Heavy HAULING Edwards offers solutions for transporting oversized and overweight items that require special handling. We can provide turnkey service for single units as well as transportation services for projects requiring multiple moves. To ensure proper height clearance, we transported this 17’ tall, 284,000 lb. transformer on our 6-deck-6 configuration of Goldhofer trailer. To eliminate concerns about possible damage while crossing a 300’ bridge, Edwards transported this 346,441 lb. transformer on our 10 tandem Dual Lane trailer. 3 (800) 404-6064 Edwards utilized our 6 line 4-file self-propelled Goldhofer to safely transport three 220,000 lb. bulb housings down a 14% grade. SPECIALIZED RIGGING With our broad range of equipment and experience, Edwards can handle your specialized rigging needs including jobs requiring a crane-based solution, a combination of strand jacks and gantries, or a tipup with a crane and gantry. Edwards can develop a plan that is best suited for you. After receiving this 473,800 lb. transformer at port, it was positioned into the cargo bay of our 18-line Goldhofer Suspension Beam trailer. This 350,860 lb. dryer was offloaded from a barge on 15 lines of our Goldhofer trailer and transported into a refinery. Utilizing our 18 line 4-file self-propelled Goldhofer trailer and our barge ramps, this 783,000 lb. transformer was moved off a barge and transported into the protected area of a nuclear plant. Edwards engineering provided barge clearances and load securement. ENGINEERING Edwards is staffed with engineers from a multitude of disciplines including structural, mechanical, civil, and marine. They have the experience and expertise to develop and write engineering rigging plans to meet the needs of your projects from the most simple to the most complex. edwardsmoving.com 4 MARKETS Edwards utilized our 15 line self-propelled Goldhofer to transport this 448,640 lb. transformer through the middle of town and up a 14% grade . POWER This 820,000 lb. generator was offloaded from a barge and transported into a power plant on our 12 line 4-file self-propelled Goldhofer trailer. This 169,000 lb. transformer was offloaded from rail using our hydraulic lock and slide system onto our 6-deck-6 configured Goldhofer trailer to reduce clearance issues for a 30 mile transport to a power plant. 5 (800) 404-6064 When it comes to power, we’re proud to have some of the most extensive experience in the industry. Our high level planning and decades long experience, help us maintain a clean track record working in time sensitive environments. We’re proud of the fact that we frequently deliver ahead of schedule service, during the most critical time sensitive equipment change outs and shut downs. One of two HRSG modules that were unloaded from rail using our 500 ton gantry and transported into a plant on 12 lines of our self-propelled Goldhofer. Two 20’ tall reactors were transported simultaneously using our 6-deck-6 configuration of Goldhofer trailers, over a 24 mile route consisting of both inner city and highway travel with a gross-permitted load of 343,000 lbs. NUCLEAR This generator circuit breaker was installed at a nuclear power plant using our 6 line self-propelled Goldhofer trailer and our 450T gantry system. Edwards’ nuclear certified crew loaded this 444,000 lb. 28’ tall reactor onto a barge for transport using our 45’ barge ramps and 12 lines of our self-propelled Goldhofer trailer. Utilizing our Nuclear Certified Crews, we’ve been able to develop innovative strategies for successfully delivering our nuclear jobs on time or ahead of schedule. We’re able to do this because we put the time and effort into preplanning for your project. We also realize safety is an important part of the nuclear industry, so we work hard with your staff to achieve a “zero” percent ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) rating. Working successfully together is a part of any nuclear transport activity, and we’re proud to do it best. Edwards transported this 701,069 lb. fully-assembled transformer into the protected area of a nuclear plant on our 12 line 4-file self-propelled Goldhofer. edwardsmoving.com 6 MARKETS To reduce overhead clearance issues for an 84 mile route, Edwards transported this 275,500 lb. Yankee Dryer on our Goldhofer Dual Lane trailer in a 4-deck-4 configuration. PETROCHEMICAL Edwards transported a 53’x13’ electrical package through very tight quarters in a refinery using 9 lines of our Goldhofer trailer. Self-propelled dollies were used to move over 20 duct segments, measuring up to 95’ in length, 30’ in width, and 38’ in height. 7 (800) 404-6064 This 252,429 lb. reactor was one of three offloaded from a barge and transported on our 18 line Goldhofer trailer into a refinery. We recognize that being capable of safely transporting and erecting these super-sized components in extremely tight spaces is vital to our longevity working in the industry. Our dedicated personnel work hard to beat deadlines in these facilities during their most critical equipment change outs and shutdowns. We’ve had over half a century of experience in this industry and consistently move these units on time and within budget. Edwards moved four cold boxes weighing up to 327,000 lbs. and measuring up to 113’9” long on our 12 line self-propelled Goldhofer to maneuver through the tight spaces within a manufacturing facility. MANUFACTURING/AUTOMOTIVE Whether we’re offloading hundreds of oversized steel stamping components from ship to rail to automotive plant or unusual shaped skulls made from molten metal and solidified, we’re able to use over fifty years of