The paintball marker you have chosen to purchase is not a toy. It is imperative that it is used
under adult supervision or by adults. When using the marker, please adhere to all local, state and
federal laws. Read the entire manual before using this paintball marker. Failure to comply with
the instructions in this manual may nullify your warranty.
II. Bruizer Introduction
It is very important that before using the Bruizer paintball marker, every individual that will be
using the marker read this entire manual for proper operation, safety and handling. The most
important understanding of the paint ball marker is to realize that it is NOT a toy. Caution
should be used at all times. ever point the gun at anyone that does not have the appropriate
head, eye and body protection. Furthermore. the gun should never be pointed or fired at anyone.
and should only be used at a supervised. licensed and insured paint ball field.
Paint ball is a sport that the entire family can enjoy. However, proper guidelines should be
followed to ensure safety and enjoyment for everyone involved. It is important that before using
the Bruizer, you must become knowledgeable of the marker -- before going to the paint ball field
to use it. Leave the C02' tank off until you are ready to play at an appropriate paint ball field.
Before handling the marker, you should become completely familiar with the assembly and
disassembly, and learn to inspect the marker for wear, nicks and burrs on all parts. This will
ensure proper operation of the marker before heading to the field. O-rings opften need
replacement, and cup seals need to be maintained in a clean manner. A detailed schematic is
included for reference on all parts of the marker and should allow for easy maintenance. However,
if you do not feel comfortable, take the marker to a pro shop with all the proper documentation
for a qualified technician to perform proper maintenance.
We are confident that you will be satisfied with your purchase of the Bruizer and look forward to
serving you. Plus, we are always looking for ways to improve and listen to changes consumers
want on their markers. So please call us at 800-801-1234 and tell us what you think.
Enclosed is a list of Paintball Magazines we recommend for paintball awareness and upcoming
issues in the sport.

III. Safety and Handling
Always treat the paint ball marker as if it were loaded. When handling the marker, always keep
your fingers or any other objects away from the trigger assembly to avoid accidental discharges.
Make sure when carrying or transporting the marker, to keep the muzzle pointed in the
downward direction. Furthermore, always have a barrel plug in place and keep the safety on,
until you are ready to operate the marker.
It is very important to have the proper paint ball protection before going to the paint ball field
for play. This includes, and is not limited to: eye, head, throat, and body protection. All
protection used should be designed for the paint ball sport, eg: eye gear designed specifically for
paint ball usage.
Remember. the Bruizer paintball marker should never be pointed or fired at anyone, and should
only be used at a supervised, licensed and insured paint ball field.
IV. Assembly of Power Feed
Take the power feed plug out of the bag (item #69090), unless it is already installed. Now push
the plug into the power feed. The power feed plug should "snap" into place. Be sure the flange of
the plug is visible through the slot on the side of the power feed. If the plug is not properly
positioned, no balls will feed into the marker. The plug should be positioned so the user can see
the tip of the plug through the slot in the power feed. The snap toward the front of the marker on
the plug should be locked into place.
V. Preparing Bruizer for Usage
Tanks --The Bruizer is designed to use C02 for the proper ,function of the blow back system.
(The Outlaw is set up with a.regulator and can use either C02 or air. You may attach the proper
C02 tank that uses the industry standard American threading. The Bruizer is designed to use
tanks or adapters that are designed for the paint ball industry. Please purchase your tanks and
accessories from stores specializing in paint ball products and make sure the tanks meet
"American Industry Standards." Foreign tanks with different threading may strip your air
connection assembly. Do not use them. If you have problems screwing a tank onto your gun, go
back to the store and consult with knowledgeable staff members. Do not force the tank into the
assembly. When purchasing your CO 2 tank, consult with the paint ball store employees for. the
proper procedure in handling and storage of your tank(s). Make sure to always get your tanks
filled by authorized, skilled and knowledgeable technicians. Do not try to refill tanks by yourself.
Do not use tanks that have not been properly maintained or that are damaged. It is very
important that caution be exercised when refilling or attaching C02 tanks. When re-filling a tank
it is important to drain any remaining C02 before refilling. That way you will get a clean fill.
