club Relations Committee, member of the Breed Specific Legislation Committee, and Judge’s
Hospitality and Transportation Chair for the Purina National – CKC Charity Event.
Mr Ekarat Sangkunakup Mr. Ekarat Sangkunakup of Thailand,
Recognized throughout the world for his in depth knowledge of dogs, Mr. Sangkunakup is one of very few
individuals licensed to judge All-Breeds everywhere dogs are exhibited. He is routinely the guest of fanciers in
U.S.A, Canada, South America, Russia, Scandinavian, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, South East Asia as
well as his native Thailand. While looking forward to actively pursuing his judging career domestically and abroad,
he continues to campaign his outstanding Thai bred dogs in the United States.

Cindy Foggitt – Wolvereen Siberians
I have shared nearly my whole life with Siberian Huskies. My first Siberian was a rescue I grew up with as a child
and was when my love affair with the breed began. I have been breeding, exhibiting, working and racing under my
kennel name- Wolvereen Siberian Huskies for 23 years. I began in obedience but soon after added conformation
and sledding to fill my life entirely with all that I could do with my dogs. I was the South African purebred dryland
sprint champion for 4 years whilst still living in South Africa and went on to represent South Africa at 3 World
Championships WSA (World Sled dog Association) championships in Sweden and again in Germany and the IFSS
(International Federation of Sleddog sports) in Quebec.
I have produced multiple champions in numerous countries throughout the world and BISS winners all with a limited
breeding program. I held the position of chairperson of the Siberian Husky club of Gauteng and president of the
South African Federation of Sleddog Sports for multiple terms. My objective is and always has been to strive to
produce healthy, structurally sound and correct Siberians that compete in harness and the conformation ring and
excel at these 2 disciplines simultaneously.
Kris Brown - Wolf River Siberians
I’ve been involved with Siberians since 1992 when my youngest daughter Megan decided she wanted a purebred
Siberian Husky and that she would also like to get into the show ring. Needless to say we were totally taken over by
the “potato chip syndrome” and had on the average twelve dogs in our kennel.
I’ve been an SHCC member since 1993 acting as Area Rep for Northern Ontario, as well as serving as Vice
President for many years. I have been the Newsletter Editor as well as the Web Page Administrator for the last few
years.
I’ve been involved with breeding, showing, sledding, racing, agility and obedience with our dogs. I’m a CGN
evaluator; teach novice/foundations agility and basic obedience for local clubs. Recently I have branched off into
Barn Hunting and I’m now involved in starting a new barn hunt group in our area. We have produced Canadian
Champions, AmGh Champions and even an Icelandic/International Champion. Our dogs have been in the top Rally
Siberians in Canada the past few years. I now also show and breed Shiba Inu.
We had our own recreational sled team and were part of our local SHCC area which hosted the Silver Sled Dogsled race at the Sleeping Giant
Provincial Park just outside of Thunder Bay, Ontario. Most often I was one of the timers, while my husband was Race Marshall. We also worked at
most of the local sled dog races over the past years.
Thank you for this opportunity to judge sweeps at the Nationals, I am really looking forward it!!

the trial. It shall be the duty and obligation of the club holding the trial to see that this rule is effectively carried out.
4.4 Limited Entries
4.4. If indications point to a probable entry in any or all classes in excess of the club’s capabilities, it may limit entries in any or
all classes by prominent announcement on the title cover page of its premium list, or immediately under the obedience
and/or rally heading in the premium list of a combined conformation show and obedience and/or rally trial, that entries in
such class, classes or trial, will close automatically when a certain limit has been reached, even if the official closing date
for entries has not arrived.

the reserve list. The person making the entry shall be notified of his position on the list. In the event that the entry of a bitch
in season is withdrawn after the closing date, it may be substituted with one from the reserve list up to and including the
day of the trial. At the club’s discretion, if the club is notified in writing after the closing date that an entry other than a bitch
in season will be absent from a trial, the entry may be substituted with one from the reserve list up to 24 hours prior to the
trial. Fees will not be refunded for any reason other than a bitch being in season and to those on the reserve list who did

Moving Up
6.9 Moving Up
6.9.1 A dog that is registered in the records of the CKC with an eligible number according to these rules and has fulfilled the
requirements for a title in accordance with these rules may be moved to the next level of competition if the schedule
permits. The transfer must be on the appropriate move-up form and submitted to the trial secretary by the owner or
handler at least 15 minutes before the start of the class.
6.9.2 When move ups are permitted, clubs are exempt from the requirements of Section 4.3.4 and 4.3.5.
6.9.3 The Trial Secretary shall amend the judge’s book and the marked catalogue, which is to be sent to the CKC with the
requests attached to the appropriate entry forms.

level before moving up, then all qualifying ribbons and/or awards earned by the dog incorrectly entered shall be forfeited
and cancelled by the CKC and the owner may be subject to disciplinary action.
6.9.5 In order for a dog to be eligible to move up, the dog must be individually registered with the CKC, have a Performance
Event Number (PEN), or an Event Registration Number (ERN) before entries close. The addition of a CKC number after
close of entries does not make the dog eligible and will result in referral to the Discipline Committee.

hour before the start of the trial. Exhibitors incorrectly entered in the Novice B class are permitted to move the dog to the
