Original Design
Design is about telling stories that evokes memories and dreams. All good objects has its roots in
something that the creator lived and experienced. His sensibility towards materials or forms.
Combinations of colours and volumes combined with tactile feelings sometimes pull out memories
of something we once smelled, touched or saw. Interesting objects can provoke instantly or just be
there in a silent way that, when time passes teaches our eye to see a little more.

Mark Lafferty of Attribute Design
Mark Lafferty is known for his famous gaming stool which was designed for Crown Casino in Melbourne. He believes
that in order to bring out the best in designing a product, the designer has to go through all touch points of the
product’s function. In actually building the furniture, Mark further explains that it is very important to have handson experience. Aside from furniture design, he has experienced working on the factory floor as an upholsterer, spray
polisher, welder and even as a salesman. His holistic experience enables Mark to evaluate the product’s real worth.