Loaders -- Your Bruizer Outlaw & Fugitive come with a BOSSTM 170-round loader. There are
several loaders on the market that will fit the Bruizer. If you want a different loader, go to a local
paint ball store and purchase one that fits your needs and will work correctly with the Bruizer.
They range from simple gravity feed loaders to motor-assisted loaders.
Barrels - All Bruizer in the Outlaw series will acceot Spyder style threaded barrels. The barrel
that came with your marker has been manufactured under the strictest guidelines and is an
excellent barrel for your marker .
.45 Grip Frames - Your Bruizer is equipped with a state-of-the-art all aluminum .45 grip frame.
There are none better.
VI. Preparing the Bruizer for
Field Operation
Always treat the marker as if it were loaded at all times. When handling the marker always keep
your fingers or any other objects away from the trigger assembly so there are no accidental
discharges. Then make sure that the safety is ON. There should always be a barrel plug in the
muzzle of the gun until it is ready to be fired.
i) With the muzzle of the Bruizer pointed in a safe direction (away from people, animals or other
objects) place the loader into the plastic elbow of the Bruizer. (See schematic or loader
instructions)
ii) For side-cocking setups: Pull the Cocking knob back until it is locked into position. Activate
Firing Safety Pin. For rear-cocking setups, pull back into the cocked position. Always be sure to
cock the marker before putting on the tank.
iii) Gently and carefully screw the C02 tank into the air assembly of the Bruizer. On the Bruizer
Fugitive this would be directly into the air receiver (item # 69800 on the Schematic. On all other
m eIs, this would be at the rear of the Bottom Line, or ASA Adapter (item #69100 on
schematic). This will now pressurize the gun.
iv) At this point you are ready to fill the loader with .68 caliber paint balls designed specifically
for use with paint ball markers. Never place any other foreign objects int<;>the loader. Fill the
loader until it reaches its capacity as designated by loading instructions.
v) You may now remove the barrel plug, keeping the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.
vi) When you are ready to begin play, aim at target and turn safety off. The Bruizer is now
considered Live, or Hot, and is ready to fire.
n
I'
VII. Cleanin2 and Maintenance
After playing with, or storing the gun for any period of time, proper maintenance is necessary for
correct operation and to maintain peak performance. However, BEFORE attempting any
disassembly, make sure that the loader and all C02 sources have been disconnected and the gun
is NOT pressurized. Make sure the breech of the gun is clear of any debris or paintballs. Be
certain that the barrel plug is in place and that the safety is ON.
Proper maintenance includes cleaning and lubricating the Bruizer before playing or storing the
marker. It is imperative that the Bruizer be properly lubricated and kept free of debris and dirt to
eliminate any friction that would prevent proper operation. Use lubricants only if they do not
contribute to the deterioration of parts inside the Bruizer, especially O-rings and seals. It is
recommended that you use Teflon or Silicone based lubricants.
You be~in cleanin~
only after the ~un has been depressurized.
Remove all C02 tanks
and remote accessories. Then carefully begin to unscrew the barrel in a counter-clockwise
direction until it is removed. Once it has been taken off it should be cleaned using soap and water
with a squeegee. Then lubricate the threads with an extremely thin layer of lubricant. It is very
important to keep the barrel clean as it affects the accuracy of the Bruizer. Pain tballs have a
gelatin shell that tends to leave residue in the barrel and after use there tends to be a build up of
this gelatin. By cleaning the barrel, You ensure top accuracy, speed and performance, while
limiting the chances of friction-caused ball breakage.
