La Jaula (the jail) is a radio show and multimedia product formed by musical and
cultural information that impulses the growth of national and american rock and metal
bands. It main structure is followed by rock & roll music and all of its genres, especially
heavy metal.

Since the beginning in 2011 La Jaula proposes a whole multimedia experience. It
includes the radio show on FM and online streamcast; a direct contact through social
networks (Facebook, Blogger, Twitter, Youtube, Flickr) always worked by a group of
professional journalists; a web page where all the programs are able to be downloaded
as podcasts. Also, the site includes interviewed band´s information, press photos of
metal shows, videos, etc.
La Jaula has created a perfect fusion between the local metal scene, live music and
journalism. More than 40 bands were interviewed live in the show: Adrian Barilari
(Argentina), Martin Méndez (member of Opeth), Radical, La Triple Nelson, 4 Pesos de
Propina, Federico Navarro, Asspera, Fixion, Territory, Coda, Nameless, Rotten State,
Sentencia, etc.
In studio, more than ten live concerts were held; always taking care of the sound
quality and the identity of each band.

Lic. Guillermo Cardozo (Bachelor of Science in Communication)
Graduated from the Licenciatura en Ciencias de la Comunicación – UDELAR (Public
National University as a Bachelor of Science (and arts) in Communication) in 2012
after reinforcing his studies in audiovisual, photographic and journalism fields.
Curious and critic by nature, founds in the photographic art the way to communicate
human essence as well as transmitting the energy of the musical movement played by
musicians. He actually works in national media and as a photo freelance, while growing
his personal digital portfolio. Live metal and rock shows feed his collection.
As a professional photographer he has won one of the most important photo challenge
for the yearly social and political publication of SERPAJ (Peace and Justice Service
Uruguay): “Human Rights in Uruguay, 2011”. The cover of the book plus four inside
pictures belongs to Guillermo Cardozo.
Also, Guillermo´s work has been published in blogs, E-zines and metal and rock
national magazines. One example is the online photo exhibition which belongs to the
Montevideo Centre of Photography:

Since 2010 Guillermo Cardozo has pictured more than 60 bands, within national and