experience to custom create the most cost-effective solution. We deliver those solutions on time and accident free, every time. To navigate around multiple concrete piers, Edwards utilized two of our 12-line self-propelled Goldhofer trailers in a split 4-file configuration to change-out an 800,000 lb. 32’ diameter furnace. One of five press pieces weighing 160,000 to 300,000 lbs. that was transported on our 6 line Goldhofer trailer into an automotive plant. One of three ball mills, weighing 260,000 lbs. each and measuring 42’ long and 15’ in diameter, were transported on-site using 9 lines of our Goldhofer trailer. edwardsmoving.com 8 MARKETS To transport this 93’7” long vessel over 1200 miles through multiple states, Edwards utilized our steerable 13-axle trailer with 100’ beams for an overall length of 203’. OVER-THE-ROAD Edwards used our 13-axle trailer to transport this transformer 142 miles with a gross weight of 234,644 lbs. For an 1116 mile multi-state haul with multiple bridge crossings, Edwards utilized our 8 tandem Dual Lane Goldhofer trailer to transport this 86’5” long vessel with a gross permitted weight of 380,000 lbs. 9 (800) 404-6064 Edwards has a wide variety of transport configurations capable of hauling the largest and most difficult loads in the industry. Our extensive experience across the country, working with state DOT and other governing agencies, allows us to tackle the most complex multistate moves and international moves between the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. This 83’8” long, 201,900 lb. historic Presidential railcar was transported 15 miles on our 12 line THP Goldhofer trailer. OTHER MARKETS One of six 71’ long x 16’3” tall bridge sections transported from factory to port within a tight time frame on our 12 line self-propelled Goldhofer. This historic landmark facade, with a gross weight of 190,000 lbs. and measuring 30’L x 2’W x 32’H, was transported a half mile using four self-propelled dollies. In addition to heavy equipment of all mega shapes and sizes, Edwards specializes in safely transporting unique objects such as bridges, historical structures, valuable sculptures, and locomotives. Safety is key in every aspect of lifts, rigging, and specialized transports. Each and every maneuver we perform is executed with the most comprehensive plan designed by a team of engineers to provide you with the safest, most cost-effective solution. This 1,440,000 lb. concrete bridge and two 1,080,000 lb. steel bridges were jacked up 18” and supported over a major highway system while maintenance work was performed. edwardsmoving.com 10 EQUIPMENT Edwards utilized our 6-deck-6 configuration of Goldhofer trailer to reduce clearance issues while transporting this 170,000 lb, 23’8” high transformer through the middle of town. Heavy TrANSPORT Utilizing our 45’ barge ramps, Edwards offloaded this 104’ long, 286,598 lb. cold box from a barge and transported it 17 miles on our 18 line self-propelled Goldhofer. Two of our 6 line Goldhofer trailers with bolsters were used to move this 105’ long vessel, measuring 19’1” in diameter, through very tight quarters into an industrial facility. 11 (800) 404-6064 Goldhofer PST/PST-E, THP Dual Lane Trailer Dual Lane Suspension Beam Trailer Conventional Multi-Axle Trailers 13-Axle Trailers Perimeter Frame Trailer Self-Propelled Hydraulic Dollies This 660,000 lb. transformer was transported around sharp turns and up grades exceeding 12% in winter conditions on 12 lines of our 4-file self-propelled Goldhofer trailer. Edwards transported this 151,000 lb. replacement transformer on our 13-axle trailer to safely deliver it to a power plant for an emergency change-out. With a gross-permitted load of 1,005,072 lbs, this turbine combined skid was one of three transported on our 32axle Dual Lane trailer and suspension beams 126 miles along major interstate highways and narrow country roads using one pull and two push trucks. This 370,000 lb. boiler, with a high center of gravity, was offloaded from a barge using our self-propelled dollies. To distribute the load on several bridges for DOT permitting, we combined 8 of our dollies and our 18-line Goldhofer trailer to transport this transformer with a gross-permitted load of 753,070 lbs. edwardsmoving.com 12 EQUIPMENT One of four 155,559 lb. stators offloaded from our 6-deck-6 trailer utilizing our hydraulic lock and slide system. This 497,380 lb. transformer was offloaded from an Edwards Goldhofer transporter, tilted up and placed into position on a temporary foundation utilizing our 500 ton gantry system. Heavy RIGGING This 185’ long, 506,000 lb. concrete bridge girder was one of four lifted and placed over 60’ in the air with our 800 ton strand jack system. This 863,600 lb. LP condensor and an 862,400 lb. HP condensor at 71’L x 25’6”W x 35’H were slid 240’ using our 500-ton hydraulic lock and slide system. Edwards used our 500 ton gantry to unload this generator rotor shaft after a 184 mile multi-state transport on our 8 tandem Dual Lane Goldhofer. This 14 mile move involved multiple challenges including flooding issues along the route and crossing a median between a 4-lane highway using our 15 line 4-file self-propelled Goldhofer. We utilized our 120’ bridge jumpers to jump two 82’ long bridges and transport this generator stator on our 18 line 4-file selfpropelled Goldhofer with a permitted weight of 1,250,570 lbs. Bridge & utility MITIGATION Combining the use of our low-profile deck and bridge jumpers to mitigate both overhead obstructions and weak bridges, Edwards transported this transformer with a gross permitted weight of 786,596 lbs.