VIII - Field Stripping
(Be sure to have the schematic drawing available as a reference.)
you be~in field strippin~ only after the ~un has been depressurized.
i) Your Bruizer Outlaw is designed for easy field stripping. No allen wrenches or other tools are
required. Make sure that the Bruizer is uncocked, by squeezing the trigger, making sure no foreign
objects or paintballs are in the breech. Other models in the Outlaw series require an allen wrench
(included) to remove the appropriate body screws. The quick release thumb screws are available
from Nu-Line Industries or from certified Bruizer dealers.
ii) Once the Bruizer is uncocked you can loosen and remove the top screw (#69610) from the rear
of the marker. The bolt plug (#69050) can now be unscrewed by hand.
iii) Next, remove the cocking knob by unscrewing it by hand or with a screw driver if it is tight. If
you have a rear-cocking system, disregard this step.
iv) Then remove the velocity adjuster plug (#69230). Be careful, it is under pressure from the
main spring. Loosen the remaining 2 screws labeled #6950 from the sid of the receiver. Hold the
plug as you unscrew. Next remove the main spring and spring guide. Then remove the rubber
bumper (#69330).
v) By tilting the gun back, the bolt and hammer will now corne out. Note: Watch as the bolt and
hammer corne out to see how they join with the connecting pin (#69340).
vi) It is now possible to clean the upper part of the receiver, including the breech and power feed
tube area. After cleaning the upper frame area with mild detergent, the bolt and hammer should be
lightly lubricated (using Teflon or silicone based lubricants). Do not over lubricate.
vii) To reassemble, take the bolt and hammer and join together using the connecting pin. Point the
Bruizer toward the ground and slide the bolt and hammer in their respective holes until they stop.
You will notice that they do not go in completely. At this point, apply slight pressure to the
back of the hammer and squeeze the trigger. The bolt and hammer should now slide all the way
m.
viii) Then reinsert the bumper. Carefully slide in the main spring and spring guide.
ix) Screw in the bolt plug and the velocity adjuster plug.
x) Hold securely, and tighten the remaining two screws back into the lower, rear portion of the
receiver as indicated on the schematic.
IX. Transporting or Storing Your Bruizer
When storing or transporting your Bruizer, you should always keep the gun depressurized. No
tanks or remote accessories should be attached. Because your marker should never be loaded until
you are ready to use it, take the loader off and keep, a barrel plug in the muzzle. Keep the safety
on, and try and place the Bruizer in a carrying case to prevent mishandling and to keep it clean.
General Reminder
Your Bruizer is not a toy. It should be used only by adults or with adult supervision. This
marker is not intended for use by non-adults without supervision. Respect other peoples'
property and do not use this marker to destroy or damage other peoples' property. When using
the Bruizer, obey all local, state and federal laws. When entering a paintball field, become aware
of their rules and regulations.
Before taking the Bruizer on holidays or transporting it through public areas, such as airports, or
bus and train stations, call ahead for regulatory information regarding the carrying and
transportation of such an item.
x. Bruizer - Fine Tuning
Velocity Adjustment- Varying the Speed of the Paint ball: With the Bruizer pointed in the
downward direction, rotate the velocity screw (#90005) clockwise. This increases the mainspring
tension and increases the velocity. Turning the velocity screw counter-clockwise decreases the
pressure on the mainspring and decreases the momentum gained by the hammer. In doing so there
is a decrease of gas flow, causing a decrease of velocity. Once the velocity is set, take the small
allen wrench supplied and lock the velocity into place by turning set screw clockwise.
When adjusting the velocity, be sure to have the gun chronographed at the field were you intend
to play and make necessary adjustments. Different fields have different velocity requirements.
Please consult range officer when going to play. Most fields restrict the fps (fee per second)
velocity to about 280 FPS. If velocity is set too high, you can cause injury to your opponent.
Remember, paint ball is a'sport.
XI. Using a Regulator
Your Bruizer Outlaw comes equipped with a Regulator, which will allow the marker to shoot
either C02 or compressed air / nitrogen. The Regulator, or other regulators, can be used on all
models in the Outlaw series. It is important to properly use and set your regulator to get the
most efficient use of C02 or air, and for the safety and well-being of the user. Please follow these
instructions on the care of your Regulator and on adjusting the settings:
i) The regulator has been set at approximately 650 psi (pounds per square inch) at the factory.
This is an ideal pressure setting both for C02 and for air / nitrogen.
ii) To adjust the pressure you must first COMPLETELY de-pressurize the regulator. First
remove the C02 tank or high pressure air tank. Air is trapped in the regulator. Dry fire your
marker from 5-7 or 8 times to release all air our of the regulator.
iii) Remove the hex nut from the regulator (#77001). Insert a pressure gauge.
iv) Unscrew the bottom cover (#69170). Then using a coin or screwdriver, carefully turn the
screw (69180) counter clockwise until it easily will tum by hand. Tum slowly a couple more
turns, but be careful not to unscrew completely.
v) Keeping the regulator turned away from your body or anyone else, insert the C02 or
compressed air tank. The gauge should read 0 (zero).
vi) To re-set the pressure on the regulator, slowly turn the screw clockwise, watching the gauge
at all times. It is best to set the pressure between 550 and 650 psi. Lower than 550 may reduce
your range. WARNING: do not set pressure above 950.
vii) Replace the bottom cap. You may leave in the gauge or take out and replace with the hex nut.
NOTE: If you accidentally set the pressure too high, you must start from. the beginning to'readjust the pressure.
If you accidentally unscrew the adjusting screw completely, interior components of the regulator
may fall out. You should take the regulator to an authorized technician for replacement of parts.
Be sure interior parts are replaced in order, according to the diagram on the schematic.
XII. Troubleshooting
1) [(fun
auto-trieeers or fires and does not re-cock:
A. Check grip frame screws and see if they are loose.
B. Check C02 tank, it may be low on C02.
C. Check hammer O-ring, it may be the wrong size or broken.
D. Make sure the hammer and all bolt and hammer O-rings are lightly lubricated.
Recommendation: Put 2 or 3 drops of lubricant into the bottom line and fire the gun 20 or 30
times. This will lube the gun from the inside.
2) Ball Breakaee:
A. Check the quality and age of the paint balls when excessive breakage
has occurred.
B. Check the ball detent pin. (#69540) If detent pin does not protrude into the
inside diameter of the breech, the gun may double feed. This will cause the gun to chop balls. To
correct this problem, replace detent pin. To do so you must loosen the screws (#83001) and
push the ball detent pin down and then tighten the screws.
C. Excessively high velocity may also cause paintball breakage.
3) Air Leaks:
A. If air leaks from the barrel:
1. Check and clean the aluminum cup seal. (#69290)
2. Replace Orings on valve (#69740). Use clear Oring at front, black at rear of valve.
Note of Caution: When handling valve, do not use any abrasive objects or tool for removal of
valve, as this will cause damage to valve and lead to further C02 leakage and void the warranty.
B. If air leaks from the front of the body:
1. Replace O-ringson the air receiver (#69800).
C. If air leaks from bottom line (#69100):
1. Replace C02 tank O-ring.
4) Velocity Problems:
A. High Velocity:
1. Tum velocity adjuster (#90005) counter-clockwise. If the velocity screw has
been turned to the point at which it comes out of the velocity adjuster plug and velocity is still
high, then,
2. cut main spring (#69260) by one or two coils, if problem remains cut additional
coils, one at a time.
R Low Velocity:
1. Tum velocity adjuster (#90005) clockwise. If the velocity screw has been
screwed in completely and velocity continues to be low, the main spring will need
to be replaced with a longer or stiffer spring.
C. Inconsistent Velocity:
1. Remove grip frame and tighten valve retaining screw. (#69410)
4) Still can't fieure it out?
A. Go online at www.bruizer.com and download our updated troubleshooting guide.
B. Call 1-800-801-1234 for a technican support representative and we will be more
than happy to answer any questions you might have.
NOTE: Most common problems are O-ring related or improper cleaning. Please make sure that
when replacing any parts they are supplied by u-Line Industries. Do OT replace O-rings that
have not been supplied ~y Nu-Line Industries from your dealer. Only u-Line Industries parts
for Bruizers should be used in the S.O.B marker. Proper lubrication is also necessary. Use
Unique synthetic or K.C Trouble Free lube.
